Western Star
Westren star is a great book about friendship and teamwork, you have to learn to work with people that maybe you dont really like, just like the girls did in this book, even though they didnt like gary they still made him part of the team! i would recomend this book to anyone the loves adventure and fun!!!

Kate set the alarm clock. "We'll leave before dawn," she said, pulling on a jacket and boots. "I'm going to go call Dad."

"We shouldn't ride bareback," Carole suggested after Kate left.

That made sense. This wasn't a pleasure ride. This was serious business. The lives of many horses could be on the line.

A minute later Kate reappeared. Her face looked grim.

"What's the matter?" asked Stevie.

"The phone's dead. The storm must have knocked it out," Kate answered. "It looks like we're on our own."

Great book!!!
This book was so good!!! It was about horses, adventurous, humorous, has great charcters, and the Saddle Club goes to the Bar None!!!! YEAH!! This book is a 10+

Great

I loved it!!!!!!!!!
I loved the book. If you like The Saddle Club books read this one.It's about when Stevie falls off of her horse and starts to see things.She also started to act NORMAL!When Stevie starts to see things before thay happen Carol and Lisa get worried and when she didn't want one of her wierd ice ceam conbanations.Than see knows that her boyfriend is going to get hurt and Carol and Lisa take that as an advantge. Stevie gets better when she walks over to get a school book and falls again then she starts to act like her self. Like I said you have to read this book.

A real feel good book! Blondie steals your heart away!!
I loved this book! I read the whole thing in just 2 days! It's really a fun book to read. The thing I liked about it is you feel like a Saddle Club member yourself! This book is fun because alot of things happen at once! I especially liked the part when they bring the blind pony Blondie into the woods on their rescue mission!! Blondie just made the whole book! I liked it because they saw passed Blondie's blindness and found a true blue friend! I would rate this book a 10+ but the max is a 5. If you like the Saddle Club. READ THIS BOOK!! It really makes you feel good. It also makes you hate Veronica even more than everyone already does!!Don't you hate her!? She's so snobbish! Grrr....I LOVED how they get her back for messing Stevie up!!! I LOVE IT! Sweet Revenge!

Loved It!!!!!!!
Love it! It was my favortive super edition saddle club book yet. First Stevie falls off her horse and has to stay in bed a whole week. I loved how Stevie was having all these dreams and they started coming true! And Lisa and Carole started to see how Stevie's world is really like! Another great saddle club book! Love all your books Bonnie!

Not that great
I had a subscription to The Saddle Club book club, i got a new book every month, my mom cancelled my subscription because the way Stevie gets better can't happen in real life (My mom is a doctor). So this was not one of Bryant's best.

Great Book!!
I loved this book, it was a real page turner. I just have one suggestion to Bonnie Bryant. In almost all the Saddle Club books it's Veronica who messes stuff up. Every single time there's a catastrophee you know who was behind it. I think that for once she should write a book from Veronica's point of view instead of always making her the un-realistic designated "bad guy". ... Read more

"Great," said Stevie."There was the time Belle and I--"

"No.I want to hear stories that don't have anything to do with horses."

"What for?" Carole asked.

"Well, my baby is going to be surrounded by horses and horse talk all of his life.Horses are fun, but they aren't everything.I'd like to know that somehow, something other than horses was ever important to the three of you. I've got to admit that I find the idea that I'm about to be a mother even scarier than the idea that I'm about to have a baby.So, I need some help.I know I can always get help from you about horses.Give me some help about mothering."

The girls looked at one another.

"No horses?" Carole asked.

"Not a one," Deborah said.

There was a long silence.

"How about a cup of tea?" Lisa asked.

"Sure," Deborah agreed."It'll probably help inspire your storytelling.I'll let you fix the tea.The doctor said I shouldn't eat anything, so just bring me some ice chips to munch on.I'll wait here for you."She put her feet up on a chair, leaned back, and closed her eyes.

The girls hurried out of the living room into the kitchen, where they had a quick conference.

"Is she okay?" Stevie asked.

