5-0 out of 5 stars It was great!
I haven't read a book like this since the neverending story and these books are better. John Peel can always make you believe he's narrarating all the characters by himself. Unlike another of my favorite writers,K.a. Applegate who writes the Animorphs. I loved how he made the humans and unicorns talk with telepathy.I also loved how sneaky he made Sarman. And how he made the Trinity and those sneaky evil canniving Shadows. Well thats all I have to say besides: TRY TO READ THEM ALL!!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars This is a great book!
Everyone, this book sums everything up. The evil wizard Sarman is trying to control the Diadem with his model but needs Score, Renald, and Pixel to complete it. Will they stop him and reclaim the Diadem For good, or will evil rein? Plus if you put all the books next to each other, #1 first all they way to #6, they form a cool picture, of what happens in those books.

5-0 out of 5 stars If I could, I'd give these books 100 stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All the "Diadem" books are MUST READS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love the over-all plot and wonder how Peel thinks of all the wonderful stuff he puts in his books. The Helaine, Score, and Pixel have interesting traits & personalities. People that give this book under four stars are out of there mind! I LOVE JHON PEEL'S BOOKS. He MUST write more "Diadem" books!! If you liked these book you'll love "The Secret of Dragonhome!!

5-0 out of 5 stars I thought that this book was a great book
This book was a thriller. It kept you guessing at everything. The stange pictures and wird names took me many days to figure out how to solve them. I have read the first two but this one explains every thing that you would need to know. Every page brought new suspence. I would recomend this book to anyone that likes action, and magic books.

5-0 out of 5 stars I thought this book was great and action packed.
I think this book was one of the best in the series, Score, Renald, and Pixel meet with unicorns named Thunder, Nova, and Flame, and have to stop an evil magician, before he stops them with huge beasts made with the elements of Water, Fire, Gas, and Rock. This book and all the other books in the Diadem series are great. If you like this you'll probably like all of the other Diadem books. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars We want more
This whole series was a hit, it kept me reading and since it abruptly ends at this book (#6) I've been reading the 6 books over and over again, hoping for a change in heart by the author and a real ending, mind you that not rushing an ending in one book would be nice. Yes it is good for us, the readers, to use our imaginations a bit, but this was a complete cliff-hanger. The imagination/creativity is breath taking, never a cheezy moment. Mainly this book takes the story more towards an fantasy/horror story plot. Pixel is in trouble and of course Score/matt and renald/heliene jump right in to save him.... there seems to be little chance for sucsess.... what will happen?

4-0 out of 5 stars Fun Reading
Fun reading, great characters and an interesting twist at the end!John Peel is a good writer. The next books in the series are to be published soon.(...)

5-0 out of 5 stars absoloutely wonderfu;
i loved the whole Diadem series so much when i was 10 and i started rereading it again and i still definately adore it even though im now 15. i was so mad when i found that this book was his last book in the series. i really want him to make at least one other book i mean he has to the cover picture still isnt complete. i love these books so much.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Book; Damned Publishers
The Diadem series has been my favorite book since I was ten years old.I am now fifteen and still remember almost every little detail. To bad he finished the series so abruptly, right?

Then again, he didn't.John Peel has written the seventh book and is still working on book eight. The only reason why the series is not sold in stores is because the publishing companies refuse to publish the new books, saying that it did not sell well enough to make more, and they discontinued the already published ones.

I found a website that has a petition that you can sign to put the books back on the market as well as the seventh and eighth. The site is:

Diadem FanZone--The Book Series Lives On

5-0 out of 5 stars No words. . . .
Of all the series that I have ever read, this has to be one of my all time favorites.I started to read the Diadem series as a book report for one of my reading classes.I believe I was around 12, maybe 13 years of age.I loved the first book and I became hooked on the many sequals.I am now 16 years old and I still read the Diadem series. The characters are so well thought of, as are the villains.I was very disappointed when there were no more books after the sixth one, and I believe that John Peel left the ending like that so as to say, "There may be more coming!"Nothing could possibly ever end my love for the Diadem series.I would recommend these books to anyone of any age.I also recommend "The Secret of Dragonhome."I also own that and that is another of my favorite books. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars This is one of the best books I've ever read!
This is an excellent book! It's about a kid named Tristan who has to fight for his life from a super hacker. You never want to put this book down. It's the first of 6 in an excellent series. I would recommend this book to anyone.

