Best Little-Sister Book!
I have read all of the Little Sister books, and this is definitely my favorite! When Karen's cousin, Diana comes to visit, Karen is so excited, but when Diana does things that are wrong, Karen gets upset. I would feel the same way if I were in Karen's place. Karen's Goldfish
Karen and Andrew get new pets - goldfish. Karen names her goldfish Crystal Light. But then her goldfish dies and she has a funreal. Mrs. Porter gives her a new goldfish and Karen names it Crystal Light like her old fish. Some people wrote that they think it's weird that Karen is sad about her goldfish and has a funreal. I don't think it's strange. Real kids would have funreals for their pets, too. I buried my pet robin Rob after he died. And of course I would be sad if Little Meow or Smokey died. I think these books are about things that could really happen. I felt really sad when Shadow died. I think Crystal Light died when Karen wasn't at the big house, but I can't remember, because I got this from the library.

A really good book!
I read a book called Karen's goldfish. It is a very good book. Karen has a pet rat named Emily. Her parents are divorced so she lives at two houses. She has a pet at
Her mom's house and not a pet at her dad' house and
She wants a pet at her dad's house. She also has brothers and sisters at both houses. One day she gets a goldfish, and
named her Crystal Light. One Time her brother was watching her. And he killed her Karen was sad when she found out. They had a funeral. Then she got a new fish named Crystal Light the second.

A Goldfish bothers Karen!
This book was good. The witch was so kind to Karen.I recommend this book.I felt so sad for Karen and Crystal Light but I am glad that in the next book she got a new goldfish named Crystal Light the second.At first I was so happy when Karen got a new Goldfish, then I became so sad when it died.I have given this book 4 stars.I recommend this book for Animal lovers.

kind of stupid
I think that this book was boring, and a bit stupid. Who would be so upset about a goldfish? I wasn't that obsessed about my goldfish when i was in second grade, and who would have a whole funeral for a fish?

It Bothers Me!
When Karen's goldfish dies, she goes into mourning and will not eat. It bothers me that a second grader would go to such extreme mesures over a dead goldfish. It doesn't set a good example for kids. The book is kind of saying that it is normal to go into mourning over a goldfish, and parhaps a real second grader would do so. It's not right. The book however does illustrate that it is alright to feel sad, but it is not normal to arrange a school-wide funneral. ... Read more

Great book
Karen is so excited when she hears about Bike Safety month at school and the upcoming bike athon. But then Karen discovers that her bike is too small for her so Karen buys a new bike with some of her money and some of daddy's. But Karen's happiness is short lived when her bike is stolen will Karen get her bike back and before the bike athon?

Best Book Ever!

My book is called KAREN'S BIG CITY MYSTERY There was a girl named Karen, who went to her mom and her brother Andrew. One day while Andrew was at pre school there was a robbery at Karen's mom's apartment so when Karen found out so she wanted to find the burgler. So she sent out to find the burgler. Meanwhile she meant a person named Matt and Karen thought that he was the bugler. But then one day Karen talked to Matt and come to find out he was working on the same case. So they teemed up to find the burgler. My opinion of the book is I liked how the creators teamed up and did detective work to find the burgler. Karen gets a big surprise!
This book was so funny! Karen played a lot of really funny jokes on people. I liked the joke she tried to play on her family, but then the joke didn't work.I laughed a lot.

THIS BOOK WAS AWFUL!!
I really thought this book was awful. It was boring. Plus Anne Martin never abbriviated words, It was awlways, "I do not want to" instead of "I don't want to" or something like that. Karen Brewer First Class Detective!
Well I think that this is a cool book!Karen isn't that annoying and besides she is a good detective.When Nancy and her family go on holiday to Seattle,they hire a house sitter named Bill{like my pony}.Karen is suspicious of Bill so with the help of Hannie and a tape recorder Karen catches Bill in the act.Definatly a great book!

It's very weird to say this, but I HATE how a perfect little girl she is. It's annoying. She's always the heroine, it's EVEN more annoying!

Pretty good book....exactly what I expected...but boring....
I think this was a pretty good book, but why does Ann M. Martin always have to make Karen be the heroine? It's like Karen's a perfect little girl or something-the way she always solves mysteries, the way she always getsperfect grades in school, the way she has tons of friends, the way she's sopopular just because she's in a club with two of her perfect littlefriends, the way she's "married" to a boy in her class-it justmakes it sound as if Karen's the most perfect little girl in the wholeworld-and no one's perfect-the Baby-sitter's Little Sister books are justtoo unrealistic. In real life, it takes days, even weeks to solvemysteries. In this book, it only took Karen about three days to solve 'thespy mystery'. I think this is an okay book, but I think Ann M. Martin couldmake the Baby-sitter's Little Sister books sound a lot more realistic.

This book has a hopeful ending. She wants to go to Fun Land, but she has no money until she finds a lucky penny when she finds a wallet full of money. My friends would like this book because it's about a girl that learns the value of the dollar who doesn't take money seriously.

This book tells the story of a girl that finds a lucky penny and finds a wallet full of money. The genre is fiction (not real). The book fits in a larger context-social because there was a lot of socializing in this book. I like this book because it is non-fiction (real) like biography.

This book is a powerful look at the concept of not taking money seriously. I like this author because it makes you want to stay and read it some more. With the other authors, I just read one chapter, and then I'm finished with the book. I read a book based on how interesting it is, if I like to think about it more. If it is boring, I read it fast to get it done. I like the book Karen's Lucky Penny because there's more adventure in this book than the other books I have read in the past.

It is a great book for kids-they will love reading it over!
This was my favorite book when I was younger. Sometimes I still grab it off the shelf and read it. It is about a girl named Karen who is sitting around with her friends, bored to death, and they decide to have a carnival, and they will be giving the money to a charity. I think this was an okay book. It was about a little girl who had two families. She went through a lot just to find out a ghost's story. The ghost's name was Ben Brewer. Karen is commited to findingout what happened to this ghost because she wants to have the best ghost story in her class. I like someone who is commited to something. I reccomend this to any one who likes an adventurios ghost story that isn't to scary. That is why I am giving it three stars.

Karen's mermaid
I was allways a fan of BSC and little sister series.In this book Karen's little house family and the Pikes go to the Jersey shore together.Margo Pike turns out to be a big bragger and brat(I agree) and brags so much that Karen accidentely tells her she saw a mermaid.Of course Margo dosen't believe her and decides to play a trick on Karen.She,her brother Nicky,and sister Vanessa write notes to Karen pretending to be a mermaid. But not only do they write how much the mermaid likes Karen they also ask Karen for a lot of stuff a barette,a comb etc., then Margo sends her final note for some snacks called Murin mermaid chow.Karen goes looking for them and Margo and Nicky finally tell her.Karen gets really mad and dosen't talk to Margo,Nicky or Vanessa.But then something happens(not telling you what) and they make up and everything.I donn't really like Margo she's a selfish bossy bratty bragger who enjoys making people look bad.
