5-0 out of 5 stars The end is near......
The battle for Earth is now open war. The Yeerks are blowing up everything in site. The public knows the truth of the horrific alien invasion - but it may be too late from anyone to stop it. A new Yeerk pool is being built in the ruins of the devastated city. Jake comes up with a plan to capture the Yeerk pool ship, but it's a dangerous plan - one that will almost surely have a high cost in lives. What the Animorphs don't expect is an offer to form an alliance - an offer that comes from the Taxxons. The Taxxons are desperate to escape their never-ending hunger. They will help the Animorphs, in exchange for the morphing power. Meanwhile, the Yeerk whose host is Jake's brother Tom is planning to betray Visser One - and offers the Animorphs a deal of his own. But can the cannibalistic Taxxons and a Yeerk be trusted? Only one book remains in the Animorphs series, and this was one of the best yet. Written by K. A. Applegate herself, instead of a ghost writer, the story moves at a fast pace. The cliffhanger ending will leave you eager to read the final book in the series.

4-0 out of 5 stars A rollercoaster ride
I wouldn't call 'The Answer' one of the very best books in the Animorphs series, as it is only at its best the first time you read it. After that, some of the suspense is lowered. But it really blows you away. This is one of the few books I have not been able to put down. Jake's character changes completely, but it is a change that is needed to win the war against the Yeerks. One of my favourite parts in this book was when Jake talks to the Taxxons. I was really glad to see the return of Arbron, as he seemed to have been forgotten after The Andalite Chronicles. You must at least read the others in the ten part mini-series before you read this, but once you do it's a brilliant run-up, along with The Sacrifice, to the conclusion of this series. (The ending of this book is infuriating! I just wanted to grab The Beginning right away!) The end is near....

5-0 out of 5 stars The Answer
You guys are all smoking something. this book rocked! it was sad to read about the visser killing off james and the others, but jake had to do what was necessary to win. if james and the others hadnt sacrificed themselves then they all wouldve died anyway when the yeerks won the war. anyway, i think The Answer was a very good book. jake allying with Arbron and the other taxxons was a surprise, but a good one. it was awesome to read how jake's plan took effect. highly recommended.

I haven't read the book yet becuase I basically stop reading around 40 or something. So what's up with this James and his animorphs stuff? 5-0 out of 5 stars A thing writen by SHE-MAN
Hello Animorph fans. I read that K.A Applegate reads these kinda things.
This book is insane. i wouldn't say it's the best of the series, but definitely one of the best. It starts out when Rachel must go to a Yeerk ship, alone all alone, and she must kill Tom, so the morphing cube won't go into the evil of the Yeerks all throughout the universe. I don't know why Applegate chose Rachel, but my theory is at the end. As almost everyone knows, she dies fighting. So did Tom. Though I really don't understand why Jake sent her to kill Tom in the first place, cuz the cube went to the other Yeerks on the ship.
So Rachel dies, and the rest of the team capture the mother ship, where Visser 3/1 was. So lade lade la they save the world at last, and they become well known. Jake, Marco, and Cassie are heroes. Ax is a prince, and Tobias and Rachel are known as the forgotten animorphs.
So eveythings cool for some years, which Marco gives a brief and funny summary of what happened aferwards. Ax goes back to his home planet, bla bla bla. But something happens ( doesn't something always happen ) and Ax is missing, and the other Animorphs (except for Cassie) go in search for him with another Andalite. What if theres something more evil out there that control the Yeerks?
Anywayz thats about it. Theres a nice surprise at the ending too. My theory about Applegate choosing Rachel: Well in one of the books in the series, can't remember which one, they say: We don't know what will happen to Rachel when the war is over. So i think Applegate couldn't figure what to do about Rachel, ( No offense Applegate) so she made her die doing a brave thing.
That's all.

2-0 out of 5 stars sigh..KA could you please write more Animorphs?
I've read all of the animorphs books at least three times. They were/are my favorite series. I started reading them as a freshmen in high school, and still find myself re-reading them as a junior in college.
I expected the series to end as it did. Rachel was way too violent to remain alive, and Jake and Cassie's relationship had to end b/c of the blue box issue a couple books earlier. However, after the Visser trial (which reminded me of the war trials after WWII) the rest of the book basically stunk. I'm not taking about how everyone's lives were changed, especially Jake and Tobias's- (If their lives did not turn out as they did I would have been a bit angry because it would have been so unrealistic). I'm talking about how in the span of a few pages KA thrust us into a new situation and just left us hanging. I thought this was horribly arrogant of her! I mean, after readers have invested years of our time in her books and come to know and love each character-boom! that's it. and we're left with a feeling of "WHAT?" So pretty much because of that cruel trick KA played I hated this book. I was looking for closure not more confusion!
Honestly, KA if you'd consider continuing where you left off-I'd be a loyal reader for the next 60+ books.

4-0 out of 5 stars I can't believe it's over...
Like the reviewer above, I began this series many years ago when it came out. I was only in sixth grade and I fell in love with it instantly. I still love them and this book was great but...
So many loose ends, I mean the last part with the ramming of the ship? I need answers! And I can't believe that she did that to Tobias. He is in many ways like me and My favorite character. You should have given him happiness Applegate! Anyway, it's a great, if not very sad book and I will miss all the characters deeply. They were very real to me and companions, I only hope that one day she will answer the cliff hanger.

2-0 out of 5 stars this is about the movies, good story..but not the animorphs
I got this movie thinking oh my gosh it's really an animorphs movie.I had read all the books and loved them but when I got the movie it was totally different from the book.Almost everything was left out.for instance in the book when jake was turned into a controller the yeerk inside him turned into a tiger then his dog.in this he turned into a tiger and was caught by the other animorphs.also axe does many things that were not at all in the story and everything in the book did not happen at all.you can buy these but don't get your hopes up!!!!also they look nothing like they do in the cover and have completely different morphs

5-0 out of 5 stars Animorphs: the Beginning
I think that this concluding book of the series is great. It portrays emotions, friendship and kinship. This book is the best book I have ever read. The content is amazing. Although I have only read it once, I have remembered the content as clearly as when I have read it. Good Job, KA. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Cassie goes to Austrailia
In this book, Cassie gets stuck in the cargo hold of a plane going to Sydney and the Yeerks intercept the plane. Cassie morphs bird and flies out of the plane, and lands in the Austrailian Outback. Visser Three also goes to the Outback. Will Cassie survive, or will she fail? Will she ever get home? Read the book to find out!

