5-0 out of 5 stars Simply the Best
I used this book and the beanbags to learn to juggle two years ago. The book is lots of fun and the beanbags are easy to learn with. I have moved to rings, clubs, torches, and even toilet brushes(new in the store), but I keep coming back to the beanbags for an easy break or to learn new tricks.

You can't beat the value of the Klutz products [another website] for juggling.

4-0 out of 5 stars Some design flaws can't mar great instruction
The book will do what the liner notes suggest: teach a complete klutz how to juggle. By taking the book's instruction, someone who's never picked up a juggling ball in their lives can learn the basics quickly. The inclusion of bean bags adds significant value to the product. For a genuinely modest price, you can give someone the complete ability to start juggling immediately.

But it fails novice jugglers in at least two ways. Most importantly, it's not really made to be used while you're trying to juggle. It's too small to lay flat on a table. Other juggling books know that you need to read them WHILE you're juggling and so have either ring-bound them or made them magazine size. Also, I'm not crazy about the illustrations. Sometimes they're clear enough, but often, the black and white printing of line drawings doesn't really show you where your juggling objects should be in three dimensions.

Still, this fault is more than made up for by an engaging, clear writing style. The instructions are highly understandable, and the text is large enough to read from a distance. Thus, though I think the book could do with a few, essentially cosmetic changes, it's a great first step.

5-0 out of 5 stars You can juggle...
This book is the best way to learn how to juggle. I've looked at other book's sections on learning the basics, but they don't compare to this book. After a very detailed section on learning the basics on how to juggle (with will take from hours to days to actually do), the book tells you how to do a few tricks, as well as juggling 4 balls, 5 balls, and clubs. And best of all, it comes with free juggling bean bags that are really well made (I still have mine 10 years later).

The only problem with the book is that once you learn everything in the book, there isn't any tips after that besides from telling you that anything works and be creative. I did learn how to do everything described in the book (besides from juggling 5 balls), and I found that once you learn everything in it, the Complete Juggler by Dave Finnigan is a nice book to teach you more stuff once you learn the basics from this book.

5-0 out of 5 stars Juggling For the Complete Klutz
This is such a great book to learn to juggle with. One night i decided i wanted to be able to juggle so i bought this book. In a matter of days i had learned to juggle. It was GREAT. It does take practice, but if you put some effort into it you will get. I would highly recomend this book to anyone that wants to juggle.

5-0 out of 5 stars What Fun!
When I was an undergrad, a bunch of my friends and I wanted to to become Juggling Ministers. We spent ten bucks on minister licenses from an ad in the back of Rolling Stone and then we learned how to juggle. We were a hit on campus that year. Anyway, this was the book that taught us how to juggle. We spent hours with this book and learning how to juggle. It was great fun.

It starts off with a bang. The first lesson is to drop the bags right on the floor. Get used to it, because you'll be doing a lot of that when you first start learning.

The writing is humorous. And best of all it works like a charm.
Very easy if you keep at it. I can now juggle four things at a time and haven't lost a step. Once you learn, it is difficult to forget. Highly recommended! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars good memories
Three of the mazes in this book gave me great comforting dreams when I was sick as a child. It is 10 years later now, and those pages still make me feel good. Also, the mazes range from extremely easy to extremely difficult ... I still have not been able to solve #3 without looking at the answer page.

4-0 out of 5 stars great book for kids!
This is a fun book for kids. My own little ones love the eye-appealing pictures, the not-so-hard puzzles, the extra find on every page, and the great variety of mazes. I'm currently looking for more of the same, by request!

4-0 out of 5 stars Things Have Changed a Bit
I bought this book because I have so many memories of playing many of these games when I was a little girl, and I wanted to share that experience with my child.

I was a little disappointed because many of the words are quite different from how I learned them. But it is probably unreasonable for me to expect anything different.

If you can get past the fact that these games aren't 100 percent identical to how you played them as a child, you'll find this to be a really helpful guide.

4-0 out of 5 stars Brings back memories!
This books certainly brings back memories of games played on the playground at recess. Although some of the words are different than I learned them, as expected for such widely used rhymes, I recognized quite a few. One disappointment was that there is no indication of the music to go with each rhyme. The authors did not provide an indication of the notes to sing or even that it sounds like a common song. Also, there are some lyrics that are inappropriate for young children and others that are very sexist or condescending. This book is not for everyone and I would certainly not hand it to a young reader without editing it or carefully supervising the language used by the children. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars If you like Kate, then the book is for you.
This book is a great view of the behind the scene Kate Moss, as well as top photos from some of the most celebrated photographers on the planet. The diversity of images as only Kate can pull off. She does nudity or full blown fashion dress like no other. She isn't just another face, she is THE face. The photos in the book are of surprising quality for the cost of it. I recommend this book for all Kate fans, and all fans of great photography.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent pictures of one of the greatest models.
I really enjoyed this book and think that anyone who is interested in fasion or modeling should look at it because it is wonderful picturs and because Kate is such a goodmodel she can look good in a variety of styles.Kate moss can easily change her look from grunge to glamour. This book contains some of the best pictures of Kate Moss I've ever seen.

5-0 out of 5 stars sensational!
kate: the kate moss book is the best retrospective of kate moss's work up until 1995, when it was released. it's packed with images of kate from birth to the age of twenty-one. there are pictures shot at home, by the papparazi, and for magazines and clothing companies. the book includes many never-before-seen photos of kate, especially those taken by corrine day of the face magazine between 1989 (when kate was only fifteen) and 1992. there are nudes, glamour shots, and pictures of kate doing what she is best at, being herself. there are also photos of fellow supermodels christy turlington and naomi campbell. basically, this book is phenomenal and if you can buy it, i strongly recommend you do.

