5-0 out of 5 stars His new snuggly?
My 20 mo old son hasn't "bonded" to an object yet and this book may be it...he LOVES the pictures and makes sounds like Blue when he reads it. He's hard to get to concentrate on a book...we may get the whole series!

3-0 out of 5 stars just okay
My daughter is a huge Blue's Clues fan so we had to get this book for her. I was also looking forward to the subject of bedtime since my little girl tends to have trouble winding down and getting ready for bed. So I thought maybe this would help a little.
I thought the story was not really as good as some other Blue's Clues books we've read. And the main thing I didn't really like was that the pages just had too much text for us. My daughter is 20 months and actually has quite a long attention span for her age, but she just doesn't stay interested in this book long enough for me to read a whole page.
If your child is a little older though, it should be okay. Overall I wouldn't say this is a bad little book...just okay!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Bedtime book!
My 18 mo old son had become a Blues Clues addict. He calls them "coo-clues." I bought this book for him along with a few others, and this has become the overwhelming favorite. He brings it to me all the time, requesting me to read it. In the book Blue goes through her bedtime routine and my son finds it easy to follow along pointing out to things along the way. He likes this book so much we usually end up reading it several times in a row!

5-0 out of 5 stars Bedtime favorite
This book is our daughters favorite our of all the Blue's books. It's the current bedtime book and she could easily spend the entire night reading it. It is fun for parents to read in bed with their kids and you will enjoy it too. Pages are bright and colorful and holds the childs attention. Parents add a few sound effects, dog barks etc, like on tv, and you will have a winner here. The whole Blue's videos and books are a must and in association with parental teaching your child will improve greatly. Where was Blue many years ago for our other children. One of the best learning shows around. Our daughter is two years old and now has a great imagination and play skills, which, thanks to Blue and Steve, is improving each and everyday of Blues Clues. Buy this book, plenty of fun adults and kids.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good bed-time book - but no clues
This is a nice little book for walking your child through a bedtime routine. It doesn't require any familiarity with Blue's Clues for it to make sense and be a good bed-time read. However, if your child (like mine) is a Blue's Clues nut, and constantly scanning for clues, this book may cause some dissapointment at first. He got over it though, and now makes up his own clues as he goes through the book. Good stuff. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Counting with Blue
I got this book for my daughter when she was about 18 months old, and she loved it. It counts to five using easy to understand rhymes and pastel drawings of familiar animals (bunnies, kitties, butterflies, ladybugs, etc.). She asked for it every night for weeks. At the time, she had never seen a Blue's Clues episode, so her liking of the book was not due to already liking the character of Blue. ... Read more

For kids who can't get enough of television's Blue'sClues, this storybook with 63 stickers should help tide them over until the next episode. In this colorful paperback, the irrepressible Blue is off tothe farm with her earnest pal Steve, who asks readers to help identifyanimal tracks, figure out what kinds of animals belong on the farm, and decipher what Blue's favorite animal is by the clues left throughoutthe book. The illustrations consist of color-drenched, Teletubbies-style panoramas, superimposed withAstroturf, paper cutouts, clay figures, and what appears to be lettuce. The text is straight out of a scriptdesigned to get kids excited about sleuthing: "I was wondering," Steve asks, eyebrows skyward, "do you know what all these animals like to eat? Youdo? Will you get the animals their lunch? Great!" Your kids will hardlynotice this isn't TV! (Ages 3 to 6) ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Challenging and fun
My three year old nephew just got this book and loves it. He examines each page carefully and shouts "a clue! a clue!" whenever he sees the trademark blue paw print. He also informed me that he likes "that guy" meaning Steve, the genial young TV host. A cute book with lots of colorful stickers.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun Fun Fun
Our daughter spends many hours reading and re-reading this book and interacting with Blue. It comes out for reading especially when Blue's on tv and she points at the book and tv and has really developed her learning and memory retention and recollection. Buy this book, plenty of fun for your kids.