5-0 out of 5 stars Original and worth a read
When Cassie boards the cargo hold of an aircraft at an airport during a battle with the Yeerks, she doesn't realise that it's about to take off- until it's too late. The Animorphs have been split up before and they've had to fight battles without one another. But this time's very different: not only is Cassie totally alone, but she's managed to find herself in Australia. In the rural Outback- and the other Animorphs and Ax don't even know she's there.

Cassie doesn't have any idea where she's going, or if she can even survive the rugged terrain. But she does know she has to get to a town or village and contact her family and friends. Because she just realized that there's someone else who is also new to the Outback. Visser Three.

5-0 out of 5 stars A different book
This book is great! Cassie goes to Australia in this book. It's different and fun.

4-0 out of 5 stars An Okey Book
This was a great book except most of it was just waiting on the plane. It has good structer to it. And was kept on the fact that Cassie was going to Assie and had no way out.I'm just like Cassie Love animals have a barn full of them myself. As I said a good book.

4-0 out of 5 stars Interesting Book
The great part about this book is hhow Miss Applegate creates three main characters and one by one shows each of their points of view. One from an Andilite, who is visiting with her partents to the planet. Another a Hork-Bajir seer, named Dak Hamee, who will one day lead his people to something he has yet to find out. And the last, a Yeerk named Esplin 9466, who is trying to invade the Hork-Bajir homeworld. I would recomend this book to young to teen readers who enjoy Sci-fi-ish books and who won't mind the switch of different main characters. I myself happen to like the Chronical books, I think they are more interesting than the short Animorphs chapter books. It would be nice if K.A. Applegate made the book a bit longer, just to see what happened after the Yeerks made the invasion.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Begining Of The Yeerk Invasion
The Hork Bajir Chronicles by KA Applegate is an awesome book! This story is about the hork bajir war before the earth invasion. The main characters are Aldrea (daughter of prince Seerow) Dak Hamee (a hork bajir seer) and Esplin 9466 (visser 3). The andalites are trying their best to stop the yeerks from infesting the hork bajir to use their bodies for shock troops.

I like this book because I enjoy animorphs books a lot and it is fun knowing the things that happen before the animorphs. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would rate this book like all other animorphs books a 10.

I think K.A Applegate wrote this book to make a good kids book with action and other things kids find interesting.

4-0 out of 5 stars Very Interesting
Dak Hamee, born into the Hork-Bajir tribe, is something special from the start. "Strange," says his mother. "A seer," says the Old One, Tila Fashat. "A seer is one who is born to show a new way. Many, many seasons pass, then our father, the Deep, and our mother, the Sky, say, 'Send a seer to the people. The people have need.' And so one is born who is different." When strange and different Dak meets Aldrea, the clever Andalite daughter of Prince Seerow, they learn together of the dangerous plot of the Yeerks, and of Esplin 9466, who will stop at nothing to build his empire. Learn more about Prince Seerow's Kindness, find out how Andalites kiss, and plumb the mysteries of the Deep in this suspense-filled story of good, evil, and interspecies love. (Ages 9 to 12)

4-0 out of 5 stars A pleasing book to read
This book is about the battle between the Hork Bajir and the Yeerks. A young Andalite female, Aldrea vows to fight the Yeerks by the side of the Hork Bajir seer, Dak Hamee. Her parents were killed in the fight and she rouse with more anger. But, because of Prince Alloran's deadly mistake, the Hork Bajir world fell to the Yeerks. You will also know about who actually is Visser Three. The prologue and epilogue are touching to read. This book is not a must read for Animorph fans since there are no animorphs in the book. The body is quite boring also. But it is still a good buy for extreme Animorph fans.

This book is narrated excellently.

4-0 out of 5 stars Well narrated and fun to read!!!
The Hork Bajir Chronicles is a varied and well explained story. This book is all about Aldrea(Andalite), Dak Hamee(Hork Bajir seer). The Yeerk war with the Hork Bajir is a bit boring. It is readable only for extreme Animorph fans. The prologue and epilogue are quite touching. This is definitely not a must read for Animorph fans, since the only person we know is Esplin 9466 who is now Visser Three.

It is not a bad buy though! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Ax and the Animorphs have a weapon, but might not be lucky.
"What's tasty, good for you, and only takes about sixty seconds to make? Oatmeal." If it's instant maple and ginger oatmeal, it's a weapon against the Yeerks. By the way, Yeerks are parasitic slugs that enter other living bodies through the ear canal, seep into the nooks and crannies in the brain, then take over the body and read its memories like a book.

So this oatmeal weapon sounds good right? But that's where your wrong. It might mean a trip to the Yeerk pool, a chance of running into Visser Three once again, and this time there might not be a way to get back to the surface. "The Animorphs and Ax have taken chances before and been very lucky. But this time their luck may be about to run out . . ."

3-0 out of 5 stars not the best
In this book the Animorphs and Ax find out that instant rasien cinnimon oatmeal will make a Yeerk free from Kandrona, but the Yeerk will go insane. The Yeerk will stay in the host's head, no needing Kandrona, but the host will be in control almost all of the time. So the animorphs morphs moles and dig into a bat cave, then morphs bats and go into the Yeerk pool. Read the book to find out what happens next!

5-0 out of 5 stars The Underground
Rachel, the other Animorphs, and Ax have discovered a new super weapon against the Yeerks. It's easy to get. It's lightweight. It's instant oatmeal. It doesn't actually destroy the aliens, but its effect on them is so powerful that the kids know they have to try to use it. To help slow down the invasion. It means another trip down to the Yeerk pool. And the possibility of not being able to get back up to the surface.

4-0 out of 5 stars Reader Over 25
Synapsis: This one starts off in traditional Animorphs fashion with a bang, as Rachel and the others morph into birds of prey to "attend" a Planet Hollywood opening from the air. While there, Rachel sees a man about to commit suicide by jumping from a window, and the Animorphs rush to a very messy rescue, which a very famous star gets the credit for. A link is formed in the plot with Rachel's lawyer mother, who is representing the family of the man who jumped. He claims to have an alien living inside of his head, and goes utterly insane at some moments, other times he's perfectly normal. The Animorphs break into the insane asylum (with plenty of amusing jokes along the way about the nuthouse) to speak to the man. He believes Rachel is an Andalite, and tells her of a very odd Yeerk addiction which frees them of Kadrona rays. The price, however, is that the Yeerk slug goes utterly mad from it, losing most of its control on the host body. Unfortunately, these hosts, although halfway in control, go through raving insane periods when the Yeerk takes over, making them look insane. The new secret weapon turns out to be instant ginger maple oatmeal, and the group decides to try and distribute it inside the Yeerk pool (see book #1: The Invasion for their first trip as well as how the series started, and terminology used here.) Mole morphs are used, but things don't go anything near what they'd planned. No spoilers for the end, but this is a good story. It's not one which is critical to the series, but enjoyable to read.