"No horses?" Carole echoed, still stunned by the idea that she might actually have something to say that didn't have to do with her favorite subject.When she wrote a history paper, it was about the cavalry in the Civil War.In English, she'd only been happy when they'd read "Charge of the Light Brigade." Good Book!!
hi us and are best friend are the stable club. we read alot of bonnie's books. we think this one was great. Deborah askes the saddle club to tell her a story about each of them without horses! can carole possibly tell a story about herself without horses? well we liked stevie's story. Lisa's story was good but, CHARM SCHOOL!!! come on she's only 8yrs old!! we feel bad for lisa. charm school! yuck!!! we liked carole's story the best though. she says shes talking about a dog, but guess what it really is?! you probably know, i mean after all carole can't possibably tell a story of her life that doesn't have at least one horsey part in it!!!! if you want to talk horses, then e-mail us at the address above. ( it doesn't include the names.) remember, horses ALWAYS rule!!!!!!!!

ONE GREAT BOOK!
This is one book I'm never going to forget! Max's wife is about to have a baby. She asks The Saddle Club to tell a story about mothering without horses. How can The Saddle Club do that? An excellent book which you HAVE to read!

AWESOME!
This book is great! I love The Saddle Club, but this is one of the best. When the 3 members of the saddle club try to tell Deborah, Max's wife, about a time before they rode horses, it turns out that all of their stories turned out to be related to horses. I highly recomend this book!

GO, BONNIE!
This book is TOTALLY AWESOME! DEFINATLY one of Bonnie's best. You see, Debora,(Max's wife) is getting ready to have a baby. And Debora asks The Saddle Club to tell her a story, THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HORSES! LISA tells about how her mother sent her to "Charm School." STEVIE tells about some of the "Pranks" she played when she was young. And CAROLE tells about how she found a "Puppy Dog",NOT! A LIE TO BE SURE! (A fun lie, I might add.) The, "Puppy Dog" was really a horse, OF CORSE!

A must-read!
This is an awesome book.Possibly my favorite.I'm so glad I read it (three times)!If you like the Saddle Club,you have to read it. (p.s.I'm not in one of those poor excuses for a Saddle Club such as the 'Stable Club'.I just like to read them,and acctually appreciate them.) ... Read more

The book was very exciting and emotional
Caroles dad has gone on a top secret mission and Carole is staying with Lisa. But Lisa is boring her with German history.Meanwhile Stevie is on the verge of discovering an under ground railroad.Then a special horse at Pine Hollow gets sick with a fatal illness. Can the Saddle Club's worst nightmares come true?

Saddest one so far!
I found this book a great one but also a VERY sad one. Delilah is found to maybe contracted a diesese called Swamp fever. Will Carole save her? or will delilah slip threw Carole's fingers? Every single time I read this I cried. Great Book! go buy or read it! It's a must for all horse Crazy people. It also tell's you how hard It can be to lose a loved one.

I LOVE this book!!
This was one of of my favorite SC books of all time! I wasn't suprised to find Carole worrying over her Dad, but she got a little hysterical at times. This book was so good, I couldn't put it down for a second. I would recomend this book to anyone who loves horses, just be prepared!

I thought this book was great.
I love this book, but I got confused between this and other books. In this book, it says that Carole can stay in Lisa's brother's bedroom because he is at collage. But in the book Western Star on page 160 (the last sentance) Lisa says there are some advantages of being an only child. In the Starlight Christmas on page 13 at the top it says that Lisa bought a sweater for her brother. This is confusing. In the begining of most of the books it says she is an only child. What happened?

A great, but very emotional book!
Nightmare was an excellent novel. It was very emotional. I have read many books in the saddle club series and this is one of the best! Ms. Bryant explains everything pretty well in this novel, as she does in most of her novels. I recomend this book to everyone. If you are horse-crazy, than this is the book for you. ... Read more

good book
i liked this book a lot but... i thought it was kindda dumb that Lisa didn't take the horse Sky tried to give her I mean really a horse crazy girl refuse the perfect horse? other than that this was interesting and fun to read

A SUMMER WITHOUT HORSE! You're joking right?
After Stevie has a mishap and suffers a bad bruise, not serious that will keep her out of the saddle, Carole and Lisa take a vow that they will not ride horses until Stevie's injury is healed. And if they should break this SOLUMN oath they have to ask Veronic to join the Saddle Club. Even though Carole and Lisa go to completely different states they can't keep their promise. I rated this a seven because it does not illustrate the kind of "together forever" mood in the other books.

This book is one in a million!