5-0 out of 5 stars My son was intranced. It was a great book.
My son just loves Blues Clues. He has learned all the farm sounds from this book. I highly recommend it. My son is 2.

5-0 out of 5 stars my 4 year old's favorite book
This is my daughter's favorite book. It comes with 2 pages of stickers which go into the book. We had to work together to put the stickers in place and it was like doing a puzzle. Now it is HER book and she has changed around some of the stickers to make it even more hers.

5-0 out of 5 stars It was a fun way to learn about the animals on a farm.
It is one of the most fun ways for preschoolers to learn about both kinds of animals on a farm. Steve makes learning fun and exciting. The interaction of reality and make-believe is really refreshing. Keep up the good work.

Thanks Steve. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars lift-the-flap and recipes make a winning combination
Blue is having a snack party. All her friends are bringing snacks. We discover what each is by lifting flaps that show the ingredients and recipe with the finished dish underneath. These are healthy snacks made by Steve, Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper, Mailbox, Tickety Tock, Shovel & Pail, and Magenta. In the meantime we help Steve solve Blue's Clues to discover what snack Blue will bring. A final picture of everyone with their snacks suggests the upcoming party will be festive indeed.

4-0 out of 5 stars Anyone remember Colorforms (tm)
I avoided this book for some time. I wasn't interested in anything with "stickers" for my young son. (I could just see them being attached to the wood furniture.) At some point we ended up with the book. I was shocked that the "stickers" were actually "colorforms", something that I had been looking for. The "stickers" are made of a thin plastic with the pictures printed on them. The "pages" of the book are made of a stiff board material.

Ironically I was looking for colorforms for my son. When I inquired at the local toy stores they all told me that Colorforms were no longer in production.

4-0 out of 5 stars good intro. to the planets
This is a simple, not too many details book about the planets. It is a good place to get kids wondering what is up there with a catchy little song from the Steve era of the show.

4-0 out of 5 stars Blue and Steve's introduction to the solar system
One of the best episode's of the Blue's Clues television series is the one that introduces the solar system. "Well, the sun's a hot star .... Mercury's hot too. Venus is the brightest planet .... etc."

There is not much text here. Basically the song is repeated twice, with text bubbles advising you where to place the many colorful and durable stickers depicting the planets, a shooting star, a rocket and various other solar system-y things.

5-0 out of 5 stars Get it!
My three year old knows all the planets thanks to Blue and Steve. This is the second time I have purchased this same book. My son placed the reusable stickers in the black dishwasher. It looked just like outer space and he would sing the song over and over. It just so happened that Mommy actually needed to wash the dishes, and the heat from the dry cycle melted the stickers! So I had to get a new book for him. So please, don't place the stickers where they can melt, or your child my have a melt down of his own!

5-0 out of 5 stars Blue conquers the world!
My son is a HUGE fan of Blue's Clues and he's also fascinated by the solar system. We were both really excited when we found Blue Skidoos to the Planets because he loved the episode of the show. He couldn't wait to get home and put the stickers in the book. He is able to read the entire book by himself and he can sing the song, too. He's only six, but he can name all of the planets thanks to this book. Thank you Steve and Blue for being such wonderful friends to preschoolers! ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars ok
I'm not a big fan of these books, but my daughter really enjoyed this book, if not for the story, for the lift the flaps and my improvisation of the story. I don't think this will ever be a classic, nor a story that has any content. But it definitely has that 'Blue' appeal that infants and toddlers love.