Now for the personal outlooks. This book gives a bit more development on Rachel's character, how she's almost self destructively reckless. However, as this one is from her point of view, we get to watch her plot things out from her own, unique eyes, which you can't get from the other members of the team. This, of course, is part of the charm of the series in general. Rachel is still very gung ho and direct, but she manages to come up with some very sophisticated ideas for rescuing her friends at the end. A good call on Visser Three also helps save the day.

The story itself is enjoyable, but this particular book lacks the "white knuckle" story telling of some of the others until the final battle. It relies more heavily on mood, Rachel's fear of enclosed places as she digs, nightmares, etc. than on direct action. Of course, this helps diversify the series as a whole, and keep it fresh. It also hasn't got a strong humor plot which makes it stand out. It is, simply, fun to read, but nothing which leaps to attention overall. Rachel fans will love it, in particular, obviously. This is also more of a "stalemate" between the Animorphs and the Yeerks, where they don't lose, yet don't win. Overall, that is very realistic, while keeping with the spirit of the Animorph series.

5-0 out of 5 stars Oatmeal???
What's easy to get,lightweight,and healthy?Oatmeal,and it's making the yeerks go crazy.Really.
Well,it all begins when Rachel sees a man about to jump out of a window of a skyscraper. She naturally goes and rescues him,and after that the trouble starts mounting...First Rachel's Mom is the attorney on his case when his family wants him commited when he starts talking about aliens that live in his head, called Yeerks...When the Animorhs investigate they learn the Yeerks have found a way to go without the Kandrona,The is oatmeal, well, only the Instant Maple-Ginger kind.the yeerk gets addicted to it,goes crazy, then it no longer needs kandrona rays. The good part is the Host can comunicate and is in control most of the time, the other time the Yeerk can break through, and it will stay in the host forever.........The Animrophs see an opportunity:Where can you find a ton of yeerks without hosts? The Yeerk Pool......... ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Marco's humor is missing, and KA gave him a depressing book?
The book is really sad, I must admit. Here we have two surviving Andalites from the great Dome ship battle at the start of the series, and one is dying and the other is being held hostage by Visser Three. The two are very best friends, like Ax and Tobias are, but the problem is that they are trying to avoid the Animorphs' help and that only causes problems. But what I want to know is why Marco has to tell the story. This is a little too heavy for his type of character, and there is very little humor in it. But I guess it's because he has just come off from the re-marriage of his father that KA thinks this is okay. It's excusable, though, but a little unnatural.

I don't feel that this book is among the worst of Applegate because it has nothing to do with the main goal of the series, but because the story is really touching and a little depressing that you have to like it. But I agree that KA should not forget about Mertil, the Andalite who will be alone when his friend dies, because she is adding so many branches into the series now it's going to be pointless for even putting them there is she isn't going to bring them back up in the future. Other than that, this book is good.

3-0 out of 5 stars Could be better
kaa has written better animorphs but this was not that bad. there could have been a little more action and gafinilan probably would have acted a little more proud and arrogant if this was ever to happen. I would recommend buying this book even though it is not the best animorphs written. this is an excellent series to collect if you are in to sci-fi books. this book actually should be 3 1/2 stars.

4-0 out of 5 stars Interesting...
In this book, the Animorphs discover other Andalites on earth. One is a vecol (an Andalite with his/her tailblade cut off) and has been captured by the Yeerks. The other has a desiese, so Visser Three doesn't infest them, but he wants in return for returning the vecol, to give him one of the "Andalite Bandits" so he can make another Andalite-Controller. The Animorphs and the Andalite thats not captured go to try to rescue the vecol. Will the Animorphs suceed, or will they fail? Read the book to find out!

5-0 out of 5 stars A very excellent read
I have been reading the Animorphs series for about four years now, and the writing has started to get a bit boring and mundane (I think it's the ghostwriters). However, this book was, by far, like a red rose shining out of a winter garden. It has been a long time since I enjoyed a book like this one. I can agree with the fact that K.A. cannot let Mertil hanging. She added him to the books, and now the readers want to find out his fate. He, along with Arbron, Melissa Chapman, and Aftran, should play a larger part in the final battle. If any of the Animorphs books should be picked up and read again, this is definately one of them.

4-0 out of 5 stars It wasn't the best...
This definitely wasn't the best Animorphs book done by Marco. Or anyone, for that matter. It was a little bit interesting, and vaguely humorous at times, but it wasn't as good as it could have been, and definitely not as good as #45-50 have been. ... Read more

Aximili, the brother of Prince Elfangor is an andalite (a morphing alien that looks like a deer, human and scorpion), was discovered by the animorphs (five kids that are the only humans that can use the power to turn into any animal they touch)at the bottom of the sea. Since then he has worked side-by-side with them. But there are certain things he cannot explain. It would be breaking andalite law. Yet there is a law he has not fufilled: to kill Visser Three, the only yeerk to infest an andalite and the murderer of his brother. But since the animorphs know he's been keeping secrets from them, it seems like he has to go it alone. This is the first Aimorphs book to be narrated completely by Ax and is the funniest one.

5-0 out of 5 stars 4 HOOVES UP! (LOTS OF FINGERS, TOO!)
I think that anyone who has ever wanted to know more about Andalites should DEFINITELY read this book!! It answers many questions about Andalites and Yeerks, like: 1.How Andalites eat without a mouth, 2.Why Ax plays with sounds, 3. Why Andalites must fight the Yeerks, 4.When and why the Yeerks start to lose it because of events in #7 The Stranger, and more! In conclusion, I'm saying if you liked the other Animorphs books, you'll absolutely LOVE this one!