5-0 out of 5 stars A BEAUTIFUL BOOK
To celebrate her 21st birthday, supermodel Kate Moss published a collection of her own favourite modelling photos in the book Kate. Dispelling an unjust myth that the body-beautiful people have nothing much up top, Kate was actively involved with the project, overseeing every stage of the book from conception through proofing stages until the book signing blitz on publication day. She has also written a witty and perceptive introduction outlining her reasons about publishing the pictorial autobiography. I was lucky enough to interview Kate at her luxurious London hotel where I found the down-to-earth British girl to be friendly, sincere and utterly charming. And without any of the airs and graces often associated with stars thrust into the spotlight at such a young age. Here's what Kate told me about her book...
Did the publishers want her to have more editorial input in addition to the introduction and picture captions?
'I'm sure they would have wanted more biographical material, but I just wanted pictures. At my age [an autobiography] would be just slightly premature. I see the concept on another level: as a retrospective, not necessarily of my work, but of six years of changing fashions, and the work of some of the best photographers in the business.'
Did she feel lucky to have, what in effect, is a record of her life in pictures - almost like a photo album?
'It's really nice. My friend said that it's such a nice thing to have of your friend. I wouldn't mind having books of all my friends. I'll be proud to show mine to my children.'
Would she like to write an autobiography one day?
'No, not yet. Maybe when I'm an old lady of 70 or even 80. The only writing I've ever done is in my journal. When I'm on planes I like to jot down how I'm feeling at the time. I travel a lot and I like to document my impressions of different countries and cultures. And, of course, I was famous when I was younger for writing love letters! I wrote lots but only ended up sending a few of them. I would open the envelope and re-read them, and think, "I'm not sending that!" How I cringe at the memory of them now.'

5-0 out of 5 stars Incredible
I loved it, it's fantastic. I'm a big fan of Kate and never before have I seen a more complete and extraordinary scrapbook of Kate's pictures. Kate is without a doubt the most beautiful woman that has ever posed for the camera. A must have for true Kate Moss fans. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars This book is SO much fun! I can do it OVER & OVER again!
This is such a cute and FUN book! It's filled with really cute pictures and quizzes that help you learn more about you and your friends. You can do it with friends or by yourself. Either way, you'll definetely have fun. I GUARANTEE that! This book even has a quiz so you can find out what breed of dog you'd be if you were one. That one is of my favorite quizzes. In fact, I loved all of 'em. For those who already have the first Quiz Book, you'll love this as much if not more! :)

4-0 out of 5 stars Number 1 was A ,or B?
I really liked this book! It's fun to share with your friends, and it is has good illustrations. I don't want to write in this book, and it's kind of confusing trying to find out your score. If you really liked the first book, The Quiz Book, then this is a must have.

3-0 out of 5 stars A,B,C,D, what should I choose?
This book is good if you enjoy personality quizzes but the answers are predictable and and it is really short, but I liked the questions, even though they didn't address many subjects I would've liked it to,,

5-0 out of 5 stars If you want to know yourself better and your friends
I love this book! I totally love any American Girl book, but this is one of my favorites. I got to know myself a lot better. I like the illustrations. It's very colorful and kooky. Also, by knowing myself better, I can make myself better. For example, I thought I was ready to have a pet. But, I really wasn't, but the book gave me good advice on how I can become ready for a pet. My friends and I used this book at our slumber party. We got to know each other much better! By using this book, you know your fashion style better, if you're a smart money saver, if you're brave enough, or have good manners. I highly recommend this book to any American Girl fans or just any girl who wants to know herself better.

4-0 out of 5 stars Look and Learn
This is the 2nd book in this series I have purchased. This is a great book, though I prefer the World Tour book over this one. This is mostly because I was expecting something else.I was expecting a book detailing events in history. This book goes though various times in history:

Early people - 15,000 B.C.
First Farmers
Living in Cities
Pyramids
Going into Battle
At the market
The Bath House
Winter Feasts
Village Life
Castle Life
Inca Homes
A Chinese Party
Indian Wedding

Busy Ports
At the Ball
Factory Town
Prairie Homes
Deparment Stores - 1930's

The book is well done - colorfully illustrated and fun for all ages - from my 4 and 9 year old, to myself! Each page has about 20 things for you to find, in a search and find style, and a short description or explanation of each item and how it relates to the time period. All in all, it's an excellent series!

5-0 out of 5 stars Entertaining along with educational!
This series is wonderful.Very entertaining for children to find the picture but the education that goes along with this is magnificent! The Great History Search leaves hours of entertainment for the entire family and really sparks the History curiosity in the child. This book is my 10 year olds favorite in the series. The illustrations are very detailed and get those little minds thinking.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun and also instructive
Detailed illustrations of lives of people in various periods. Illustrations are quite fun to see. Close up of characteristic figures are closed up with descriptions.

I bought this book for my 10-year-old son, who loves to play "Age of Empire" and becomes curious abouthistory. He loves it because of the closed up pictures even though he can'tread English yet. The illustrations convey the atmosphere of each age well. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Skits from this book solve summer doldrums.
This book is a mother's dream. Easy to read, simply organized, and quickly put into action for an afternoon of great fun. I tried 3 of these skits on my own kids and they loved it. One skit calls for placing a raisin, posing as a fly, on a table. The first child comes in, pretends to take off the wings, and leaves. The second child comes in, pretends to remove the legs, and leaves. The third child comes in, utters aloud that it looks like a raisin, and eats it. The groans and giggles from the child actors and the audience were priceless! There are dozens of more tasteful skits and clever ones, too, along with the gross ones that kids like. A fine way to involve kids creatively without much preparation required. ... Read more
