Just what I expected from a Little Golden Book
I own the movie Finding Nemo and my one-year-old loves to watch the screen when it's on. She is too little to know what's going on, she's just looking at the pretty scenery. When I saw this book in stores I wanted to get it so that when she is older I can read it to her to go along with the movie. It's very short and the other reviews are correct about the lack of flow and the illustrations not being stills from the movie, but I am satisfied with this book- it's just what I wanted: a little something to go along with the movie for my daughter when she is older (and a Little Golden Book to add to her collection too), and the book does tell the story. This is fine for us.

A let down
Sotry of Nemo and Marlin does not flow well.Takes random bits and pieces from the movie (and not necessarily the best/funniest) without hitting the main highlights.Pictures are pretty cute and my toddler son likes it... I just wish the story matched the wonderful movie more closely.

Disappointed!
Someone drew all the pictures instead of taking frames from the movie. The story also didn't flow as well as the movie. They should have done better. We bought this after liking the Monsters, Inc board book. But this is a total disappointment. 0 star if there is a choice.

Terrific!
This little gem tackles some of the great childhood science questions. The simple rhyme scheme makes the information friendlier and more accessible - yet the book never talks down to the kids.

One of the professional reviews complained that this book had vocabulary that was "too sophisticated" for young children. I was annoyed by this. If you dumb everything down to what kids already know, then where will they learn new terms?

My 5-year-old enjoyed reading this book, and I enjoyed listening to her. I found the book charming and informative. For example, I didn't know that when fish are waiting out the winter, "Except for occasional / lake bottom treats / the whole winter long / the fish hardly eats!" ... Read more

Good activities for older preschoolers and school-aged kids
Although the book description says it is for babies though preschoolers, this colouring and activity book is better suited for children with basic reading, number comprehension and logic skills, such as 6-8 year olds.