5-0 out of 5 stars An Very good book
This book is very good, he makes contact with the Andalite home world and he *almost* kills Visser Three

5-0 out of 5 stars Reader over 25
As always, I'm obviously way over the target age group. I'm taking the time to review each Animorphs book as I reread the entire series. My hope is to give parents, teachers, and anyone else the point of view of an adult who's outside the usual reading age for the series. Other reviewers have already given the overall plot, so I'm here with a few other thoughts. As other reviewers have commented, this book is very much about choices, and has a large dose of good humor involved. This is the first of the series which doesn't have heart pounding action and battles throughout the story, yet it remains just as entertaining. Ax is very amusing, and the story imaginative, giving readers a peek into Andalite culture and their people. Ax's race is one which holds rituals which are much different than our own, and honor is held in very high regard. It's a story about a young boy who is far, far away from his home, with his culture's heavy burdens which he must bear. The choices are huge to him, because someone once broke a law they now call Seerow's Kindness, and released a chain reaction which has made billions suffer for it. Should he, then, break that same law, even if he thinks its for the best -- even vital to the Animorphs winning the war? If he does, what repercussions will it have, because he ultimately doesn't understand who he's dealing with? The humans are as alien to him as Ax is to them. In an accident, he reprograms software for Marco's father. Ax thought it was nothing but a child's game to find all the errors, and fixed them in a few minutes. Not realizing what he did, he hands the ability for Zero Space travel to humanity. What if the Yeerks find out, for surely they will know it was an Andalite and not a human? In undoing that, he could also use it to call his parents, so far away. The book is about loneliness, too, in a way that everyone can relate to in some way. True to Animorphs style, however, its told through a young alien to make it new and interesting. There is also friendship, trust of utter outsiders on both sides, dealing with fears both huge (when Ax has to face Visser Three and doubts he'll survive) or small. Ax has to decide if he'll use the technology to call his people, another decision which goes against everything he'd been taught about Seerow's Kindness and his people's laws. There's laughter in this, a good story, and a whole lot more as the reader learns about Andalites first hand, and for the first time. A very excellent read and addition to the series.

5-0 out of 5 stars This book is the best I've read in a long time.
In The Vistor Rachel is the narator. She tells about her adventures as an Animorph. In the first Chapter or so everything is kinda slow (I don't want to say boring but). After that everything really gets action packed. They want to spy on Mr.Chapman (the assistant principal at the school all the Animorphs go to except Tobias who got stuck in a morph as a hawk because he stayed in morph for too long). They know that Chapman is a big part in the Yeerks plan to take over the world. Chapman has a daughter named Melissa. She has a cat named Fluffer Mckitty. To get into Chapmans house Rachel has to become Fluffer. It is hard to catch Fluffer because he is a tomcat (A male cat). When they find him he gets scared and runs up a tree. To get Fluffer down Rachel has to become a shrew. Finally they get Fluffer down. After they acquire Fluffer's DNA.The next night they all went to Chapmans house. Rachel was the last one to arrive. She was already Fluffer. There was a kitty door going into the Chapman's house. When Rachel gets to the living room, Chapman is just sitting there. He walks to the basement and Rachel follows. Chapman turns on a machine and a Hologram of Visser Three appears. Visser Three is the Yeerk King. Chapman doesn't mind that the cat is there. When Visser Three notices the cat, he tells Chapman to kill it because it could be an Andalite Warrior. Rachel returns to visit Chapman again while he is talking to Visser Three. Rachel tries to hide, but Chapman finds her and catches her. He takes her to a construction site that is unfinished. Visser Three comes down in person. He puts Rachel in one of the space ships. Will this be the end of Rachel? I guess you will have to read the book to find out what happens next

5-0 out of 5 stars Cool!
The Vistitor is REALLY COOL!I love the books about Rachel and Tobias! So,this is the story....

Rachel used to be best friends with Melissa Chapman, but that was before the Yeerks, before the Andalite, and before the power to morph... Now Rachel seems to notice a chage in Melissa,She's not herself.Jake and the other Animorphs think they should spy on Melissa and her father,Principal Chapman,a known Controller. They only have one problem:How can they get inside the house?Rachel soon discovers the ideal morph:Melissa's cat,Fluffer Mckitty.Well inside the house Rachel makes some surprising discoveries, like why Chapman became a Controller, and other things..........

This is a Fabulous book!!!!!If you like the animorph books you need to read this!!!!

3-0 out of 5 stars Nine lives are better than one...
Rachel is beginning to notice something strange about her old friend, Melissa. And that's bad because Melissa is the daughter of Principal Chapman who has been invaded by a Yeerk. So Rachel comes up with the perfect plan. Morph into Melissa's cat, Fluffer McKitty, to spy on what's going on. But the plan starts to go bad when Principal Chapman discovers that Rachel isn't really Fluffer McKitty. Will this be the end for Rachel?

I love the Animorphs books, but I just wasn't feeling this one. It seemed like a good one, although it just ended up being an average one. I really couldn't figure out what to feel about this book. Some parts were funny, some parts tried to be funny, but weren't, and some parts were sad. So overall, this was just an okay Animorphs book but far from one of the best.

4-0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Addition!
Along the same vein of the debut of this series, this addition adds the same humor and action as its predecessor. I particularly enjoyed this book because we finally are given the opportunity to see one of the characters a little bit closer, and Rachel is an interesting one. Although she follows the typical, beauty queen-warrior archetype, she's nonetheless likable. The plot in this story is something we can all relate to: How do you help a friend when doing so might hurt them even more? Definitely check this one out.

5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT BOOK!!!!!!!!!
This is one of the best animorphs books. You see, Rachel morphs into a cat and checks out Chapmans house. Everyone should read this book! ... Read more

We can't tell you who we are. Or where we live. It's too risky, and we've got to be careful. Really careful. So we don't trust anyone. Because if they find us...well, we just won't let them find us. The thing you should know is that everyone is in really big trouble. Yeah. Even you. There's a massive outdoor concert coming to town. Offspring. Alanis. Nine Inch Nails. Marco refuses to miss it. He even has a great idea for getting in, uh, free: He and Jake will morph dogs. Marco thinks it's a perfect set up (especially since girls LOVE cute dogs). And even though Jake doesn't agree at first, he finally decides that if Marco goes to the show someone should be around to watch him. Right? ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars The YEERKS are here
This is a great book to start off this great series. The Invasion starts of the animorphs series and is one of the best. Jake, Rachel, Tobias, Cassie and Marco are normal kids heading for home. Then they decide to take a shortcut through the abandoned construction site. Suddenly, a space ship lands right in front of them. Out comes an injured andalite (which is an cross between a human, scorpion and a deer). He explains that the yeerks, a band of paristic aliens have come to Earth. They have turned some people into "controllers" by going inside their heads and enslaving them. The kids have to stop them. The andalite gives them the power to morph, which is the ability to turn into any animal they touch. Then a yeerk ship comes. Out pops Visser Three, the only yeerk able to control an andalite. He morphs into a horrible creature and EATS Elfangor (that's the andalite's name). The kids escape and think over these horrible events. Most of them are reluctant except for Tobias. But then they all fight together. It all ends in a fight on the yeerks' feeding ground. Find out what happens to Tobias who loses the battle in a way you can't imagine.

