I remember it vividly as a backdrop of my childhood. The illustrations were so vivid, and the story so beautiful to hear. I had to have this book back in my life!!!

Great book for children
I have an autistic child, with a limited vocabulary. He was given his first copy of this book when he was three. Since then we have worn one copy out and are starting on our second copy. It has help him with his speech, maybe because we read it almost every night. He will come to me and ask for Hooper, which he calls the book, and every time we come to the word Hooper he will say it. He dearly loves this book and I happen to know that my great-neice and nephew also like this book. I think that this is because of its ryhming qualities. I feel that this book is one of the better books ever written by Dr. Seuss for children.

this book shows how you can include everyone in everything and have one of the best times of your life. Its a good book to teach of the the life lessons

Poor Hooper Humperdink
This is a child's fantasy about what his birthday party could be. We don't know why Hooper Humperdink shouldn't come, and I felt sorry for the little guy as he hung around the periphery and watched the hundreds of other children swarm to this fantastic party. Fortunately, the party giver forgives Hooper for his failings and invites him after all. Phew!

This is an alphabet book in disguise because the guest list is written in alphabetical order. Children whose names are featured will get an extra lit bit of joy when they get to read their name, especially if it's an unusual one. My daughter is in there, so I know this. :-)

Poor Hooper Humperdink
It was alright of a book. I thought it was kind of sad how the narrator did now want to invite Hooper but invited everyone else from A to Z. It was pretty cute how they went through the alphabet when naming the kids who were invited. In the end he ends up having a change in heart and invites Hooper Humperdink. I liked the illistrations, they were very colorful and detailed. If your younger sibling or child is learning the alphabet, then this is the book to read to them. ... Read more

Muy buen cuento para ninos
My two daughters have absolutely loved this book. They loved making the animal sounds as the baby bird encountered each new animal! Very educational and extremely engaging!

Good book for bilingual couples to read to their child.

El Gato Cabizbajo
Deservedly out of print. The spanish translation does not do justice to the story, being a literal word-by-word translation that destroys the rhythmic, poetic character of Seuss's classic. Likely to make a child think English is fun, lively language and Spanish a dull, pedantic one.

A Terrific Math Start
Just bought this fun workbook for my five year old. It is funny, has great artwork and really got her interested in addition. She has a knowledge of simple addition, but this book explains in easy terms that 3 + 1 = 4, is sometimes 1 + 3 = 4. Also helped to explain the concept of zero. The book has places for the children to write in the answers, therefore getting used to writing out numbers. A great learning experience.

Wonderful learning tool
I found this workbook in an airport shop during a 3 hour delay...it was wonderful. My children were so excited and eager to learn. The workbook has areas to practice writing the numbers and then keeps them eager to practice while connecting the right # to the set (also great about learning sets), then filling in the number to correct sets and also then uses stickers to complete the sets.