4-0 out of 5 stars Definitely a Toddler Book, Not a Baby Book
The artwork in this book is excellent! Just as good as the TV show. My 13-month-old son loves to look at the pictures in this book, and open the flaps, but tends to lose patience with the words. I think he might enjoy it more in 5 or 6 months, when he can identify shapes better.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Must Have Book !
What a great book to add to a toddler's collection. This is a must have. Having fun, learning shapes and colors, and an easy read for a tired dad in the evening. Another 'must have' we've found are two in a series called WHAT IS ROUND? and WHAT IS SQUARE?....maybe even better because the images are real photographs and WOW talk about color. We pack ALL of these with us when we go anywhere. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Weather Games
This book is excellent! I have a 20 month old who loves Blue's Clues and we have recently discovered this book series. As any fan of this show would expect, this book offers plenty of opportunities to interact with your child as they discover the effects of different types of weather in Blue's backyard. My child's language development has been enhanced by naming and pointing to the items in the brilliantly colored pictures. This book immediately captured my child's attention and even though we read it every day she still gets excited when I pull it out for her! 5-0 out of 5 stars A fun and educational book for Blues Clues fans
My two boys love this book and usually read it every day. It has over 50 flaps for the children to lift up and play a game of Blues Clues along with Steve, Blue and their friends. I think it keeps the kids interest because it allows them to think as they read along. The book is full of educational references to numbers, letters and telling time. My 2-year-old reads this book and then refers to objects around the house that he has read about and learned. I love this book and it has made my children very happy.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great for Blue fans--just wish the flaps weren't so flimsy!
I bought this for my 19-month-old son because it combines two of his favorite things: Blue's Clues and flap books. We have three other flap books, and he is admittedly hard on them. However, the cardboard on this book is especially easy to bend. I have to bite my tongue when he gets overly enthusiastic...after all, it *is* his book and I want him to enjoy reading, not be admonished for relishing the flaps! But while most of them are now lovingly bent (making the book kind of "puffy" when closed), he has not ripped them off. I have gotten over it, but if you're one to get "bent out of shape" over bent-out-of-shape flaps, this might not be the best choice.

On a more positive note, he loves the pictures. The colors are trademark bright, and the hide-and-finds are clever. I like the positive message that Blue's favorite place is school, too. Despite the "flap" flap, I'm considering the purchase of the birthday flap book simply because he loves this one so much!

5-0 out of 5 stars She could find this book if it were in Shri Lanka
This has been my 2 year old's favorite book since she was 10 months old. Seeing all her friends from Blue's Clues makes it interesting, and the colors are bold and the illustrations just like the show. The jillions of flaps are just what my curious girl needs. Many of the flaps are bent or missing now, but I plan to just buy a new one when it gets too beat up. It's a very large book though, can be hard to tote around when your on outings or trips.

5-0 out of 5 stars Favorite Book of My 16-Month Old Grandson
Bought this book for my 16-month old grandson and he was facinated from the beginning. Loved the tabs that lift up and finding the pictures underneath. My daughter put it away for a few days and pulled it out as her "secret weapon" for a recent plane trip! I can highly recommend this book.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good book, bad flaps
I gave this book to my 20-month old daughter to keep her occupied on a recent plane trip. She absolutely loved it, and with so many flaps she was busy for a long time.

However, like others have mentioned, the flaps don't hold up to a little person's "excited" grasp. She has ripped 22 of the flaps off, and although I tape them back on, they don't hold very well, and usually come off again during the next flip-through.

She too seems a little young for some of the things the book wants you to do, but soon she will be able to. She loves the book which is the important thing. If you have a child who likes Blue and lift-the-flap books (as mine does!) I would recommend this book. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A Book a Parent Will Love
As the parent of an only child whose endless questions can some time be exasperating, I was grateful for and amused by "Blue's Amazing Body Book". My daughter, who is an ardent fan of the television series, is so enthralled with the pull tabs in the book, that she does not even realize that she is learning. We have made a game of anticipating what will appear with each tab pulled, and both my husband and I are amazed at our daughters ability to comprehend and memorize the different body parts and their function. The authors of this book have written it in such a way as to be childlike but not condescending, their understanding of children is just another example of the success of Blue's Clues and it's commitment to be used as a learning tool and not just a babysitter. ...