3-0 out of 5 stars Animorphs: The Invasion
Author: Katherine A. Applegate
Summary: Five kids are walking home from the mall one night when an alien spaceship comes down to them. In the spaceship is an alien called an Andantilite. The Andantilite comes down to the kids and tells them that another group of alien's had already invaded earth, the alien that had already invaded the earth, were small enough that they crawl through the humans ear and start to control them, they are then called human-controllers. He also told them that all throughout the universe there are other species of animals, and aliens that are also being controlled. The Andandtilite then gave the kids power to morph, morph into animals, thus the name Animorphs. These five kids will have save the world from these controllers, by using the power to morph and use the special features that each one of their animals has. They will have to learn to overcome the mind of the animal from overtaking their mind and to learn as much as possible about these controllers
Recommendation: I would recommend this book to kids in 5th or 6th grade, a boy or a girl and/ or kids that enjoy reading SciFI and kids that enjoy books that have a lot of suspense, and action like this book does.

4-0 out of 5 stars Some people never change. Some do...
Jake, Rachel, Cassie, Tobias, and Marco were all just average friends and teens. But all of that changed when they met an Andalite, a strange creature not from Earth. Now, the Andalite has given the teens a power--the power to turn into animals. But the kids must use this power to destroy Yeerks, creatures who take over human's minds and plan to take over the entire human race. The teens, now called Animorphs, soon discover that using their powers to save the world sounds easier than it actually is.

When I first started reading this book, I thought it would be really weird. It didn't seem like the kind of book that I would like. But I was wrong. It was really interesting. Anybody could be hooked on this series, as it has science fiction, humor, horror, a little fantasy, drama, and a wee bit of romance. When you finish this book, it'll start to make you think about trusting the people you love. But don't let that stop you from reading the rest of the books in the series!

5-0 out of 5 stars And so starts 66 reviews....
The Animorphs series is actually just 65 books, but there was one parody made, so i'll include that. Anyway, the Animporh series spans 54 'regular' books, 4 Megamorphs, 1 "meet the cast of animorphs" book, 2 "Alternamorphs" books, 5 'Chronicals" books, and one parody. Each book is told from the perspective of one of six people: Jake, Rachel, Tobias, Marco, Cassie, and Ax. This book focuses on Jake, and is the start of the series. Nearly each book starts the same, "My name is ______. Just ______." Anyway, this book tells about how Jake and the crew (minus Ax, we don't know about him until the 6th book) gained the power to morph from a dying alien. He warned them of an enemy, Yeerks, which are parasitic aliens that crawl in through your ear and controll your brain. The power to morph allows them to become animals. However, they cannot stay in a morph for more than 2 hours or they will be stuck in that morph forever!

5-0 out of 5 stars The Animorphs
Katherine A. Applegate writes a cool story about aliens.
Though short, this book is very good.
For the next 20, maybe 30 books in this series, it stays good. Unfortunately, it goes on until book 52, and it is not very good for those last 22 books.
But once you start it, you want to know what happens in the end.
And because you want to hear more about
Marco, the funny one;
Jake, the leader;
Cassie, the animal lover;
Rachel, the reckless one;
Tobias, the 'bird-boy';
and Axe, the alien who joins them.
Not to mention all the other aliens that are really neat - the Andalite's, the Yerks, the Hork-Bajir, and everything else. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars THIS BOOK WAS GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love all the animorphs books. But this book has to be one of my favorites. The author (K.A.Applegate) really knows how to tell stories about what kids go through. A lot of books you read has stuff about kids ackting really nice and saying yes sir and no sir. But in Animorphs K.A. writes about how kids really act.Now about Megamorphs one.I think this story is for kids who like people who are funny(Marco) brave(Racheal) leaders(Jake)and downright strange(Ax)and who cares about animals and really loves animals(Cassie) So I recomend this book because you can't put it down every page your thinking and what happens next. But don't stop here read all of the Animorphs series.

5-0 out of 5 stars A GREAT BOOK!
This book is like six Animorphs books rolled into one, 'cos it's from the viewpoint of all of them.

The main plot is that Visser Three's discovered something - a Veleek from Saturn. It homes in on morph energy and captures whoever is morphing. So, the Animorphs are safe if they don't morph - but morphing is their only weapon . . .

There are also sub-plots for each character:

CASSIE tries to get over being a "coward" when she lets the Veleek take Marco. RACHEL has to deal with losing her memory. AX has to deal with his shame over not killing Visser Three. JAKE tries to keep up-to-date and look after all of the Animorphs at once. TOBIAS has to control his anger at having slept through most of the story. MARCO has to try and take things seriously (for once).

This book is very good, although sometimes it's confusing reading one chapter about what happened to Ax, and then reading the next chapter about Marco that starts halfway through Ax's chapter, followed by Rachel's chapter that starts before either Marco or Ax's chapter . . . see what I mean? Pretty good read.

4-0 out of 5 stars This book is an extremely awsome book
Young science fiction lovers will run to the bookshelves to get a copy of Animorphs: the Andalite's Gift by K.A. Applegate. The setting you will encounter in this book is mostly the forest. Every book has exiting characters but not as exiting as the characters in this book. They are Jake, Cassie, Rachel, Tobias, Ax, Marco, and Visser Three. There is major conflict in this book. It is between the Animorphs and Visser Three's Yeerks, which are slugs that can control your brain.
This book is a MUST READ book because when I read it I was addicted to it. It is extremely interesting. The book puts pictures in your head. It also makes you think it's real. If you watched the TV show and still didn't understand it the book will help. If you still don't know if you're going to read it you should read the back and take my word for it!
The author of this book seems very creative. The author is female and writes kids' books. One interesting fact is that you don't know if one book leads to another one. You should really check out this book and check out some other Animorphs books.

