Construction Zone Obsession
Construction Zone is the first "truck book" that I purchased for my son. I bought it for him when he was about 15 months. It is by far his favorite book.I need to purchase another one because the pages have been taped so many times.The only problem that I would have with the book is the quality of paper. It's not really sturdy for the age group that reads it.But I also should consider the HEAVY use that our copy receives.The photographs in it are perfect and it names each piece of equipment.It's a very basic book that shows all the basic construction equipment along with a garbage truck.I think it is a fine purchase.

Wheels and Axels
In a very easy-to-understand fashion, this book explains one type of simple machine to children.Each page has a definition of the more difficult new words (like "friction") that help reinforce the new concepts being taught.I read this book to my 3 1/2 year old twins tonight.While they won't grasp the concepts as well as an older child would, they pointed out the wheels and axels on toy cars, a toy dump truck, and a wagon which proved that they understood more than I would have imagined.I'm now encouraged to read the rest of the series to them to further encourage the never ending thirst for knowledge they have at this age of their lives. ... Diggers has a mistake!
This is a really cool book, but it has a mistake! It says diggers have crawler tracks, then on the next page, it shows a different kind of a machine- not even a digger. I wanted to write to the author, but we can't find that address. But besides that, it is a great book. ... Read more