5-0 out of 5 stars Doomsday is coming...
John Peel has created a unique and wonderfully written series for teenagers that, sadly, is not longer then six books. But while the 2099 books did not go longer then 6 books, it is one of the best series you can find for the average 9-14 reader. Tristan, an ordinary teenager, is in danger he doesn't even know about. He accesses a file he shouldn't have, and because of his mistake, the world is in unspeakable danger. His evil and devious clone,Devon,is set to destroy everything he's ever known. Tristan has to stop the catastrophe, for the future lies in the hands of his own knowledge. Until it comes to a shattering end...

5-0 out of 5 stars THE BEST SERIES EVER!
Once you read this book you will never put it down, and with such an exploding ending there is no wonder i sat down and read the whole series in a few days! The best sci-fi series ever written and a must read for everyone, keep em commin Peel! ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars I, Jedi Wannabe
Luke Skywalker tells his own story in this short, enjoyable "young readers" tale. Imagine A New Hope told in the form of "personal logs" from Star Trek and you'll have the idea. John Peel draws on such diverse materials as the radio show and the old Marvel comics to flesh out Luke's story, and takes some minor liberties with the movie itself. When all is said and done, we are presented with a Luke who must all at once deal with painful loss and grow up more quickly than anyone should have to. While this one is not as good as Princess Leia's journal, it is nevertheless worth the hour it will take to read.

5-0 out of 5 stars A wonderfull book that focuses in on what Luke thinks
I read this book one day when I was grounded and it was so sitting-on-the-edge-of-my-seat, rivetingly good that I didn't want to come out! It is written in journal form about what Luke was thinking and feeling during A New Hope, though this book spans a little before it too. This was especially interesting for me, since Luke has always been my favorite character. Part of why I loved it is that it was not simply yet another retelling of the original story, but breathed new life into it, and made it even more interesting, and considering that I have seen this movie so many times I practicly have it memerized, that is quite a feat. My one complaint of this book was that, though the character of Luke was explored deeply and in ways that few other books have, all the other characters were pretty much left out with the exception of Leia, since Luke was thinking quite a lot about her at this time. But then again, when I write in my journal I usually don't focus on other people either, and since this is supposed to be Luke's journal, that does make sense. In short, this was a wonderfull book that I would reccamend to any Star Wars fan, especially those who love Luke.

5-0 out of 5 stars I Loved this journal
This is a GREAT journal that has LOTS of of info you didn't know about Luke Skywalker. You'll really enjoy this book and/or learn something new. I bought a copy a while ago, and I have read this more than 10 times I think. You really get into the book after reading atleast the first chapter. You can also find out more about the friendship with mysterious Biggs. Strap on for one of the best journals.

4-0 out of 5 stars Journey to the darkside of the universe
In most of the Star Wars books, Luke is a trained Jedi Knight, so it's fun to read about what is essentially a kid ready to leave home, with no idea what the worlds about. Learning about death really catipults him into the realm of adulthood. He goes from being a clueless innocent imagining going on some whirlwind adventure to save a fairy princess. To becoming a young man whoose lost the parents who raised him, a mentor, and a childhood friend. It approaches that age old question, once you get what your looking for, do you really want it. And though we all know it will work out for the best in the end, you can see his emotional journey, history, and lost youth.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Detail
I think this a great account of what happens to Luke up to the time he gets his metal in the Massassi Temple. I would reccomend this book to any Star Wars fan no matter what their age is. A must have for any Star Wars fan. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
John Peel did an amazing job on this series, more importantly this book. The action, suspense, everything was amazing. He has his own unique view of the future, and he turned it into a book!! This was awesome!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars An amazing conclusion to the amazing 2099 series...
The final battle. Clone versus clone. Good versus evil. The entire world's fate hangs in the balance for both Tristan and his evil clone Devon. One of them will get out of it alive. But will Earth?

John Peel spins off the last threads of this amazing and thrilling series that have sadly been a mere 6 books. It's amazing, though, how such a short series could be one of the best series out there. 2099 is one that won't be forgotten ; the entire saga, is one that anyone must own. From

the amazing first book DOOMSDAY to the suspense- driven TRAITOR to the astonishing and surprising end of FIRESTORM, the series has its twists and turns that are unforgettable. I hope Mr.Peel continues this series somewhere later on, at least to write Books 7 and 8 which anyone can be sure they'll be amazing. What happened with 2099 is special ; only a man like Mr.Peel, and his imagination, can do that to a series.