5-0 out of 5 stars Reader over 25
As always, I'm here with another viewpoint if someone like parents, teachers, etc. might be curious about an adult's point of view on the series. Megamorphs is the first of the series which steers away from the threads of something a little deeper which have been in all the other books to date (growing up, friendship, family, etc.) However, I still give this book the highest possible rating for other reasons. It's the longest one of the series up to this point, and Applegate kept her story together with a smooth, exciting flow which keeps the reader guessing. I was in my early twenties, and have read everything from Tolstoy and Dickens to Peanuts and Garfield. I figured it out, eventually, on the first read, but I wasn't all that far ahead of Ax when it was revealed by the plot itself. Rachel has to deal with a memory loss, Cassie with thinking she's a coward, Jake with keeping them together, and all of them with this dust beast which seems intent on destroying or capturing them. Marco's wit, as always gives a great laugh. The plot is creative, well thought out, and not too far out in left field (even for its target age group) for a sci-fi book to make it totally unbelievable. All in all, this is a very good read for a high action, mysterious, entertaining, and cohesive story for the target age. It can certainly be enjoyable for ages many years beyond 12, as well.

5-0 out of 5 stars An adventurous and very funny book
Megamorphs are always fun to read. Visser Three tries to capture the "Andalite Bandits"(Animorphs)by using a creature from Saturn that gets attracted to morphing power. This disastrous thing causes the seperation of the Animorphs in different places. They try to get back together, but Rachel loses her memory and Ax gets captured. The other Animorphs don't know where these two are. The final show down with the monster is exciting. Marco's jokes are all very funny in this book. It is definitely a must read!!!! ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Animorphs #37: The Weakness
When I read The Weakness, I was in a good mood and happened to have liked the action and recklessness portrayed by Rachel in the book. Morphing cheetahs was very well described ; this was the falsgship of the book. But it still could have been worse. And while we see that Rachel is pure anger and recklessness, we see that from time to time one of the Animorph characters breaks through. It is not one of the best of the series, and it is not well written either. But at certain points of the

book you feel the beauty of what it's like to be a cheetah, roaming through savannah and running beside the enemy to catch him. However this part is in the beginning, making the main plot go to waste in the second and third chapter. But while it's there it's still vivid in your mind. I was looking forward to this book and was a little disappointed in Animorphs #37 ; but it could have been worse, and it is still worth buying. The cover itself is a masterpiece. So if you want action, I recommend this book, but if you want suspense, read the next few books. Books like #38 The Arrival and #39 The Hidden really had you going to find out what happens ; a book like #37 The Weakness isn't like that, but the book itself is meaningful in one lesson : the value of trust. In order to be a team you need to be able to trust your teammates, and while Rachel made several mistakes taking Jake's place as leader, she learned what trust was and that being the leader isn't just guts and glory. It's about making decisions that mean the difference between life...and death.

4-0 out of 5 stars Applegate's work is getting too predictable....
Of course her fans are going to know that Applegate is slumping in her latest books, and it seems like she likes it. #37 wasn't the best, but I do commend it on what it's finally done. It's finally answered the question to who should be able to lead the team if the leader is out. Everyone thinks it should be Rachel, seeing how she is Jake's cousin and is super-spontaneous. But she has no leadership skills, and because of that the readers are forced to listen to the constant nagging between her and Marco, which in here is not as funny as before.

But that is the only reason why I didn't give it the highest score. The Weakness introduces a fast new host species for the Yeerks, and the Animorphs go on a little terrorist trip with a lot of jokes mixed in. Although the ending is the worst part of the book, the rest of it is okay and Applegate's fans are able to take it in without rejecting it like several of its previous predecesors can do.

5-0 out of 5 stars Cool!
This book was really action packed! I loved it!

1-0 out of 5 stars The break
This was a very bad book and I was surprised when I read it.K.A. Applegate is a very good writer, but I guess she took a break from good books and tried a new kind.

2-0 out of 5 stars 'The Weakness' in the Animorphs series
Unlike most people who have reviewed this book, I don't think Animorphs is getting worse. But this book was definetly bad. It was just the same old thing over and over again, action, action who cares? It did have a few good parts though. The ending was good and a big improvement on the rest of the book. It also showed you what happens when Rachel gets out of control, but didn't we already see that in #32? One thing I did like about this book was the cover. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Cassie's Big Departure
Well from the frist day, things were strange. But, for Cassie, the longer she was an Animorph, the more things started bugging her. Her grades got lower she was constantly lying to her parents and she was killing not only the enemy but the enemy's helpless slaves. Things didn't sit well with her. The only thing to do now was quit. But on her first day of not being an Animorph she still had problems, the enemy found her and they were now stuck in the woods. The only way for Cassie to save her friends now was to stay in woods for three day with the enemy or kill the enemy. The Departure was the best Cassie book I ever read. I don't even like Cassie. This was due to the fact that the real action began early in the book. Normaly books like that are real boring in the end, but KA kept the consistancy of the excitment and suspence the same level through out the whole book. It was more than just the suspence and excitment that kept me reading, it wa! ! s the setting I could see the woods all so clear and I could see the rivers and the fire and most of all the wildlife start to grow swiftly through my walls. I truly enjoyed the way that KA use the book HATCHET not only in mear text but in the story its self. She compared it to this story to make the more alike. This story also has a flaw. One controler uses the thought-speech brackets as his voice. Other than that this book is a marvel. I love the discriptive writing KA has been noted for, but moreover, the continuous action and suspence. I would suggest this for you to read under any circumstance as long as you also read HATCHET.

5-0 out of 5 stars New Animorph & book 19
First of all, the Controller Cassie gets lost with is a girl. And the new Animorph is HUMAN, A MALE, AND EVIL. K.A. Applegate said this herself. Secondly, I doubt Cassie will quit for good, but I can't wait to see what she does to the Controller. Hey, maybe she'll just keep locked up somewhere for 3 days or until the Yeerk in her head dies...wait that wouldn't work because she'll remember Cassie's secret and if she's captured by the Yeerks again the Yeerk in her brain will know about the Animorphs. Sadly, the only way I see to keep the Animorphs' secret is to kill the Karen, the Controller. Anyway, this book sounds really good. When I get it, I'll make sure to post a review here.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Departure
Cassie is tired of the missions. She's tired of the secrecy. She's tired of being an Animorph. So she quits. But the fight is far from over. A human-controller has discovered Cassie's secret.

