5-0 out of 5 stars What is it?
I love this series, but ever since i saw this thing on amazon, i've been wondering: is it a set of all of the books, or is it all of the books in one big book?

4-0 out of 5 stars Great until the end
This is my favorite series in the entire world, but I will no longer buy KA Applegate books after how she ended this series. It WAS absolutely magnificent. Ending the series was like sticking a knife in her fans stomachs, but how she ended it was twisting the knife. I hear there's another book coming out in 2002 and I sincerely hope it will not be as disapointing and depressing as the last "last book." I highly recomend this series, but if you're sensitive, DO NOT READ THE LAST BOOK, #54!!!! That book is the reason I didn't give it five stars. In short, on the cover it says "It started with six, it will end with five" but the truth is it started with six, it will end with ONE!!! (That's five, count 'em FIVE Animorphs dead, not to mention some of the Animorphs' allies.)

4-0 out of 5 stars My favorite book series!
How can I descibe such a great book series. Action in every book. Fighting, danger, suspense, it is justso fun to read. When I was young and didn't like reading the Animorphs series opened me up to books. They were just so good.It was a very funny series. Every book gave me at least one gigle. They went on so many adventures. Into the Yeerk pool, on alien planets, even in the time of the dinosaurs. You get several point of views. Even from the bad guys. The flip book in every book besides the Megamorphs arew fun to flip. I read them all. You have to read them in order to get it. A few problems the Andalites were too tough, Jake and Cassie liking each other is racisum, they have a very stupid senit species morphing rule, and they should use more powerfull morphs for fighting. I hope there will be an Animorphs movie or at least an animated TV show. The TV show they have now is an insulte to the books. Which are great!

5-0 out of 5 stars wow
this is a great book(s) it has all the series put into one. its really cool. laterz DUKE RULES!!! so does butter

5-0 out of 5 stars animorphs
I think that the Animorph books are great. They are fun to read and inspire great imagination. The books are about a group of kids,Jake:the leader,Marco:the joker,Ax:alean,Tobias:the red-tailed hawk,Cassie:the caring and kind one, and Rachel:the rough, almost insane chick. They are fighting off an evil alian race of parasitic slugs, and learn great lessons about real life disisions. They learn that in some cases life isn't just black and white, and you have to make disisions that may change everything. Sometimes they make the right ones and sometimes, they don't know if they made the right one or the wrong one, they just keep going and try not to think about any mistakes that they might have made. The situations are exagerated but almost extemely parallel with real-life dissions. They are wonderful books and I would suggest you read them. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars One of--if not--my most favorite in the series!
I loved this book. It was exceptional. I thought it was funny and exciting, and had everything an Animorph book should. Tobias is one of my favorite characters, and Rachel IS my favorite. Both of these characters were in it a lot, and that was another plus. I loved the chapters when they told their families what they are and what they could do. Rachel's mom reacted so stupidly it was funny. My eyes were glued to the pages without exception for the two and half hours it took me to read it. I recommend this book to anyone and everyone. A must-have addition to the Animorphs series!

5-0 out of 5 stars The Best One Yet!
This was my favorite book yet. It's really cool when they tell their parents about the Yeerks and Animorphs and must leave for the free Hork-Bajir's valley.I found that this one was better than book 37 The Resitance.I thought it was really neat how Tobias's blind mother,Loren is given the morhing ability to escape the Yeerks with Tobias.I liked how she saved him from the dracon beam. When she morphs back she isn't blind.I can't wait till book 50 comes out.I'm sad though that the books end on 56.

4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent book - Only a few flaws
I think this book is one of the best Tobias books, but it seems so abrupt when he meets his mother. It's almost like Tobias says, "Hi, I'm your son." Then it's as if his mother says, "Oh. Okay then. I knew that." I don't really like that part. Otherwise, it's pretty good. There are good Rachel and Tobias parts, an appropriate amount of action, and a great deal of emotion.

5-0 out of 5 stars "They Know We're Human."
Yep,that right. The Yeerks are finally begining to think that maybe the 'Andalite Bandits' aren't Andalites at all, maybe they're human. So they have figure out how to tesst them, DNA.Because every time when the Animorphs are in battle, they lose some blood. So if the Yeerks test it they will find DNA strands of every animal the have acquired, and their actual human DNA.They will know who they are, infact the Yeerk computer has already found a match. The Animorphs try to break in and destroy the computer, but they're stopped. But before they leave they see the one match on the computer, its somebody by the name of Loren, Tobias' mother......Tobias is shocked, everyone has always told him his mother is dead,He has to see her and he wants to save her,Jake doesn't really like that idea,He thinks she could be a Yeerk. So Tobias,Marco and Ax will watch her house for 3 days, and if she doesn't go to the Yeerk pool during that time they will know if she safe, but by then so will the Yeerks....But the computer is still going, and soon the other Animorphs' family members will turn up as matches too........