5-0 out of 5 stars Greatest Book!
This was definitley my favorite book of the 2099 series! It is also my favorite book, ever. I hope Mr. Peel writes a 7th book! I am currently looking for his address to write him, but back to the topic, his book was wonderfull! It had every characteristic a great book should, action, hate, retribution, happiness, and love. I definitley recomend all readers to read this not sci fi, thriller!

5-0 out of 5 stars An excellant conclusion to the thrilling 2099 series.
2099 is possibly my favorite science fiction series right now, and I am sorry that this is the last book currently planned. Fortunatley, the ending leaves it open for there to be more books, if the author decides to write them. This book opens with Tristan and Genia trying to stop Tristan's evil clone, Devon, from completely destroying all life on Earth. Tristan is also threatening the moon, which has been colonized, and the government there must find a way to save everyone. And the evil organization of Quietus is trying to take over the Mars colony, where the other clone, Jame, lives. Tristan and Genia temporarily stop the destruction of Earth, but then Devon comes after them, and Mora, Tristan's ex-girlfriend, turns traitor and joins Devon. Tristan and Genia are now in the final showdown with Devon, as the fate of the world hangs in the balance. I highly reccomend the entire 2099 series. It is one of the best young adult science fiction series out there. John Peel is an excellant writer, and if you liked 2099, you'll like his other series, Diadem and The Outer Limits (inspired by the television show). ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A Review For Where In Time Is Carmen Sandiego?Part II
This is my review for Where In Time Is Carmen Sandiego?Part II, by JohnPeel, illustrated by Paul Vaccarello, and John Nez.This is a You Are TheDetective Series book. In this marvelously educational book, CarmenSandiego and her gang are traveling back in time, once again. This book isa 10-star book, because of its educational value, and it's veryentertaining.I simply loved it because of its detailed information. It'sso detailed, that I could almost SEE what was happening!I also reallyenjoyed chatting with historical people, and learning about them. It'spretty funny, too. It's pretty rare to find a really educational, entertaining, and funny book, like this one.Reading this book isdifferent than reading a regular book.To read it, you turn to indicatednumbers, look at suspect profiles, and record stuff like Travel Points, clues, etc.I think that the author, John Peel, was very imaginative inwhat the people had to say, do, and their personalities, and that made iteven more fun to read!I really, really liked it because I was the star, that means you would be.You would also choose who to question, where togo, and who to arrest. The book was really exciting.I highly recommendthis to anyone who likes mystery, adventure, and history.I loved it,mainly because of the learning, and I hope that if you buy it, you willlike it, too. Thanks for your attention. 5-0 out of 5 stars This Book Will Change Your Life
This is a fantasy you will never forget. The pages are covered with superior remembrance. The book is so wonderful, you won't put it down till the last page is read. This book has changed my life because it has taught me to never give up and keep trying. Like when Score, Pixel and Renald, (the main characters), were stuck in a jail cell and kept on trying to get out. They couldn't figure out a way, but they kept on trying. They tried climbing out the window, but it was too small and too high. They tried to melt the lock by combining their powers but they found out their powers weren't strong enough, yet, to melt the lock. So they took some hay and stuffed it into the keyhole. And by combining their powers again, they could catch the hay on fire and that melted the lock. The biggest reason I think this book is the best is because you didn't know what was going to happen next. This book constantly kept me in suspense. It also makes you feel like you are a part of the book. Like it was happening right before your eyes. I going to continue reading these books until I read them all!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars This book ROCKS the outer rim of the Diadem!
well, in case you're wondering, the Diadem is... Hmm... Well, think of it as a big onion. With the different layers. There are many layers, and each has it's own universe. Our planet is on the outer rim of the Diadem. A human cannot travel between rims of the Diadem unless they go through a portal. These portals only allow Magical creatures and Magic-users to pass through them. Three kids, about 12 each, Score, Renald, and Pixel, are all Magic-users. They are all from different planets brought together to save the Diadem with their... Read the book!

