Faithful Retelling of the Animated Movie
Our favorite Disney characters people(?) this version of the Dickens classic. Mickey is the poor but honest Bob Cratchit, and Scrooge McDuck, Donald`s miserly uncle is the only choice for you-know-who. The text adroitly transforms an entire movie into a few short pages, creating a palatable version for young children. The devilish version of Christmas Future, featuring Goofy`s bullyish neighbor, probably has more meaning to little ones than the Grim Reaperish version. Great for Pooh loving artitsts
The book begins with a brief, helpful introduction to the basics of drawing a cartoon head using lines and circles. Turn the page and you will find the entire cast of characters lined up side by side. This page is a handy reference when drawing two or more characters together, because you can easily see everyone's size in relation to each other. From this point on, the book gives step by step instructions for drawing each member of the Hundred Acre Woods. In the margins are helpful hints that point out subtle characteristics that may go unnoticed, but would ruin the picture if drawn wrong; such as the shape of Christopher Robin's eyes, the hair on the back of Rabbit's head, and of course, Eeyore's tail. Toy Story The Offical Novelization
Toy story The Offical Novelization was a great book it had the Spirit of the film captured in it. The Photos were GREAT! They were limited on the Mutant toys photos which i like! It's a great novel Buy if you can I got my copy from Value Village so its pretty rare But overall great book!

A nice companion book on the classic Disney film.
Another good book on a Disney classic. Full of wonderfull drawings, sketches and animation concepts and background designs. I always buy the "Art of" books Disney puts out on each of their new films. It's always a treat to see how concepts of characters and backgrounds changed as they went along. Sometimes for the better, and sometimes not. Being an artist myself, I always enjoy seeing the drawings of the rough animation and characters studies. It's nice that they included some photos of the original source material from China in the front of the book. This again shows how far Disney's team goes to research a subject. The information and research shows up on the screen. And besides, the books pretty cheap, so you can't go wrong. My only complaint is that it could have been a slightly bigger book page wise.

not that good
When i first got the book along with the other books that i ordered... I was personally hoping for a book nothing more as was expected....the book ended up being a coloring book with a few activities like mazes. I would reccomend it to any child that loves to color but not for someone purily wanting to read a book to a child going to sleep. ... Read more

What's for Lunch?
This book has excellent illustrations and bright colors. My 11 month old really loves the pictures of the bugs. All of the bugs look so real and neat poking through all of the pages. She just loves being able to touch the bugs. In this book, Timon tells Simba about what all the bugs taste like and how they sound (crunch). Your child will find that the "wriggly yellow ones taste like chicken", and the "spicy green ones are the best". If any one in your family is a "Disney" fan, this is a must have for your collection. This book is easy for any young reader to read. Personally, I can hardly wait for my daughter to be able to tell me how the bugs sound and how they taste. We highly recommend this book.

I like this book very much, but it's not as much of a favorite for the 2 year olds that I bought it for. They enjoy the board books more. I think part of the problem is the funky type that the words are written in. The other part may be that I'm willing to let younger hands be rougher with board pages than I am with paper pages.
