4-0 out of 5 stars Funny Book
"Amber Brown is Not a Crayon" is one of the funniest books I have ever read and maybe it could be for you too. In the book, Justin and Amber were best friends. All of a sudden, Justin is moving away and they get in a fight. They figure out that getting in a fight over a silly little move is very silly indeed.

5-0 out of 5 stars Like Friendship? Read This Book!
How would you enjoy getting into a fight with your friend? In Amber Brown is Not a Crayon by Paula Danziger, Amber Brown got into a fight with her friend, Justin. Unfortunately, Justin is moving away. I really like this book because it reminds me to get along with my friends.

5-0 out of 5 stars My Favorite Amber Brown
I gave this book five stars because it was humorous, happy, and a really good book.It was about a girl named Amber Brown that gets teased in school because of her name, and about her being a crayon. My favorite part was when Amber and her friend Jason become best friends.

4-0 out of 5 stars A Fun, Light Read!
I love these Amber Brown books. I'm thirteen, so these books are a fun, light read. The books follow third grader Amber Brown, who, in this book, is coping with the fact that her best friend, Justin, is moving. She must learn to deal with her feelings with Justin. It's funny and sincere and you'll definatly like it!

5-0 out of 5 stars United Tates of America
I think this book has 3 million thumbs up! I really liked it! I was so into it, I read it in a day practically and read it 10x! I especially like that she and I have the same problems and both are interested in scrapebooking!

4-0 out of 5 stars United Tates of America
A great book. Very interesting and creative. I like the part where she was learning and adapting to a new school and also her experiences of not feeling as close to her best friend.

1-0 out of 5 stars Booooooring
This is a really boring book. The only sad or emotional part is when the Great Uncle guy dies. Otherwise its very corny. Not to mention "cheap". What's with stealing the name "Lipschitz" from Rugrats. And come on, the ryhme thing got old fast.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful for kids & adults - and the travel season ahead
Though the book opens with the first day of sixth grade for its heroine Skate Tate, "Tates" comes out at an excellent time for kids and families planning spring and summer vacations, since the final chapters are spent "on the road."

Paula Danziger gets the language of middle school just right...my daughter laughed over much of this book (she's a fifth grader) and was moved to tears as well. As an added bonus, the scrapbook portion inspired her to gather up photos and memorabilia and spend her allowance on a scrapbook of her own.

"United Tates of America" is funny, well-written, thoroughly entertaining, and also deals thoughtfully with some difficult issues, including death and how to answer a late elementary/early middle schooler's concern about feeling responsible for the death of a loved one. I've been recommending it to friends/other parents who need resources in this area (much as I steer people to "The Tenth Good Thing About Barney" by Judith Viorst when the topic is death of a pet).

And if your child can't read in the car without getting carsick, there's an audiobook version available with a full cast of children and adult voices; in fact, Paula Danziger herself can be heard on the audiobook recording--first as Skate's teacher, Mrs. Lipschitz, and then in a special afterword in which she shares her own journey in creating this novel.

I found this book engaged my child on a deeper level due to the scrapbook section; when you see photos of the characters, although you know it's fiction, you can't help but feel their experiences more intimately. Take a look and give it a try - it's as good a read for adults as it is for kids, and a good place to start a dialogue with your child on loss and healing, among other topics. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Another Great Read!
In this book, Amber has a growth spurt, and is enjoying fourth grade. She is worried about her parents because they fight like children. Her mother is engaged to be married again and Amber is concerned about her love for her father. What's a fourth grader to do?

5-0 out of 5 stars The best Amber Brown book
I simply adore Amber Brown books!I love Amber Brown sees red because it is so funny. I especially like the bit when her school is full of skunks. My second favourite character is Brenda the Amber sitter because her hair is always a different colour, she wears wacky clothes, wears loads of earings and seems to be the best babysitter ever!Keep writing, Paula.

4-0 out of 5 stars A Easy Reader
The book was ok. In most of it I thought it was very good. I thought the part when they had a skunk day was pretty funny. I rated it with four stars because it was a good book, just not the best.