5-0 out of 5 stars Book of Names NO. 1
When I first looked at this book I thought it would be strange but when I started to read it I was transported to another dimenion. I was amazed by the story and how it was described. The way he wrote it made it seem as if you were traveling along with them and fighting by their side. I highly recommend this book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Diadem!
I read the first book...forever ago...in my small local public library. I fell in love with it. Then, on a whim, I searched for it to see if any of the new books had come out. Strangely over the years, they had! I think I'm going to go order some of the used books since they are all long out of print.

I totally suggest the book to any young reader. ...

5-0 out of 5 stars I LOVE the Diadem Series!
I have read the first four books recently, and I am in love with them! My favorite characters are Pixle and the Unicorns- they are wonderful! Dondar is my favorite world because of the Unicorns and Dragons, and I love all of the magical trials they go through. These books are sooo incredible, and everyone should read them! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Funny
I thought that this book was rather a fun read. The idea that there is a special bureau that deals exclusively in losing things, is a great idea. I haven't read the first in this series, so I don't really know if this one is a lot worse, I just thought that it was an enjoyable read. I might not be worth the four-star rating I gave it, but it is definitely better then a two-star rateing, and worth at least a three.

2-0 out of 5 stars Disappointing
After a great start ("Return To Foreverware") the second installment in this series is a bit of a letdown. Like in the previous book, "Bureau of Lost" revisits an episode of the series - Marshall and Simon meet up with Al and Lodgepool who run the Bureau of Lost (where all "missing" items - from briefcases to pencaps - are stored) - and expands it by introducing a Bureau of Missing, a seperate project where famous people (among them are Butch Cassidy, The Sundance Kid, DB Cooper and the Flying Dutchman) who have mysteriously vanished are cyrogenically frozen and stored in vaults. When these notorious felons escape, Marshall and Simon are reluctantly called upon to help locate them and get them back where they belong.

"Bureau of Lost" reads more like a caper from the old 60's "Batman" series, with the four villains plotting a giant criminal scheme together, than it does like something from "Eerie, Indiana." Also, the purpose for the Bureau of Missing never really made any sense. The Bureau of Lost, as it was explained in the TV show, existed to keep the economy stable (if people never lost anything, Lodgepool theorized, they'd never buy anything to replace those missing items, thus causing to economy to crash) but there is no apparent reason to keep human beings frozen and stored. Overall, this entry just seemed to be streching it. ... Read more

I just finnished reading this book. I loved the first two so I decides to try this one out. I was amased that this author can write so many good books. This book is his most thrilling and cool yet. I got this book from my teacher at school in first period. I kept reading this book through homeroom 1st period 2ed period 3ed period till finaly my teacher told me to put it away. Lucky for me she did not take it away. At lunch all I could do was read this book. I complettly forgott to eat lunch. 5-0 out of 5 stars TOTALLY AWESOME!!!!
This is one of the best books in the series! ... Tristan and Genia and Mora are trying to track down Devon, but are having some problems. Jame, the 3rd twin is in the thick of the revolution on Mars. Shimoda is getting closer to stopping Quietus once and for all. But Devon takes over the moon and now is holding the world hostage. Tristan, Genia, and Mora are running out of time. In the final book Earth's fate is in the balance. If you liked the first 4 books. You'll like this one!!

3-0 out of 5 stars Meltdown is coming.
What is probably the most disappointing book in the 2099 series is still a book that readers will find difficult to put down, particularly because the plot races along with each passing chapter and the ultimate showdown grows closer... In 2099 #5: MELTDOWN the trouble for Tristan grows. He and Genia are trapped in a world so utterly close to its own destruction, a world in which meltdown is causing it to come to a shattering end. Is there anything they can do to stop the ultimate

destruction of Earth -- and its future?

5-0 out of 5 stars Totally Awesome
John Peel is the best author! This book was just as incredible as the first 4! Hes not like most authors where after the first book it gets boring! They are all great! Anyone who hasn't read this series is a fool! If you liked Diadem you'll love 2099!

5-0 out of 5 stars Sweet book!
This is one of the best books in the series! The sci-finess of it was great. The book takes a big step in Tristan and Genia's relationship together. I really enjoyed it . And for the guy that said it was only good for the first two and a half words well he is just a huge loser.Just a plain LOSER!

