Sweet, sticky kisses, airplane kisses, tickle kisses, boo-boo kisses...Sam is one lucky bunny! His mommy and daddy and grandparents know just what kindof smooches to give their little boy to make everything right in his world--evenwhen he can't sleep or is grumpy. And, author-illustrator Yves Got knows justwhat kind of picture book will make everything right in a toddler's world. Withminimal text ("But Mommy always has time to kiss a boo-boo"), Got brings maximumcharm to all his picture books (Sam's Big Book of Words, Sam's Little Sister, Sweet Dreams, Sam, etc.). Themagic is in the illustrations: bright, solid colors outlined in bold black, against a plain white background. Sam is an adorable little bunny with the kindof daily travails and triumphs every preschooler will recognize. Working withsimple dots and dashes for features, Got transforms Sam's expression from joy todismay to anxiety to contentment. A tremendously comforting bedtime--oranytime—-board book. 5-0 out of 5 stars They love it!
My 18 month old twins insist on having this book read to them over and over. Yes, it does get boring, but I have all their books memorized anyway, and repitition is how toddlers learn. What they really like are all the kisses. They both make kissing sounds when I read it, and when it's done everyone gets kisses (including me) before I hear "more!" They are also able to read along, identifying familiar objects on the pages (bear, car, etc.).

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful for an infant!
My 6 month old son loves this book. The simple drawings capture his attention, making it one of the few books he wants to look at instead of chew on. The drawings and the text are both so sweet that I don't mind reading it over and over again.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great anytime story
It's a great book to read for an infant or toddler. My son is two and enjoys looking at the pictures and listening to the story. Conceptually, the ideas are very simple but also incredibly important. Showing affection through different kinds of kisses is a great story to share with a child. The short text allows me to point to the text as I read without losing my son's attention, then I embellish the story with sounds and gestures that make it a lot of fun for both of us. My two year old loves books and has a mountain of them. This is certainly one of his favorites.

4-0 out of 5 stars I'm bored but ....
My almost two year old wants it read to him over and over. He loves the part about Mommy being busy cooking. A good book for a short attention span.

3-0 out of 5 stars Short, but good first book
I was a little disappointed that the book is so short and not as "complex" as the books we normally read our daughter. It is a very simple book with one short sentence per page. Our daughter does enjoy it very much and is able to read along with us, so it would make an excellent beginning reader's book. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars An Adventure with Billy Bunny
This book is beautifully illustrated, as are all of Maurice Pledger's books. I have been reading these books to my now four-year-old granddaughter for over two years. She has learned colors and how to identify and count the various items in the pictures. The books by Maurice Pledger are her favorites. She never tires of having them read over and over again, although we have a very large collection of children's books.

5-0 out of 5 stars Billy Bunny
This book is beautifully illustrated. It is my son's favorite book and we read it almost every night. He cannot read yet, but he loves to uncover the animals behind the pop-up's. He is delighted when he finds the animals. The last page is full of butterflies and he always sqeals in delight.

5-0 out of 5 stars A cute book. We all love it.
This is a wonderful book that subtlely shows the stages of the butterfly laying the eggs through to the emergence of a butterfly. I would definately like to order a 2nd copy as the original copy has been read so many times. This is a keeper. I would highly recommend this book

5-0 out of 5 stars Very cute pop-up book.
The story is simple: Billy Bunny has never seen a butterfly, so he starts looking for one. Six pages feature flaps to lift in the search. Each flap activates a pop-up or causes something to slide into view. As the last page is opened, a elaborate two-page pop-up is revealed. The artwork is very cute. Although Billy does not notice the butterfly emerging from a cocoon as the book progresses, my two-year-old son does. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for young readers
My daughter got this book as a birthday present from her grandma, and it's been a big hit. Marigold, a little bunny, has a day of fun with her Grandma. They buy Marigold a new hat, they feed the ducks, they go out to lunch, and get their picture taken. One of the lessons of the book is found in the story at the coffee shop. Marigold wants the lunch to be just wonderful, but she gets the hiccups, spills her drink, and forgets her table manners. She feels bad, but Grandma assures her that she is always wonderful. What a great lesson! Just what every Grandma is supposed to say about their grandchildren. I can really recommend this book, especially if your child has a special grandma. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars One of These Things Isn't Like the Others.
In this addition to Baker's Rabbit series, Gray Rabbit is trying to find his favorite book. He can't find it because all of his stuff is messed up. So he sorts through everything arranging his things into piles where they belong. However, in each pile there is one item that is out of place. This oddball leads to Rabbit's next arrangement until finally he has gone through everything and found his book. Kids love Alan Baker's Rabbit books and with the brilliant colors, vivid shapes, and concept lessons that they help teach, parents will enjoy the books as well. Great book for preschool to kindergarten children.