I am a seventh grader from Michigan and I read Amber Brown Sees Red for a book report project. I think evey student from ages nine to thirteeen should read the book. Her father lives in Paris , France, and he's moving back to the U.S. Whenever Amber's dad calls, her mom has to talk to him first and they always fight. Amber doesn't know how to get them to stop fighting and listen to her. When her father moves back, she will be living with him part time because of shared custody, but she feels split. 4-0 out of 5 stars Amber Brown goes fourth
This was a very good book, great for kids in the third or fourth grade. Ambers best friend moves away, because his father gets a new job. Amber has alot to deal with now. Her parents are not together and she has lost her best friend. This book shows how Amber copes with all these things. It also is helpful in showing you how to make new friends. Great book, would recommend it to everyone who has ever felt a little left out or just lonely at times.

5-0 out of 5 stars Please read and enjoy
I picked Amber Brown is not a Crayon because I like the book very much and I like reading something that is funny. And like Amber brown she is a teenage girl like I am.She talk about things that I would talk about. She goes through things that most girls and families goes through. There was one book that she wrote was Amber Brown goes to fourth grade and her mom tries so herd to get her up for school and she makes up the most stupid lies that I have ever heard .But in the end her mom makes go to school anyways .And I will rate this book to 5 stars because that is a very good book. I reccomend all people out there read this book.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Book ever!!
Amber Brown is not a Crayon is a 5 stars book! I suggest you read this because in the book Amber's friend Justin moves away!! If you've ever had a best friend move away, you would love this book! Amber has had a very tough life because her mom and dad are divoriced. She bairly ever gets to see her dad. She really loves her mom and dad both and wishes that they would get back together again! If your parents are divoriced then you would know how Amber feels. When I read this book I said to myself this is the best book I've ever read and then when I told my class they agreed! So that is how good it is!! If you don't read this you'll be very sorry. So just put down that gameboy and nintendo and get reading!! As I said before I loved this book so much I couldn't put it down!! Other books that are in the Amber Brown series are Amber Brown Forever, Amber Brown You Can't Eat Your Chicken Pox, and Amber Brown goes Fourth!!

5-0 out of 5 stars The Exellent Books
I have read all the Amber Brown books, and I LOVE all of them! Amber Brown is in fourth grade. Her life is falling apart. Her parents got divorced, her best friend moved away, and her mom isn't too nice. Plus her mom is getting remarried, she found a new best friend , and her dad is moving back. Amber is real funny and is always getting detention at school. I LOVE the books, and highly recommend them.

4-0 out of 5 stars It's Okay....
Now, these Amber Brown books are very funny. Amber is facing a life kind-of like reality. Her parents are divorced and she's trying to cope with the fact. She is really like a real girl. She acts very juvinile, well she is in fourth grade. This book is good for fourth or third graders because the words are big and easy to read. But for older kids, it might seem too easy. But Amber faces very likely problems like you and me. Very fun to read. ... Read more

Tara*Starr and Elizabeth finally have e-mail and they are sooooooo excited. After a year of snail mail following Tara*Starr's move to Ohio (chronicled in P.S. Longer Letter Later), the long-distance friends are ready for the more immediate gratification of e-mail. Eighth grade turns out to be as intense as seventh, with still more challenges to the best friends' relationship, including new local friendships for each, a baby sibling on the way for Tara*Starr, devastating drama from Elizabeth's alcoholic and absent father, and ever-broadening horizons for both teens.

Two terrifically popular authors, Paula Danziger (The Cat Ate My Gymsuit) and Ann M. Martin (The Baby-Sitters Club series), make a wildly contrasting yet compatible team, as reflected in Martin's reserved and introspective Elizabeth, and Danziger's exuberantly hyperbolical Tara*Starr. Honest and unpredictable, and oh-so-current, the book addresses many of the issues that plague and perplex teenagers today: dating, drinking, friendships, changing relationships with parents, divorce, even death. Impossible to put down, this novel in e-mail messages is every bit as warm, complex, profound, and moving as the authors' first team effort. (Ages 9 and older) --Emilie Coulter ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Snail Mail No More
The book "Snail Mail No More" is a wonderful book. The protaginists are named TaraStar and Elizabeth. They are both 13 years old and best friends but TaraStar lives in Ohio and Elizabeth lives in New Jersey.Their goal is to make their friendship last. Their barrier is that their own conflicts may get in the way between the two of them. One conflict is that Elizabeth's father left her and her family or another on is that TaraStar's mother had a baby. Their lives are changing and it's hard for them to keep a long lasting friendship.
The author's style of writing is very interesting because it's all in e-mails. I really liked how the author did that because it makes the book fun to read and is not like anyother regular book.
I really liked this book and I could read it as many times and it still wouldn't be boring to me. It's honest about things that happen and things that might happen to anybody. It has humor and it is also sad. I loved it and is a great book.