4-0 out of 5 stars It rocked

5-0 out of 5 stars YOU CAN'T PUT IT DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This book is the best that I've ever read! Tristan, a naive person who is chained to his conscience and Genia, a streetpunk thief from the underworld are forced to work with a gang of crooks and Tristan's ex-girlfriend, Mora, who has become hard-hearted after living in the underworld. I could not put it down. I wasn't intrested in anything else but the book. Unlike Paul Jennings,Morris Gleitzman, and John Marsden where their six part stories seemed to repeat itself throughout the series, John Peel is original. Well worth your money.

5-0 out of 5 stars They can only survive the revolution....
No one can stop the ongoing revolution. Tristan and Genia, after a heart-stopping escape from Ice, must get onto business and save Earth from Tristan's devious clone Devon. Unfortunately, Tristan meets his betrayer. He discovers shocking things about why he was betrayed. But that doesn't make the fight for Earth any less serious. The world is one the brink of total destruction, and only Tristan , who is trying to gain the trust of Inspector Shimoda, can stop that.

5-0 out of 5 stars No time for disappointment!
This book was excellent! Genia finds herself warming up to Tristan. It's also revealed in this book that there are three clones in the universe that have been freed from their lab, where other clones remain, still in their jars-- there's Jame Wilson, a young, 14-year-old that lives in Space, there's Tristan Connor, and Devon. Devon has a sick potential to take over the world, and Quietus with that. This book concentrates on Tristan's escape from Ice, and betrayal from Genia's own father. This book/series is related to Marilyn Kaye's "replica." There's also 12 clones, except the character's genders are different. This book isn't a disappointment--read it!

5-0 out of 5 stars The 2099 series is AWESOME!
John Peel's furtive writing skills allow him to succeed in writing children's science fiction like no author. "Revolution" is a follow-up to his 3rd book, "Traitor," focused mainly on Genia and Tristan. "Revolution" reveals some of the secrets about Quietus, the hacker's mafia of the future, as well as the cloning of Tristan and Devon. This is a great book and I can't wait to collect the rest of the series! (BTW, I'm 13 years old, and that seems like a perfect age to be able to understand all of the book)

5-0 out of 5 stars Outstanding
This book had so much adventure in it that I could not put it down. I in courage everyone to buy it. I have all the 2099 seires and they just get better and better as they progress. Once you read the last chapter of the book then you will be urged so much into buying the next one. But read the rest of the book first or you wont understand it. This is a realy good book and it will keep you on the edge of your seat the hole time! ... Read more

Twice,I have began this book, found it quite interesting, put it aside and forgotten all about it.I think this shows that it isn't what you call a page turner.

5-0 out of 5 stars Betrayal
When I read that book i really couldn't stop. It was exciting till the end not like other books which have up and downs. I liked ( it was super). I highly recommand that book. I think that John Peel did a good job writting this book. Thanks

5-0 out of 5 stars The ultimate betrayal....
Tristan is still on the run for his life. Inspector Shimoda, horrified at what the New York Net is now, storms into action to pursue the devious computer genius behind the scenes. Tristan is a renegade, a renegade in so much danger his own identity must be foiled to protect himself. His ex girlfriend Mora is worried, and she will do the only thing she can to seek justice. Tristan has no idea what is coming to him, because betrayal together with injustice will pursue him. What can he do to for Earth? Is there a way? He doesn't know, but his evil clone Devon does...

4-0 out of 5 stars Tried to give this book 4 and a half stars . . .
This was a good book. I liked it all the way through. I think he should have done a sequel to it, telling what happened to the Dainid and Alyssa.

5-0 out of 5 stars An awesome science fiction book.
Alyssa and her best friend, Caitlin, are on a dinosaur dig inthe midwest. After some eggs are dug up, strange occurances andattacks begin to take place. None of the attacked people die - they all become ill, and then vanish. Alyssa begins to wonder - are the victims turning into dinosaurs? Read this exciting book to find out. It was a fun, quick read.

5-0 out of 5 stars AWSOME,CREATIVE, ALL THE WAY THROUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love the idea of dinosours coming to life. At times in this book I wanted to laugh, others cry. Alissa (main charecter) is smart to think something is going on when an odd fern grows in the middle of the desert. This book has great twists like how Caitlin, Alissas best friend, becomes a dinosour. Just the right amount of adventure, horror, and fanstey. If you liked Mr. Peel's work with "Diadem" you're going to LOVE this!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome!
This was one hot book, dispite some of the cussing and crude violence. I can honestly say that I really loved this book. ... Read more
