From one Raggedy Ann and Andy fan
When I first bought this book,about 2 years ago, I was already a fan of Raggedy Ann and Andy but I really wanted to introduces my then 3 year old niece to them. My niece and I really enjoyed the story and how Raggedy Ann and Andy and the Camel with the Wrinkled Knees worked so well together to find their friend, Babette. Also how they helped in getting the angry pirates to change to good. It has many good lessons in it which are good for all to learn. My niece is now a HUGE Raggedy Ann and Andy fan and loves all the stories. I am proud to say that I own this wonderful story.

Suitable for gift-giving
It's hard to peg the exact age range for Johnny Gruelle's Raggedy Ann readers: they require good reading skills or parental assistance but will appeal to a wide age range. Raggedy Ann And Andy And The Camel With The Wrinkled Knees will reach ages 5 and up with its story of a kidnapped French doll and Raggedy and Andy's rescue. Includes the traditional Gruelle illustrations and is suitable for gift-giving.

Memories!
As I turned the pages of this wonderful book, all of the illustrations came flooding back to my memory. I KNEW the pictures, even though I'd not laid eyes on them in over 30 years! The stories are poignant and the illustrations captivating. I loved my Raggedy Ann and her little brother very much and have passed this treasure on to a little boy that I love with all my "candy" heart.

Beloved Raggedy Andy Stories
I remember these stories being read to me as a little girl and I still find inspiration in them today! Raggedy Andy always kept pleasant thoughts and had a positive outlook on life. His philosophy: "You see how easy it is to pass over the little bumbs of life if we are happy on the inside". His stories are a great way to teach children virtues and values. Raggedy Ann and the Nice Police Officer
Set in a time when meals were cooked in the fireplace in a hanging kettle and the world was a predictable moral place, Raggedy Ann and Andy meet a policeman, who is so scared of arresting Mr. Holligooly that he is crying. Andy and Ann give him courage and it turns out that an evil magician is the real criminal, who falsely accused Mr. Hooligooly. The magician makes magic pancakes to turn Mr. Hooligooly and the policeman into pigs. Raggedy Ann sprinkles some of the magic pancake into a pie that then turns the magician into a pig, when he steals it. The magician goes to jail and repents, the pigs are returned to human form, and they all become friends. ... Read more