4-0 out of 5 stars Differences
Snail Mail no More is about two young teens, Tara Starr Lane and Elizabeth who are separated when one of them moves to Ohio. They were the best of friends and it was terribly sad for the both of them. In Danziger's first book in this series, P.S Longer Letter Later, the two friends must keep contact with each other by using snail mail(regular mail). But in this book their families purchase computers so they can keep contact in e-mails! Tara Starr Lane is incredibly outgoing and energetic, and loves sparkly clothes and jewels and Elizabeth likes to keep to herself and pays no attention to clothes. They are so totally different, but somehow they manage to remain friends. Read a book full of funny e'mails sad e's and regular e's. I think you'll enjoy this book!

5-0 out of 5 stars An instant favorite
right when i finished the first page i knew that i would love this book. I have read it 5 times and every time it never gets old. I think of it as a book that covers common teen troubles. If you need a book to read PICK THIS UP NOW!

5-0 out of 5 stars Review for Snail Mail No More
Best friends Elizabeth and Tara*Starr have just moved far apart from each other. Tara*Starr accessorizes and loves to be in the spotlight. Elizabeth loves writing poetry and reading, and hates being noticed. After both of them receive the ability to e-mail, staying in touch is easier than ever! Both girls' lives are changing and not being able to be with each other doesn't help. Tara's mother has a baby and Elizabeth's father walks out on her family.
This book has an unforgettable tale that is hard to forget. The story really puts friendship to the test. It's very interesting to see how jealousy, dating, personal problems, siblings, and death can get in the way of friendship. It is also very fascinating to see how all these problems are resolved and how you can apply them to everyday life. I really enjoyed this story and I would recommend it to anyone who asked.

2-0 out of 5 stars Not the best of Amber Brown
I read many of the Amber Brown books with my 7-year old daughter, and generally, we love them. All of the books have a portion dedicated to the fact that her parents have split up and how she is dealing with this situation. Although my daughter cannot relate directly to that, it has lead to some interesting discussions. Most of the books have a humerous story interweaved, but unfortunately, not this one. It is a story of a girl who goes to Europe to visit her father, gets sick, and is bored sitting in her aunt's flat. We were as bored as Amber. While I would highly recommend other books (I, Amber Brown; Amber Brown Sees Red; Forever Amber Brown), I have to recommend staying away from this one.

5-0 out of 5 stars I Thought The Book Was Great!
I just finished this story. It is about Amber Brown at school. Her best friend Justin Daniels just moved away. When she came home her parents get divorced. Guess what! Her dad moves to France. She could not believe what happened to her life. Her life was wrecked into pieces! She was heart broken. Then a couple of months later she goes to France. She was so happy to see her dad. France was so cool. But she gets the chicken pox! I thought the book was great! It lots of parts I liked. I don't have a favorite part, though!- By Amanda H. Age 7

4-0 out of 5 stars You diffenatly can't eat your chicken pox
This book was an okay book, but thier could have been a little more excitement and adventure, which I think makes this book kind of boring, but the good thing is she had fun in Europe.

5-0 out of 5 stars I LOVED THIS BOOK !
This book is one of the best books in the world. It's a funny story because when she feed the birds with her aunt in London, another little girl was getting something "yucky" wiped out of her hair if you know what I mean. I recomend this book for you to read.

1-0 out of 5 stars Three sad stories purposefully told
Soap opera cliches about divorce. Illness in a foreign country. A parent who inexplicably avoids caring for his only child when she is sick and far from home. A parent who padlocks Amber's belongings so that she can not open them. Trivial story of a London visit. Kids have plenty of better books to read. Skip this one. ... Read more

In the story, Amber Brown is feeling blue, written by Paula Danziger is about a girl named Amber whose parents are divorced and for Thanksgiving, her Mom wants to take her to Walla Walla, Washington but her Dad wants to take her to New York. She doesn't want to choose - but her parents are leaving it up to her. To make things worse, Amber Brown isn't the only one in school with a colorful name anymore. Kelly Green is the new girl in her class...Amber ends up showing Kelly around the school and they become best friends.

