5-0 out of 5 stars Great book for beginners
What a great book! My son who is in kindergarden wanted to read a book by himself and this one is just right for him. He is so excited each time he reads it and needs less and less help each time. The gold stars add great encouragement. I highly recommend this book.

5-0 out of 5 stars My son just loves this book...
My son, who is 3, "reads" this book every night before bed. I had originally read it to him, but now he's got it memorized, so he "reads" it himself. I love the book for the simplicity of the story and the rhythm of rhyming. I plan on buying this entire series. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent story line.
I have searched and searched for the just the right books for my kindergartner. This series of books have been perfect. This book has a very good story, which has been hard to find in beginning reader books. It also has a reward for reading the book, evey time you read it you put a gold star (which are provided with the book) on the inside front cover. This has been a great incentive for my son to read the book and read it again. The words are just on the level of a beginning reader but it also has a very good story. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun Reading
Every day before napping and bedtime, my 18-month old son always picks this book for us to read together. As we read through each page, he loves to point out all of the characters and what each is doing. This is an excellent companion to the Little People Fire Truck and helps explain to small children what a fire truck is for and what firefighters do. Another reading favorite is (Fisher Price) Bob's Bob's Shiny Dump Truck. ... Read more