5-0 out of 5 stars Reader Over 25
Synapsis: Cassie decides she's had enough of the war with the Yeerks and with the Animorphs, so she quits the team. She's lost the capacity to feel anything, love, hate, even fear, as it blurs into a kind of emotionless nothing within her. Unable to cope with the lies to her parents, the stress, and the inhumanities of war, she tries to leave it all behind. To make matters worse, her parents are going to lose the animal rehabilitation center which they run. Yet, even that, she finds herself unable to care about as much about it as she knows she should. Unfortunately (or fortunately for the fans of the series), things don't go anything near what Cassie plans, and she finds she has someone watching her. The watcher is revealed to be a little girl, who Cassie rescues from a bear, then finds herself swept into a river, washed into the heart of a forest. Without any idea of which way to go, against the elements, and the very real threats of dying of exposure, Cassie would normally morph and fly to civilization. To complicate things, however, the little girl is with her. It's easily discovered the child is a Controller, and the Yeerk inside her mind wants to learn everything about Cassie. Throughout revealing herself to the Yeerk, yet survive, Cassie is forced into some tough problems which have nothing to do with battle. There's also an added problem in an escaped leopard who is determined to make an easy meal out of the wounded Controller or Cassie.

This is one of the more thought provoking books of the series, and isn't focused on the battles as others have been in the series. We get a look at the Yeerk race as never before, that not all of them are the evil, cowardly creatures like Visser Three. Although not precisely nice beings, it presents concepts such as a parasites view on its right to live, expand, and experience the world of sight and colors as opposed to blindness. This is the first book of the series which introduces the idea of the Yeerk resistance members.

As for my personal opinions of the book, I'd have to say that in thinking about the entire series, this is probably my favorite book. I don't have a favorite character, because each one is great in his or her own way. There's enjoyment for me reading about each one for many different reasons. Cassie, however, has always been more or less the keeper of the morals of the group. She's always had a feeling for people's feelings, and been relied upon to help judge the right from the wrong. For her to suddenly lose her ability to care is like the character losing her own soul. From the other reviews I've seen by fans, I don't get the impression Cassie is as popular as Rachel and Tobias, but I see her as very much a critical part of the team. Without Cassie to help counterbalance Rachel, even "Xena, Warrior Princess" could easily go running headlong into decisions she'd regret later. Rachel is the group's courage, directness, and shares a bit of ruthlessness with Marco (all critical elements.) Cassie, however, helps keep the scales balanced, and never has such an in depth look been given to her character as this story. We see her make a tremendous sacrifice, and all of it, in her mind, to do nothing but make a small amount of peace between one Yeerk, one human/Animorph, and free a solitary little girl from being a Controller. In finding that one, small, fragment of peace, she's also able to make peace with herself and find where she belongs in the war. There are no easy, pat answers for her. She does, however, find a place for someone who regaurs all life as sacred -- yet is in the middle of a war to save the human race.

We also see what life is like for some of the Yeerks, some of which are equally tired of the war. Like any war, there's more than one side, and much like a common German soldier in comparison to Hitler in WWII, there's no utter black or white when you look at the big picture. This gives the series even more depth and realism overall.

The imagry of the forest is very well done in this story, as well. In the earlier Megamorphs: Time of the Dinosaurs, we were shown a world which was nearly impossible to survive in. However, that was largely due to the fact the humans went from the height of the food chain to the very bottom. In this novel, its a very mundane and normal forest which provides most of the opposition against the little girl with the twisted ankle who Cassie is trying to get back to civilization for the sake of the host ... or perhaps the Yeerk and the host... or even more possibly for herself. Cassie knows the best thing to do would be to kill the Yeerk with Kadrona starvation, or even kill host and Yeerk together. In her heart, however, she knows the "best" thing is not the right thing. This prompts long nights trapped in the wilderness which Applegate brings to life in a very vivid way for such a short work.

I found the book itself was also the typical fast paced read, although it didn't focus on fights, battles, or humor. The author moved her plot along well with a sprinkling of action here and there, keeping me interested with facts about the Yeerks or other tension which didn't have to do with physical confrontation. Highly recommended.

5-0 out of 5 stars The best Animorph book ever!
This book realy made me think .I thought yeerks where mainly evil with a few good ones.sadly,I read #29 first so I had no idea who they where talking abount. When I saw it here and saw all those reveiws I was dying to read it.When I fanily did I thought Marco was nuts.He said in #20 that he did not realy trust her. That he probibly changed his mind when Cassie saved his butt in #21.Cassie is sensitive and that is why people don't like her but If the world was full of Rachles I would be scared to death because I HATE shopping. .... ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Tobias's Torture Revisited
Tobias is one character I always look forward to reading about. He has a lot of deepish issues to write about. He was certainly a deep thinker when he was a regular human walking around; but now he is truly deep. I think his character has probabley changed and evolved more than any other Animorph character.

Fairly early in the series, Tobias had to deal with his feelings of catching his live meals. Remember his humiliation in being caught eating road kill? I thought that was very well dealt with. Remember when he was in human morph as his past self and was facing the Visser? He had been a hawk for so long he forgot to let his face show regular human emotions. So he was looking at the Visser with a total poker face, which wound up saving his life. Who would have thought of such a thing? It is these things, as well as his deepening relationship with Rachel, which make him the fascinating character he is today.

The Animorph series continues to grow and change as a series. We get to see past enemies again. In this book, the Animorphs have to battle the chick who tortured Tobias before. I thought the torture he had to go through was very well described. Tobias's flashbacks had me gritting my teeth and feeling his pain. Imagine his horror at being in her evil clutches all over again and totally dreading the torture which was to come for him just because he tried to do a good deed and save a little boy.

What I would like to see is the storyline with Jake and Tom and Marcus revisited and changed around a bit. Can Tom and Marcus's mother ever be saved from what has happened to them? If they were saved, could the be double agents or work with the Animorphs in the future in some sort of sideline way? Or would that be too much of a departure from what has already been set up? Just some thoughts.

5-0 out of 5 stars One to read
I think Tobias' character really developed in this book. Each Tobias book sees new changes for him and this was a big one. The Animorphs co-operate with Taylor, the Controller who tortured Tobias in #33 for this one. Seeing Taylor again brings up all sorts of memories of his torture and questions in Tobias' mind. He keeps thinking back to when he first became a nothlit, wondering if he actually gave up and chose to be trapped in hawk morph. ( This was one of my favourite parts of the book as I always wanted to know what happened to Tobias when he was first trapped.)What happens to Taylor in the end was definetely deserved, but, as in the case of Visser One, I think she will be back. The ending I thought was very powerful and a great ending line from Rachel. This definetly ranks in my best Animorphs books, not quite up there with #3,#31 and #33, my all-time favourites but close. Tobias is my favourite character and I always enjoy his books. Though only a book to read after you've read some of the other Animorphs and seen the slow devlopment of the characters through time.