My favorite part in the book is when Kelly sees another student throwing up so she ended up throwing up too.

I chose this book because it is about a girl my age and I wanted to learn about her life and how it compares to mine.

1-0 out of 5 stars Ms. Danziger writes to two audiences
While Paula Danziger should be praised for writing about real-life situations and the difficult decisions children sometimes face, it would be better if she would focus her writing on her reader audience, children.
Ms. Danziger seems unable to resist puns and double entendres that are way above even the oldest readers in her audience. For example, in the school barfing scene, the new girl in school, Kelly Green is given the nickname KGB or Kelly Greenbarf. There is no way contemporary 9 year-olds would give this nickname since the KGB didn't even exist when they were born and it is doubtful they would be studying that part of history in the 4th grade. Further, Ms. Danziger goes out of her way to twist the text to fit in her next superfluous pun when Amber feels guilty about various things the precocious 9 year old suggests a new nail polish color "Amber Brown Gilt". This would seem clever to adult children's book reviewers (her real audience?) but show me a 9-12 year old who knows what "gilt" is.
Also, like many children's book authors, Ms. Danziger has her adult characters behaving like children and vice versa. Amber's mother promises that she will be OK with whatever Amber decides to do on Thanksgiving, but when Amber makes her decision Mom breaks her promise by weeping like a child.
In the last chapter, Ms. Danziger acknowledges this when the main character, Amber Brown says, "I just hate it when they (adults) make jokes I don't understand." Ms. Danziger should realize that her readers, kids not reviewers, don't like it much either. Stop writing for reviewers, write for children.

4-0 out of 5 stars My book review
I think Amber Brown Is Feeling Blue is a very good book. Its about a girl named Amber Brown whose mom and dad are divorced. Her mom has a boy friend named Max. For Halloween Amber Brown makes her own costume, she decides to go as a crayon. The next morning her mom and herself over slept.

At school there was a new kid in class her name was Kelly Green
her teacher wanted Amber to show her around the school. At lunch they stopped by the nurses office for an emergency toothbrush. When Amber Brown was done Kelly watched another kid barf so Kelly barfed to. When Amber went home her mom said they might go to Walla Walla Washington for Thanksgiving. But her dad calls and askes if she wants to spend Thanksgiving with him in New York. What will happen? Read the book to find out. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Watch out for some topics discussed
My 1st grader was assigned this book to read. She could read the book fine, but the contents is definitely for the older kids. The book talks about divorce, parents with boyfriends, masacre of Barbies, bras... definitely not appropriate for the younger crowd. The other problem of course is she can read it fine, but doesn't follow the story because the topics are for more mature kids. I'm sure there are other books at this same reading level with less mature topics.

4-0 out of 5 stars I`m not happy with my grades or my parents
Imagine your divorced parents are starting to date new people. Would it bother you so much that it would affect your grades? That's exactly what happens to Amber Brown.I enjoy all of the Amber Brown books. Her life is interesting and her problems are believable. I can't wait to read more about Amber and her family.
I recommend this book to kids that like funny, true to life stories. I think this book would be enjoyed by ages 8 to 80.

4-0 out of 5 stars Amber Rocks!
I have read alot of Amber Brown books and this is my favorite so far. She a normal girl and learns to handle things-I really like to read about her!

5-0 out of 5 stars Amber Brown Wants Extra Credit
This is a girl named Amber. Her mom and dad are divorced. The BIG problem is that Amber's mom gets a new boyfriend! The new boyfriend's name is Max. Amber is afraid that Max is going to take her dad's place.

It was Amber's moms BIRTHDAY! Amber spent all her money. She didn't even have a cent. So she gave her mom Amberion certificates, five of them. Amberion certificates are paper with Amberion on them and the person that it's written to. Amberion certificates makes Amber do things that she does not want to. Example when she does not want to clean her room. Another example, she does not want to go out to dinner.

In the end, Amber's dad gets a new girlfriend.