4-0 out of 5 stars cute story
This book is an interesting twist on an old story. Bruh Rabbit gets into Bruh Wolf's well-tended garden and eats his corn and peanuts. Bruh Wolf makes a "scarey-crow' in hopes that will keep Bruh Rabbit out. Bruh Rabbit comes back still. The next step Bruh Wolf takes is to make a tar baby girl. When Bruh Rabbit see the tar baby girl he gets mad because it will not speak to him. He ends up hitting her, kicking her and trying to bite her. Of course he gets stuck to the tar baby girl in the process! Bruh Wolf comes alos ang tries to get him. Bruh Rabbit tricks himself out of the situation by begging not to be thrown into the briar patch. Bruh Wolf falls for the trick and throws him in but Rabbit really loves it there! Fooled again!

It has extraordinary illustrations that would captivate the attention of any child, even ones with short attention spans.

I would recommed this book for kids ages 5-8. They will enjoy the story read aloud or to read silently to themselves ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A funny story with a moral and a happy ending!
My son and I read this book over and over!

Big Bad Bunny is a big bad bully! He steals from his friends and intimidates them. Then one day Wise Old Bunny teaches him a hard lesson, and Big Bad Bunny changes his ways and makes amends.

With a humorous story and vivid illustrations, the authors of this picture book provide both entertainment and education! This book is an excellent choice for your 3-6 year-old.

5-0 out of 5 stars Terrific tale about a bad(?) bunny
This a terrific book for the preschoolers as well as school-age kids. The large pages and bright colored illustrations are funny and attention-grabbing. This looks like a book that boys would love, but it's one of my daughter's absolute favorites. The ending is happy, with a redeemed bunny- Hooray!

5-0 out of 5 stars Big Bad Bunny fans
My son can't get enough of this book. It's read every day several times a day. It's easy to see why as the text is very catchy and the illustrations are attractive. I've also used the story to talk to him about good and rude behaviour, and how the bunny changes into Quite Good Bunny at the end of the book. Even as I'm frequently rereading the book to him, it's still a hoot every time as it's funny. We're both hooked on Big Bad Bunny.

5-0 out of 5 stars A classroom hit!
I bought this book not sure if the kids in my four and five year old preschool classroom would like it or not, but I took and chance. It turned out to be one of the better buys I have made this year. The kids would ask for it to be read time and time again. It was also a huge favorite for those kids who choose to read a story as their job during circle time. I finally had to retire the book we heard it so often and then brought it back for an end of the year treat, even then the kids were as enthralled with "Big Bad Bunny" as the first time they heard it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Is NO ONE safe from BIG BAD BUNNY?

Some things in life are too big. Some are too small. And the best thingsare just right. In this appealing picture book by the author of Cinder-Elly and Sleepless Beauty, opposites areexplored in the context of friendship. Two bunny buddies shop for bikes (one'sway too big, another is too small, and the last one, a tandem, is just right),go dancing (with partners too short and too tall until they find each otheragain--just right!), and experience nightlife in a tent (too dark, too bright, just right). Seems they never get it right until they team up--just like thebest friendships.

Young readers will be tickled by the humorous details in each vignette, especially the faithful little mouse that accompanies the pink and yellowrabbits on all their excursions. Frances Minters's simple, repetitive text, illustrated with Janie Bynum's smiley watercolor rabbits and elephants and pigsand bears, is just right. (Ages 2 to 5) --Emilie Coulter ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Don't WORRY - He gets HUGS at the END!
When Davy gorges himself on blueberries meant for the whole family, Mother Rabbit is not happy.

He hopes a hug might get him forgiven, but Mother tells him that's a no-go.

She waits for him to propose a solution to fix his mistake, and after some hard thinking he suggests going and picking more.

The whole family enjoys them, praising Davy for picking them, and only Mother knows why. At the end of the book they have a lovely hug & all is well.

The whimsical illustrations are endearing, with soft watercolours illuminating every page.

A lovely little book, with a nice moral.

As the words are so simple, it is very easy to substitute the name of your small one, whilst reading the book, which is a touch they always love, and can get hard to keep straight when you have lots of characters!

The hard board pages are excellent for small children, making it lasting and easy to handle. This is a book I don't mind leaving out for my son to browse through any time.
