Book Description

Pippin & Peanut is a story of what life would be like if you found yourself inadvertently transported into a computer with no clue if you could (or would) ever return to the "real" world. It is a fantasy that brings readers young and old into another dimension, and unwraps the mysteries of what might actually happen when one travels (literally!) within the World Wide Web. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Whatever happened to Pippin?
Well I just read this book and all I want to know is WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

And will there be another book ever?

I hope so.

5-0 out of 5 stars Pippin and Peanut Rule!
This is really a great story, and it is full of funny characters and interesting places. After reading it, I wanted to go on an adventure myself. Traveling through the internet sounds fun and exciting. Maybe one day it will really happen.

5-0 out of 5 stars Hurray for Pippin and Peanut ! ! !
My teacher read this book aloud to us. We read one or two chapters every day, and I couldn't wait for the next one to start! I loved the characters. They seemed like real people even though they were animals. I think this was one of the most fun books I ever read, and everybody else in my class thought so too. You MUST read this book!

4-0 out of 5 stars Pippin and Peanut: An Adventure for All
Arthur Forst and Renee Patterson have crafted an enjoyable tale with colorful and engaging characters. Children will find the ever-curious Pippin the mouse to be cute and will sympathize with Peanut's efforts to lead her friend back out from within the Internet. Kids will like the interesting and comical situations in which Pippin finds himself and the animals he encounters.

For adults reading to their kids, as I do every evening with my daughter, Forst and Patterson keep up the pace and I found the book quite enjoyable as well. I laughed aloud more than a couple of times. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Barbie Friends
Our family loves this book. The sentences are nicely written to encourage reading skills and stories are for and about little girls who love Barbie to encourage finishing the challenge of reading the whole book. Amy and Michelle are good friends to each other, and as I have found with any Barbie story, Barbie is a good role model: fun, wholesome, encouraging... The main story line is two best friends who are going to be in different classes at school the next year. They are feeling sad, so to cheer themselves up they visit Barbie.com, when they do that they are invited to take a virtual tour or a real tour if Barbie's Home. They accept and find themselves right with Barbie. They have a fun afternoon with visitng Barbie's horse and playing ball topped of by Strawberry smoothies in Barbie's kitchen. Barbie helps them understand that even if they are in different classes they can be friends by relating her own experience when Midge had moved away while they were in school. The girls go home and are much encouraged. All in all, it's a great story, and who wouldn't want to visit Barbie? ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars ...
This is a great novel for teen girls. It is mysterious, suspenseful and features christianity and bible verses as well as an incredibly nice character. She was too nice,WAAAAy too nice, for her own good. That guy who was angry because she didn't let him cheat off his paper...you'll never know how badly I wanted to see his teeth knocked out.Well, ahem anyway, who is threatening Treesap(I mean Amber :) ) viae-mails?

5-0 out of 5 stars Stranger Online
I'm doing my book review on Stranger Online by: Carol Smith. It's about these six girls who make a WebSite out of a chat room called TodaysGirls.com.It is Ambers job to make a password that only she knows. Until one day her world turns upside down.Amber goes home and finds threatening e-mails which say I'm coming.Amber begins to get very scared and courious. So if you want to find out if Amber ever finds out who is doing these thing then check out Stranger Online.

4-0 out of 5 stars stranger online
i loved this book! it really got me hooked to the todaysgirls.com series. i like amber because she is very smart and computer-wise. then she starts getting creepy e-mails. amber suspects jake, her sort-of friend from chemistry class. jake has also been cheated on her during testing, so amber starts turning in her tests unfinished. can she find a way to solve both problems at once?
this is my 2nd favorite book in the series. it really gives you a good feel of the girls`s personalities, unlike the other books. don`t miss it!

5-0 out of 5 stars Cool but the rest of the books are better
This book is about Amber and how she recives a threat email thay says:
"You'll get yours" and she gets another one that has another threat. Even though it sounds extremely [bad] but if you think about it you would probably freak out if you suddenly got a threat email. So this book is about Amber trying to figure out who this person is.
It's a good book but if there was more presure on Amber it would have been a better book, but I still recomend you to read it.

5-0 out of 5 stars I Love This Series!
This is the first book in a 12-book series about 6 awesome girls of today that have a web site together. In this book, a girl named Amber invents the web site. It's the beginning of a great series for teen & pre-teen girls! Even though they are supposed to be for ages 9-12, I'm 14 and I love them! I have 10 of the 12 books! ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Encourages children to sneak onto Internet
Although my daughter loves Barbie, and I have no problem with that, I was shocked to read this book to her. The girl in the story waits until the parents go to bed and gets onto the Internet so she and her friend cancommunicate with and ultimately visit Barbie.I had to tell my daughter aswe were reading the book that it wasn't okay to go onto the Internet atnight when there aren't any parents around, so that they could ask anadult's advice online, without the parents finding out.It is a prettystrange mix of fantasy and reality. As much as I think girls should beencouraged to use technology, I found this book inappropriate for my sevenyear old daughter. ... If you like mysteries and even if you dont then the Search for the Shadowman is for you! I have never liked mysteries i always thought like wow it is that person they always make them so obvious. But in this book it was great. This book was about a boy named Andy researching on his family history for a school project. After he is told not to Andy does it anyways. What did he do though? He wasnt supposed to research on his relative Coley Joe Bonner but he did any ways to find out who really killed him! This was one of the more interesting mysteries. Joan Lowery Nixon wrote many other books and since the Search for the Shadowman was so interesting i am going to go find one of her other books!Joan Lowery Nixon is the best author ever! ... 4-0 out of 5 stars A GOOD BUY
This book is wonderfully illustrated in lush colors. The text is also very clearly laid out and is obviously intended for preschoolers to identify letters and objects. My own son was able to recognize the shape of a star from the drawings. The only fault and its very minor is that Robo's favourite place turns out to be the "world wide web' somewhat worrying in view of the fact that children spend so little time in the fresh air as it is these days. I highly recommend this book nonetheless. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A very wacky and very funny book.
Jessica's mother is worried about her daughter's obsession with violent video games. So she forces Jess to visit Granny Goose's Fun Farm, an online game for kids. Jess is repulsed by the idea of playing such a disgustingly cheerful game, so she invites her best friend Matt over to show him just how bad Granny Goose's Fun Farm is. They decide to play the game together and get it over with, and find themselves it yet another twisted virtual world. They encounter rapper wannabes with TVs for heads, ride in a car made out of a giant taco, meet some fairy tale characters who have decided to come up with their own happy endings, and learn that Granny Goose is an evil villain controlling this virtual reality. Can Matt and Jess defeat Granny Goose, or will they be trapped in her world forever? Anyone looking for a good laugh would enjoy this book, especially if you are a fan of the first book about Jess and Matt. ... Read more