2-0 out of 5 stars skip it
In this book, Tobias and Ax morph taxxons to put natrul gas in the Yeerk pool. Taylor, a Controller says she's part of the Peace Movment and she comes up w/ the idea. It's really boring. Normaly Tobias books are good, but this one is horrible.

2-0 out of 5 stars On a par with 30 and 31...
What can I say? This book should never really have been written. All it does is rehash the events of #33, keeping the uncharacteristic elements of Tobias and leaving out any originality or furthering of either plot or character. This is a 'filler' book, just like the aforesaid #30 and #31: nothing has changed by the end. The two stars, by the way, are for Tobias who remains my favourite character...but for how long, if his books end up like this?

5-0 out of 5 stars #47: THE FUTURE OF THE HUMAN RACE IS ABOUT TO UNFOLD....
Ten books ago an Animorphs book had the title of "The Weakness", for it truly was the weakness of the Animorphs series.Ten books later,"The Resistance"- is the exact opposite. Jake's under tremendous pressure once again- but it's not like in The Conspiracy or The Mutation where he was just irrational. Toby and her Hork Bajir people want to stay and fight the Yeerks. Why ? The Yeerks have discovered their secret valley. There's more plot in this book, though.Jake receives an old and distant diary belonging to his grandfather. It contains lessons and morals he'd learned in the Civil War.Ultimately, though I won't say why,it will connect with all that is going on...

This is probably the best regular Animorphs book in the series so far because I loved the emotion and drama of the book. It's by far my favorite.Get ready for The Resistance...the future of the human race is about to unfold

4-0 out of 5 stars a book worthy of reading
I find, The Resistance ,a very good addition to the on-going animorphs series.Applegate did a good job of continuing the storie's plot ,yet making the book more than one of those "in the middle books"that just give you information for the next book instead of telling a story. This book significantly showed the animorphs continuing struggle to save earth and the choices they will soon have to make. The way that the author worked the old cival war diary into the book to show Jake's emotions made the book more interesting. If you enjoy the animorphs series this is a must read.I think this to be the best book Applegate has written in this series in a while.

3-0 out of 5 stars OK
In this book the Yeerks invade the free HB colony. there is also the diary for one of Jake's ansestors who was a general in the Civil war. It's not too good :(

1-0 out of 5 stars ...
I am an avid Animorphs reader...but this book left me disapionted. I thought it was the worst out of the whole series. I did not like the diary entries from Jake's grandfather. If you are looking for realism read this book otherwise just skip the diary entries because they give no addition to the story except make it longer.

4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty good
This was pretty good, but it could've been better. I liked it a lot, but compared to #49 and #50, it's only 4 stars. Right after I read it, I would've said it was awesome, and that it is 5 stars. But #49 and #50 are the BEST in the entire series. This is a must-read, but those are even better. ... Read more

Book Description

The Helmacrons need more power to escape the earth's atmosphere, so they have returned to demand the morphing cube. 4-0 out of 5 stars Those Pesky Helmacrons
The little egomaniacs are back to irritate and amuse the Animorphs. They dive into Cassie's barn in their little Barbie size space ship to take over the universe.

In the midst of trying to capture the little fiends, they dive into Marco's nose to take him hostage. So the friends have to take them on in their friend. Very unique.

I liked the unique staging of this Animorphs book. I also liked the references to other literary icons, such as Magic School Bus. Very neat.

I also think this is the first Animorphs book (not a Mega book) which uses other characters' voices in different chapters. We got a bit of Marco's viewpoint along the way. Rachel even admitted she might possibly like & miss Marco if something were to happen.

Definitely a keeper Animorph book

4-0 out of 5 stars The Helmacrons get their return, but Applegate has not.
By now it seems obvious that Applegate is not writing her own books anymore, or is only pitching the ideas and giving them to other authors to work on. If it's for more time on the Everworld series, then she better stop and go back to what brought her the fame.

The Helmacrons are the best alien species if you want funny. They are the equivilant to Marco's comic relief, and since this is mostly a Rachel book it should make it even better. But problems arise here. Through the middle of the book the readers are presented with facts that are too much science-class info for anyone's taste. If they want to know about the human body's interior, go to school or ask your parents. Animorphs is more sci-fi, not sci-FACT! The huge amounts of description causes it to slow down, and then with the side-story with Marco attempting to pick it up fails at doing so the reader becomes BORED OUT OF THEIR HEAD!

Still, it was very funny. The Magic School Bus tie-in and the one with the film "Fantastic Voyage" provide some jokes, and you can always count on Rachel and Marco to provide humor. But there is a fine line between humor and boring textbook facts, and some kids might not be in the mood to learn about the human body's bloodstream (maybe during the school year so they can use the info for their own benefit, like school projects or tests, but not during the summer when this book was released)!

5-0 out of 5 stars They're back!
The helmacrons totally ruin the Animorphs'lives in this one. You get a little bit of chapters with Marco's point of view. You see, The helmacrons travel up Marco's nose, so, uh, JUST READ IT! It's hilarious, 3 thumbs up.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Great Third Grade Book .
Animorphs the Journey
By
K.A. Applegate

Animorphs the Journey is a part of a series of books called Animorphs. These books have characters called animorphs who can turn from a person into an animal. In this book Animorphs the Journey, the main character Rachel. She is one of the animorphs. She goes to middle school. She is determined never to give up on her journey to prevent the Helmacrons from taking over her friend Marco.
Rachel, Marco, and the rest of their friends, who are all animorphs too, try to keep the Helmacrons from getting the morphing cube. Helmacrons are inch-high aliens who want the cube so they can have the power to morph, or turn into any kind of animal they would like to be. The story gets interesting when the inch-high aliens wind up in Marcos nose. Rachel and her friends try to get the aliens out of Marco. Draycon beams blast everywhere to attack the Helmacrons ( Draycon beams are like bullets out of a gun). This is very dangerous for Marco who could get hurt.
All the events and descriptions in this story help the author achieve the purpose of entertaining the reader and helping them use their imaginations. I liked Animorphs the Journey because it was exciting and adventurous. I never knew what was going to happen next. I would recommend this book because it is so entertaining. It would probably fit kids in third grade, fourth grade, and fifth grade, or really good readers in lower grades.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very good!
I thought this was much better than #40 and some others. It was funny, and very good all around. It was one of m
