This book is not for Children who believe in Santa Claus
This book was written on a third grade reading level.I am a professional educator from Texas and I read it with my twin 7 year olds two weeks before Christmas(The characters in this book are also 7 year olds).Early in the book a child was being teased about believing in Santa Claus. I was surprised, but felt sure that toward the end of the book Ms. Delton would some how tie in that there really was a Santa Claus, so she wouldn't ruin a timeless tradition of many people.Imagine my surprise when she did the exact opposite!One child tells the other-Santa Claus isn't real he is really your mom and dad and the boy responds by saying, I know, but it is more fun to pretend you beleive.I think it was irresponsible of Ms. Delton to write a Christmas story on a Third grade reading level (this is also the grade that I teach) and to tell millions of children everywhere that Santa Claus isn't real.It is my job as a parent to make the decision as to whether my children participate in the believe of Santa Claus.I expected my chlidren would find out that Santa was not real, but never in my wildest dreams did I think they would find out from a library book!...
The book is a good book, but the content is not apporpiate for the age level in which it is written.This is why I rated it so low!

Written very well; some content questionable
A Pee Wee Christmas by Judy Delton is written very well and is very interesting to children. It comes from a great series of books for children.

This book is not appropriate for children who still believe inSanta Claus. It brings up the question of if there really is a Santa Claus.A boy who still believes gets laughed at.

cute book
We read this in our homeschool as a fiction read aloud.My son who is seven enjoyed hearing the book.He liked hearing about the scouts adventures.I'm sure we will be reading more Pee Wee Scout books soon.

MRS. PETER'S IS REALLY FUNNY.

Critique of Lucky Dog Days
Lucky Dog Days was a fantastic book.This book is about some kids who try toassist homeless dogs and cats.So they go to a selter to nurture cats and dogs.Later they conclud to have a rummage sale. they sold dogs and other people garbage.they earned 1 thousand dallors.At the end ofthe bookthey get a puppy for a mascot.They named the puppylucky because he's lucky to to be there mascot instead of going to the pound.my favorite section of the book is when Molly keeps saying rats knees.

Grumpy Pumpkins
This is a touching book about the Pee Wee Scouts and the good deeds they do at Halloween.The Pee Wee's and their leader, Mrs. Peters, have fun visiting a Pumpkin farm, picking out their own pumpkin, creating and making their halloween costumes, and visiting a nursing home.Find out the lesson Molly learns about Grumpy Pumpkins!This is one of my favorite Judy Delton books. I like the way Delton uses scouts as a theme for her books instead of athletics.It shows young children how there are many activities, other than sports, that they can participate in and enjoy.The text has humor, as well as a serious side, that combine to grab the attention of the young reader.The illustrator uses black and white, cartoon-like, sketches throughout the book that add humor and fun to the text. ... LOTS OF FUN WITH THE PEE WEE SCOUTS
I am 7 years old and am in the second grade. I read this book for DEAR Time which means Drop Everything and Read. I liked it alot. I liked Kevin the most. He is the funniest Pee Wee Scout. It only took me 2 days to read.I can't wait to read the next book. I want to get all of the Pee Wee Scoutbooks. Stephen, Waldorf, Maryland Stephen enjoys the Pee Wee Scout books.
