5-0 out of 5 stars Little Pet Shop of Horrors
The book I read is called, Little Pet Shop of Horrors. I was very interested in the book by the cover and the text of the book. It was amazing to me in every chapter I read. I would recommed this book to Young Adults & Children also. The book is very good at descriping what, when, and how thing are going on. This book is good for everyone.

5-0 out of 5 stars This is one of the best books I have ever read!!
I read this book a long time ago when I was visiting my dad in Orleans, Indiana. I rented it from the library and I kept saying to myself, I've got to get this book. I don't remember much about it other than a girl getting turned into a dog, but I know the rest of it is good too. Take my advise and buy this book!! ... Read more

Once again bestselling author Betsy Haynes (The Fabulous Five series) has unleashed her prolific pen, this time to delightfully horrifying good use.Bone Chillers is an entertaining collection of grotesqueries that are especially twisted for the minds of young readers. Grounded in the familiar terrain of school, shopping malls, or family affairs, each fantasia exposes a macabre world of demons and monsters lurking just below the mundane surface of everyday life.

In Beware the Shopping Mall, a group of friends is lured to a grand opening with hopes of finding some killer deals. But there's something troubling about this retail paradise and their search for bargains quickly turns into a shopping spree to die for!

Overflowing with buckets of gore and more than a little vomitus, Bone Chillers aren't for the squeamish. But there's a moral hidden in this madness and, in the end, the good guys usually come out on top--even if they are covered in some kind of slime. --George Laney ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars The Beginning of The Series
Beware the Shopping Mall was the first book out of the series written and created by Betsy Haynes. I was suprised at how Betsy Haynes can write so wonderful. In the book, there is a new mall about to open called Wonderland Mall. But there are strange rumors about the place. It seems that the mall has been built under a graveyard by mistake. And all the clerks in the mall seem a bit strange if you know what I mean by strange...

Something is lookng for the girl named Robin and her friends in the mall. They must investagate the place to find the mysterious "thing" that's been haunting the mall. Something dead lies in the mall, and now it's up to the kids to find what it is, before IT finds them first...

4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty Good.
I usually don't like Bone Chillers or Betsy Hayne's books very much, but this one definitely deserves to be read. The suspense in here is pretty well-viewed, and the villains of the strory are pretty cool. Wish the other Bone Chiller books were this good (Especially "Strange Brew", ugh!). ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Welcome to Alien Inn
I rated this book as a 4 star because it was a pretty good book to read. The reason I rated it a 4 star instead of a 5 star is probably because it was too short. Welcome to Alien Inn is the kind of book that you have trouble putting down, but the element that disapointed me was that it was short. Since I am a pretty fast reader, I read it in about 2 weeks. If you like science fiction, I would think that you would like this book. This book has a typical science fiction plot. The family goes to a place to stay, and that place just happens to be a space ship from outer space that is shaped like an inn. And of course all the members that work at the Inn are aliens. Even the people that are supposed to be "staying" there are aliens. As I said, if you are a science fiction person, I think that you would enjoy this book.

5-0 out of 5 stars Actually, very good
I just read the book (few years after publication) and it's well written. Yes, it reads a little like a fairy tale, which is what makes it different. Great read and good story.

1-0 out of 5 stars Babyish
Out of all the Bone Chillers books, this would be the worst. The story is where there's a new girl who is stunning and uses that to capture and feed up a boy of her choice. It turns out she is actually is a monster. It's more suitable to a little three year old because it is more like a fairy tale. I sounded so much like a fairy tale that I expected it to start 'Once upon a time'. No plot whatsoever. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars 2nd Grade teacher review
I love the old buildings in New York with the gargoyles and figures that scare and interest you. I live in Texas now but there is nothing like NY. This book took me to the places in NY that I remember and love. I loved to walk in Central Park. Having the horses ride in the Park was great! I enjoyed the characters. I read the book to my 4th graders and now my second graders are reading it. They love the story. Most of all I love this book because one of the horses is named after me, My Sister Eileen. Old Rob,the other horse,is named after my other son. Maybe you can guess by now. My son is the author and I show off his name on the second page to the children in my class. They love to know that Mrs. Hult's son is a writer and his name is in a book. They talk about him alot. Maybe, they even dream of being a writer like Gene Hult. My dream is to create students who can create stories like my son has. Thanks for a great story. ... Read more