5-0 out of 5 stars This is one of the best Amber Brown books I read!!
Amber Brown is not doing well in school because she is mad about her parents divorce and her Mom dating a new guy. Amber aksed her teacher if she could get extra credit to help her grades. Her teacher said no, but Amber tried anyway. Read the book to find out what happens!! I think 3rd and 4th graders will really enjoy this book along with the other Amber Brown adventures. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars AMBER BROWN GOES FOUTH
I think you should read that book . Her mom gots a friend and Amber don't like it at all. She's mad because Justin move away. The first day of school she knew she had a new best friend. That's why you need to read that book.

4-0 out of 5 stars Amber Brown Goes Forth
This is a wonderful book. Amber is entering the fourth grade with all of the normal concerns. Along with this, she is also upset about her best friend, Justin, moving away, and her father and mother being divorced. Amber is able to meet a new girl the first day and decides that she will have a new best friend and life does go on. This is a quick, easy read and one that can be read out loud as well.

4-0 out of 5 stars L.Newman
This entertaining book was an easy read and provided much pleasure. Amber Brown is nervous about starting fourth grade, misses her best friend who just moved away, and would love to have her Dad living at home again. These issues are apparent throughout the whole story. Her dad calls her before the first day of school and at the end of the day to let her know that he too wishes he could be there but the divorcee makes this impossible. The usual fourth grade things happen the first day (teasing, armpit noises, who went where for vacation, etc.) in school and Amber is able to make a new friend. They are placed in detention together due to their excessive giggling. Amber is able to realize that life does go on. The illustrations compliment the text in their simplicity and originality. At one point, Amber writes what she wants her new teacher to know about her and it is done in a child like scroll. This is the third book in the series and worth reading. I highly recommend this book.

5-0 out of 5 stars One of my five favorite books.
I just love this book!!! Amber Brown dosen't want to enter fourth grade. Her best friend,Justin, moved to Alamba. Her teacher is Mrs. Holt. She's okay, but she's nothing like Amber's third-grade teacher, Mr. Cohen. Amber Brown needs a new best friend. Her new best friend is Brandi Colwin. Buy this book! You'll love it!!

5-0 out of 5 stars A great book about Amber Brown.
Everyone should read this book! Amber Brown dosen't want to go to fourth grade. She has everthing she needs for school: new pencils, new notebooks, new sneakers--exect a new best friend. But then she has a new best friend. Her new best friend is a girl who likes hair beading. ... Read more

Book Description

Amber Brown loves the holidays. The shopping, the wrapping, the unwrapping. She isn't having any trouble with gifts, but life is another story. She's so happy her dad has moved back to New Jersey, but her mom isn't. It means the beginning of shared custody, and that means more fighting. Amber feels as if half of her belongs to her mom and half of her belongs to her dad, and that doesn't feel good at all.

Then her mom says she can't get her ears pierced, but her dad doesn't know that. Amber makes a decision. Something has to belong to her, so why shouldn't it be her ears?

Full of the fun, humor, and punny dialogue Paula Danziger's famous for, this is a winning entry in the ever-popular series.

Praise for the Amber Brown series:

"Upbeat, authentic and humorous..."--School Library Journal (starred review)

5-0 out of 5 stars A Great Book!
This book is fun for kids of all ages! This Amber Brown book is about a girl named Amber Brown and she wants to get her ears pierced, but her mom does not allow her to. So, since her parents are divorced, Amber's dad gets to take Amber anywher she wants. So, her father took her to get her ears pierced but her father didn't know that her mom had said no. So, when Amber got home, she got in trouble. Kids should read this book, I think, around Christmas because it takes place near Christmas. The author's message is to not do things you are not allowed to do.

4-0 out of 5 stars I Amber Brown is a Blast
I have read other Amber Brown books and looked forward to reading this one. She is pretty cool. Sometimes I think she has more brains than the adults, especially her mom, who sometimes seems very spoiled and selfish for an adult. This is a funny true to life on target book. If you haven't discovered Amber Brown, this is the one.

