1-0 out of 5 stars I wish I had read the description a little closer...
This book has very little to do with money a very much to do with sending money to the church. I bought a copy for each of my girls, 16 and 18 years old, each of them very spiritual, and they were both very turned off by the "preachy" context of the book. In fact, the 18-year-old told me she felt like she learned nothing about money, and as for the spiritual side, there are better books for that as well. She was especially turned off by one passage that recommended one way of making more money is giving more to the church.

4-0 out of 5 stars Solid in the psychological issues surrounding money
We bought this book to help teach our 7 year old how to manage her money. Where the book met expectations were the areas of values and healthy ways to think of money : Money isn't ours. We're stewards of God's money and therefore, we should spend it wisely, etc.

Where it didn't meet expectations, is that it didn't really provide a sample plan for how to allocate resources. While certainly, the greatest issue in dealing with money is mental -- getting your head around the idea that you have to live within your means and that you don't have to have everything NOW or just because someone else has it -- there is also a need for concrete examples....Given the above problem, I would still recommend this book as something to work through with a child because those psychological issues about spending are significant enough that they can make the difference between a someday adult with healthy attitudes about money and someone who is in debt, unhappy yet still wanting MORE! In that respect, this book is aces. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Difficult to understand
This book is definitely not for novice bookkeepers. You really need to know a lot about the subject in order to understand the material in this book. I personally felt as though it was a waste of money, and it has not helped me enter the bookkeeping field as I had hoped it would have. I had bookkeeping in college 30 years and thought this book would refresh my memory, but it did not. ... Read more

Book Description

This book is an empowerment tool that anyone regardless of status or condition can utilize to gain wholesome success in life from the scratch. The book represents a total paradigm shift in the concept of wealth building. It provides a step-by-step guideline to take anyone up the ladder of wealth creation, which the titans of wealth and riches have been using but the poor and middle class never knew. No matter how devastating a man's situation is, the ideas in this book will get him out of the mental rut. What is the proof? Apart from the outstanding anecdotal supports and principles contained in the book, the author's own personal accomplishments are living testimonies of the potency of the secrets contained in the book: Seni Hazzan came to America with nothing - no family, no friends, no money and no idea of what it is like to live in America. Within five years, he earned a Yale MBA, a CPA license, rose to managerial position with the Mergers and Acquisitions Advisory Group of a global firm on Wall Street and then moved on to start a fast growing diversified holding corporation with interests in major industries. This book will therefore be invaluable in the rebuilding of individuals, families, businesses and our nation after the inhuman attacks of September 11, given its emphasize on wealth being a reward for serving others wholeheartedly. The practical insight on how to write your own check for any dream or vision you have will not only make you prosperous, but will also allow you the freedom to map out your own path to wealth without being tied to the whims and caprices of others. And beyond the previous treatises on wealth building, this book also gave insights into how the wealth could be protected by sharing it with others. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Everybody Alive Needs To Read This Book
I am an MBA and a successful business owner. RFGZ was a gift I received from a friend. I wish I read this five years ago before starting my business. Everything I ever knew about life, money and business was blown away by the principles and truth contained in this book.

Honestly, America, nations, people, companies, families, relationships etc can be built succesfully going forward by following the simple steps this gift from God has shared with us. I watched Seni's interview on Family Network with Chuck and Jenni: He is one of the most humble individuals I have ever seen, yet very astute.

Also, through Seni's story and the principles shared in this book, it is clear that any one could succeed anywhere in the world. But living in America increases the chances by more than 10,000% - Seni came from the poor African continent to go to Yale, Wall Street, became entrepreneur of the year etc in spite of everything that could have counted against him. That is what America is all about.

His story is the Century's "Only In America" thriller.

I have read think and grow rich. It has helped me. But don't make a mistake. Seni and Napoleon Hill are not in the same league - Seni is a Doer (he wrote and espoused what he had done from his own personal experience and it worked for him and others and me too!!!); Napoleon Hill was a reporter (he interviewed 500 successful people but he never demonstrated the workings of those principles through his personal life and bank account, though the principles work).

I stand to be challenged on this, I am sure I will win because time will tell: This book is going to be a perrenial and classic bestseller in the league of How to Make Friends and Influence People, Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, Think and Grow Rich, The Power of Positive Thinking and The magic of Thinking Big.

I recommend it to everyone alive, even if you are at the top of your game. If you are able to consciously sleep before you finish reading this book, you are either too complacent or you are not ready to improve your life, relationship, career or bank account. Because I know there will be one word or formular that will pay you multiples of the cost of the book. Exactly that happened to me.

5-0 out of 5 stars Life Changing
Seni's book is a must read for anyone interested in changing their lives, Wonderful piece of literature a must read for anyone looking to learn the secrets of life.

5-0 out of 5 stars Outstanding Read
This is a book for Enron Management to read. It will help them to understand that wealth is a reward for serving and not for stealing from their shareholders and employees. Good insight for pursuing entrepreneurial ventures. A must read for someone also trying to understand his purpose in life.

4-0 out of 5 stars Starting Over
Imagine the devastation you feel from losing your job. With unemployment upon you, there are so many questions floating around inside your head; how will you pay your bills and how will you eat? The whole experience becomes overwhelming as you struggle to remain positive. In trying to start over, one must start from ground zero, which is basically a person's lowest point. And it takes a strong individual to overcome the obstacles that are thrown in their way and rise to the top.

