Fossilised Fun Phenomenom
I thought that the content of this book was extrodinary. It was about the same as the first one but I always had wondered what the fossil TCG would be like. When I collected the full collection of PKMN cards I was delighted. I share the collection with my friend Philip who is just as mad about Pokemon as I am. The book is very helpful because in my old one I ticked of al of the ones I had so it was a great help. It also gives you lots of Pictures of cards at least not in Japanese so I am venturing towards being the ultimate PKMN trainer. The book describes the cards perfectly so I can develop my skills on playing and defeating against my opponent. I hope everyone who gets the book enjoyed as much as me. Bye! ... Read more

Cute!
I'm 12 years old and I've been a fan of Pokemon ever since...well, forever, just about.
I was in the bookstore a couple of days ago with my dad, looking at books.
I showed him dozens, upon dozens of books, and he said that none of them were "appropriate" for me.
So, I got this book, along with two other Pokemon "Reader" Books.
I read them all in about 5-10 minutes.
I thought this book was very cute. It's a very cute book, good for young children who are just learning how to read.

It's a 32-page book with large text and an easy-to-follow story.
Definitely recommended for children ages 3-5, or for those who are just learning how to read.

Cute!
This book is a very cute, fun book for young children ages 3-5, or for those who are just learning how to read.
It's a very cute and fun 32-page book with large text, a colorful illistration on each page to show you what's happening, and a easy-to-follow story.
Definitely recommended for children ages 3-5, those who are just learning how to read, or any Pokemon fan who wants a cute, short read!

FUN
The Pokemon Trading Card Game is a great way to be able to play the game without having to waste all the time by shuffling the deck and taking the cards. It is a fast, fun and effective way to play the game.

Overall good strategy guide. Lacks some details
Prima's guide for Pokemon is pretty darn good. The layout is done nicely and explantions of the different parts of the game are done well. Maps and key figures are identified and the screen captures are nice and clear.

Out of the 226 cards that can be collected in this game, Prima does an excellent job in cataloging each one by power and energy type. They also give very helpful pro's and con's on each card and tell you which ones are worth having, and a few that you probably don't want to use in your deck.. An intersting side note: Prima also gives the origin on many of the card, that is, if they debuted in Japan or America first and when. Also, unique to the Gameboy are special cards only obtained in the Gameboy version.

There are some strategies on how to build certains decks that will aid you in defeating some of the club masters, and a nice feature is Prima identifies the club master and other boss decks so you can build a great deck before you encounter them.

The one drawback I see with this guide is the lack of card combinations descriptions. Though there are some, there are a lot more to be discovered that could have been written about. Also, if they can break down the decks of the club masters and bosses, they could have also done the same for other NPC's within the game, but give very vague guidelines/hints on most of the NPC's

Overall, a good buy for the price.

Information you need? This book has it!
I liked this book because it was easy to find the cards I wanted to look at in a short amount of time. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because the prices were alittle high on the easy to get cards and in outer space for the rares and holo's. I find that its a great book though for a quick price check when I am buying or trading cards. I wish they would publish a updated book with all the new cards in it.

Perfect for Lugia/Pokemon Lovers!
This book of art from the Pokemon 2000 (Revelation Lugia) movie is wonderful, to say the least. I was greatly impressed, it easily surpassed my expectations. Though the art is fantastic and plentiful, some of the most noteable features is information; the book gives a nice synopsis of the film and the short that was played with it, as well as a nifty little Pokedex for the new Pokemon featured in the movie. It's a great addition to any Pokefan's collection! I highly recommend this one.

What can I say? This is a good book!
This book is really good, but unfortunately I found a few misprints. But, then again, every book has misprints, so I shouldn't be so nit-picky. Also, I noticed something: in this book, Lugia said, "You, who recovered the two treasures, are our best hope," when it's saying that Ash is the Chosen One. But wait! In the movie, Lugia said that only with the help of the true Chosen One (Ash), would the Ice Sphere glow brightly like the other two. So I think they took that particular sentence in the book from the Japanese version of this movie. Also, about those weird drawings on page 44 . . . who drew them? The reason I'm not giving this book less than five stars is because it answered a lot of my questions. I hate to admit, but I didn't really understand the real reason that Moltres and Zapdos were attacking each other in Lawrence's airship. And that's just one example. There were a lot of other things I was sort of confused about that this book explained.Last note: this book tells you the name of the Pokemon collector! Lawrence III! But why doesn't the elderly man (you know, the one who told Ash that the festival was just for the tourists) have a name? ... Read more