5-0 out of 5 stars A great book!
I bought this book for my daughter to read during X'mas break. I soon as she started reading the first page, she could not put this book down. She laughed the whole time. 5-0 out of 5 stars Aftermath of Divorce
Amber Brown is a nine year old fourth grader whose parents have recently gotten divorced. If this were not enough, she also is dealing with her parents new social life. While she is visiting her dad's for the weekend, he decides to leave her at home to go on a date. In addition, her mom is getting remarried. And to top it all off, Amber is going to have to move from the house that she loves and has lived in all of her life to another house possibly in another town. All of these changes in Amber's life cause her to wish for a normal family. At times she is envious of her friend's families who seem to have it all together. Throughout the book we see a child who is dealing with the effects of a divorce and we are introduced to the many feelings she encounters with this major change. This is the first book in the Amber Series that I have read so far. I was impressed with the way Paula Danziger deals with the sensitive subject of divorce in a way that a child could relate to. I believe that this book could be invaluable to other children who are facing the issue of divorce and the changes that this brings. I also feel that this book is an excellent book for educators as well as parents to read in order to understand how divorce affects us all.

5-0 out of 5 stars Amber Brown's parents seem set on making her life difficult
In Amber Brown Is Green With Envy, Amber Brown's parents seem set on making her life difficult; from a father who goes on dates instead of being with her to a mother who wants to visit Disneyland - without her. Then her mother decides to marry Max and move them to a new house - and Amber can only envy friends who seem to lead a quieter, more stable life. Another fine Amber Brown dilemma builds.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best of the Amber Brown series
This was a funny but very realistic story about a 9-year-old child dealing with the upheaval of divorce. It depicts parents arguing with each other in front of their child, moving away from the child's original house, the child into tears at school, a parent dating and neglecting the child during their weekend of custody, etc. I thought this was the best of the series. My daughter started reading these books in the 2nd grade just after her father and I split up. She's in the 8th grade now, and I'm still recommending that she read this one because it deals with relevant topics in a humorous way. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT FOR EARLY READER
... I found this book perfect for an early reader. The repition is exactly what an early reader needs to reinforce their reading skills and also helps reinforce the concepts being introduced.

1-0 out of 5 stars A Plodding Oater
I once heard someone describe a dull western movie as a "plodding oater." OK, so this is not a western adventure, but the description fits.

Every now and then, I run across a children's book that challenges my sanity. This one qualifies. Perhaps some children have the tenacity to finish books that repeat, and repeat, and repeat words, phrases, and ideas over and over. Perhaps all of this repetition reinforces reading skills. Well, I could not finish the book and my daughter was bored to sleep before we could get past the halfway point. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Every Else's Parents Said Yes
The book that I am reading is Everyone Else's Parents Said Yes by Paula Danziger. This story was very humorous The part I liked best was when Matthew sister was asking her parents if she could get plastic surgery, because her ears were lopsided. She also asked her parents if she was allowed to get contacts, because her face looked weird with glasses. Anyone who would like to read a humorous book should try this one and see if you agree with me that it's a great story.

3-0 out of 5 stars Disappointing
I choose "Everybody Else's Parents Said Yes" to be the first book of a new, middle school Mother-Daughter Book Club I was starting at my daughter's school. I choose it primarially based on Paula Danzinger's other works I had heard of, & because my daughter thought it looked good. Overall, I thought it was disappointing & not up to Paula's usual standard, but it did have flashes of strength, & got better as the story progressed. Parts of it seemed dated as well. The girls enjoyed the sibling interactions, & said that parents often did seem that way to them! As a group, we gave it a fairly low rating, because no girl wanted to spend her own money on it.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Brief Review
I thought this book was very comical and realistic because you can tell by the author's writing that she must have had siblings. The way the brother and sister argue is amazing because it shows you how brothers and sisters really act together. The story had its ups and downs, but from my point of view I thought the book was cute and funny. I enjoyed the way Matthew Martin had problems with being rude and obnoxious to the sixth grade girls. I think that the author must have reread this book over and over a million times because she liked it so much. I know I would. This book is mostly about a boy who thinks that his parents have to be like everyone else's parents, but soon Matthew Martin learns that it is great to have parents different from everyone else's.

5-0 out of 5 stars I said, "Yes"!
I read a book called "Everybody Else's Parents said Yes". It was a great book!It had many fresh, new ideas. It's about a boy in his sixth grade year and his adventures with the girls of G.E.T. H.I.M., and the tormenting of his older sister Amanda. It also involves a fight between Matthew and his mother over junkfood vs. health food. This was an all-around five star book. I would recommend this book to people of all ages! --MS