Author Seni Hazzan is all about helping others overcome financial issues and unhappiness with job situations. His book, REBUILDING FROM GROUND ZERO: AN EMPOWERING GUIDE TO BUILDING AND SECURING WEALTH, gives readers step by step advice on how they can gain financial stability and independence. It is also a good source for small business owners as it documents in detail mistakes the author overcame to become a successful entrepreneur.

This is an inspiring book because Mr. Hazzan uses his knowledge to help others who are starting a business or those who are looking to improve themselves financially. I recommend this book.

5-0 out of 5 stars An Outstanding Work From A sincere Heart
This guy is an amazing writer. He made wealth-building a simple, clear, and attainable goal for everyone. What I found unique about this book is the sincerity with which Seni demonstrated that Wealth Is A Reward for serving others. His personal story, the examples and the suggestions for building wealth from the scratch is phenomenon. His warning on avoiding overnight riches and building wealth just for the dough shows the kind of heart he has. He surprised me when he declared that America has been good to him and he will give part of the proceeds from the book to help others. I felt that was one of the greatest demonstration of generosity especially during this hard time. I will be surprized if the book does not become an all-round bestseller. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT INFORMATIVE BOOK........
Great book with over 100 ideas on earning extra income. This book offers great information on marketing, advertising, crafts, publishing, and many useful ideas for stay home moms. this book is well written and easy to follow. I graduated from High school last year. I go to college part-time, have my own place, a full-time job and thanks to the knowledge I gained from this book, I now have a part-time job, putting in my own hours whenever I can. This may not be the best book ever written, but it sure helped me out.... I recommend it highly, especially for young women just coming in to the work field.....

1-0 out of 5 stars Not impressed
I really think this book would have been good if we were in the 1930-1950. We are in the year 2000 and all the extra income opportunities stated in this book are outdated. The author should keep up with the century we are in. You can't expect women in the year 2000 to raise animals for a leaving, nor cook for extra money, don't we do this already. What ever happened to computers? This book was offensive to me as a women!!!!

The book also lists additional sources of information, ideas on finding clients, and sample pricing. I highly recommend this book to any woman that would like to supplement her family's income.

1-0 out of 5 stars Same old stuff
This book is no different than any other finance book I have read. Except this one is so poorly written and offers no constructive suggestions. The language is difficult for the beginner to understand, despite the author's claims that the book is suitable for beginners. I trashed mine after the first few chapters. I can't believe there are people who would publish this kind of .... It is shocking.

3-0 out of 5 stars Waxing Philosophical
Making Change advocates that women change the way that they think about money so that they take an active role in their financial life, starting at the earliest stage possible. The book is divided into life phases from dating to death and offers a "user friendly" approach. Chapters contain quizzes, mock interviews, and personal stories to keep the reader's interest. Most of all it offers a philosophy that women should follow in order to gain financial freedom. Godfrey calls her philosophy "Design it, do it." In other words, make a plan ahead of time for your kids' college tuition, your retirement, etc. Don't wait for your spouse or the fairy godmother to take care of it is Godfrey's point. The book lacks serious financial facts such as how you might short a stock and when to do it or the differences between adjustable rate mortgages and fixed rate mortgages. So don't turn to this for serious financial enlightenment but do turn to it for an inspirational non-threatening approach on how to get your financial house in order.

5-0 out of 5 stars This book has been the most helpful book I have ever read!

THIS IS TRUE THAT YOU PROVIDE DETAIL ABOUT MERCHANDISING ,AND I FOUND IT THE BEST ONE IN THE WORLD OF LIBRARY

3-0 out of 5 stars Good merchandising info, math not too helpful
As a newcomer to merchandising, I found this book's explanations of key terminology and tips on merchandise planning to be very helpful. The math, however, was entirely too simplistic to be of much use. This book contains an entire chapter on how to use a calculator. If you're looking for a good general overview of the field, this is a good book. But anyone with an elementary education should already know the math.

5-0 out of 5 stars So easy to follow!
I am taking a retail math class in college and using this book. I always hated math, and never did well in high school. The lessons will also focus on file management and work group considerations. Each of the four remaining lessons deals with the integration of a particular application with the other applications in Office.

The second section will contain a simulation that runs for four weeks. The simulation will require that students work in groups and play a role in a fictional company. Students will work with source documents and integrate data in all Office applications. 5-0 out of 5 stars know where to stand
This notebook is awesome, it shows you exactly where you stand when it comes you your bills. You can follow your spending patterns and know when your payments are due monthly, avoid any chance of being late on your payments due to non-receipt of statemnts..this book has a column to write the due date, min payment due, amount paid, date paid, check # used, previous and new balance and total amount paid..since I pay my bills online and don't use a check # I use that column to total the amount of finance charges each month..this is a really good notebook and I strongly recommend it.

I have been using the bill-paying reminder system for a few months now, and I must report that I do find it useful. It is handy to have all the balances showing, month after month, so I can see the balances going down, or, God help me, going up! This makes me more aware of what I am spending, and the fact that I want all those balances to go down! I am no longer able to let myself ignore what I am doing financially. I have also noticed that one account was not crediting my payments properly.

So, I am Definitely finding this item worthwhile.

However, I stand behing my remarks that a more professional appearance and a rewrite of the instructions would help(...)

It IS a good product, and it COULD be better.

That's it!

Good luck Mr. Jackson.