This is definatley one of the best, and one of my favorites!!!!!I loved the story, its a classic Animorph book...This one, like most Animorphs, really get you into the story, you feel like your really morphing, really in the battle, and really feeling the emoitions and thinking the thoughts....I strongly recomend this book,it Incredible!!!!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars The diversion
This book is my FAVORITE Animorophs book and I've read most of them. The Yeerks begin to realize the "Andalite bandits" are really humans. (most of them) So with the Yeerks closing in The Animorphs and their families must evacuate to the Hork-Bajir valley. Jake parents are taken and made into Controllers and Tobias finds his long lost mother, Loren. This book is really great. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT BOOK
I've been reading Animorphs for years, about 4,and I've got the first 2 books in the Andalite chronicles, the 4 Megamorphs,Visser,Animorphs 1-48,and this one Ellimist, I must say I think they're all EXCELLENT.Back to the point of THIS review. This book will answer practically all your questions about the Ellimist, like where he came from, who he really is, and how he became so powerful. This book starts with a unknown character speaking to Ellimist about did he make a difference in something,I forgot, and what is he.And so the Ellimist explains and thats the book.I don't wanna spoil it for people who haven't read the book, but I'll tell you this Ellimist's true old name is Toomin.Did you wonder who's the new being shown in some books, first in book #41 strange no?

5-0 out of 5 stars The Ellimist Chronicles,an amazing book
The Ellimist Chronicles in my opinion is an amazing book.I've always loved the chronicles because they give you background on characters already introduced but this one was outstanding. The book was filled with emotion and can be depressing at times.I was surprised that there is only one Ellimist.I thought it was a race. The book also gives a little information on Crayak who was also introduced in the animorphs series.I would say more but I don't want to ruin it for those who haven't read it yet.I loved this book and would recommend it to all animorphs fans.

5-0 out of 5 stars Possibly the best Animorphs book in the series.
The Ellimist-a god-like being who somehow is involved in some kind of war with an equally supreme being named Crayak. The Animorphs know little about him, only that he is on their side and he has powers no one can even imagine. Now, Ellimist tells his story to one of the dying Animorphs, at his or her request, without revealing who it is, although you find out in later books.

The Ellimist Chronicles is full of philosophy and passion, and the big theme of everything is that it's all a game. Seriously, in almost every chapter, a game is being played. Games are emphasized, they are important, they are meaningful to the story. Unfortunately K.A. never fully describes the Ellimist's physical form, but besides that, this is an essential part of the classic Animorph collection.

5-0 out of 5 stars What a good book this is
It is a good book if you like the Animorphs series. I would recommend this book to people who don't get confused easily. This author K.A. Applegate does a great job describing this book's events. K.A. Applegate puts the images right in my head and it's one of those books where once you pick it up it's hard to put it down.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Book!
This book in the Animorphs series explains where the Ellimist, a creature who is essentially God, came from. He is just a simple alien whose world is destroyed and must travel through space, along a few dozen other aliens of the same species, to find a new home. About sixty years later he and his ship are forced down onto a moon, covered with a giant alien squid that keeps him alive for company. Eventually(centuries later) Ellimist escapes the beast(by absorbing its mind, and the minds of all the other being it has captured), creates a ship, and leaves the planet. With thousands of minds in his own he now discovers ways to prolong his life indefinately and he goes about helping races with problems, like an intergalactic war, a plague, or a drought, for a millenia. Then after he returns to the site of his first 'assistance' he discovers a being called the Crayak who wants to destroy all life. Why he wishes this is unknown. So they go off into the universe, the Ellimist seeding worlds with life and creating a race of aliens called the Pemalites to do the same thing, while the Crayak goes around destroying entire world's. Then, the Crayak sets a trap for the Ellimist, who is sucked into a black hole, something even he can't beat. But, then something strange happens. The Ellimist evolves into a higher being. The Crayak does the same, still wanting to destroy all life. However, now the two are equals. What the Crayak destroys, the Ellimist rebuilds and vice versa. They reach a stalemate. So they agree to play a series of games. Violent ones, obviously. Games need warriors so the Ellimist, through a series of changes in time, forms the Animorphs. These changes are explained better in the future books. Oh, and why is he telling us his story in the first place. He is telling his story to a human child who has just died because of his interfearance, so that the chil can understand why he or she had to die. We don't know who it is, only the the child is a member of the Animorphs, and not Ax, since he is not a human child. So that's it, the entire story. If you think this review is long, think how the book feels. Aside from the length and stressfulness of the book it is very good. I recomend it very much. ... Read more
