2-0 out of 5 stars In this book Ash is pregnant and Cindy has to find a jockey.
I give this book 2 stars. I mean, really happy ending. I personally think that Ashleigh shouldn't have given Brad and his wife Lavina (two snotty no good rats)half-interest in Glory. I feel bad for Cindy. Hey, Glory is her horse and Brad+Lavina are ruthless and careless with their horses. I also wonder what happened to Glory. I think that Cindy should own Glory completely. Cindy pretty cool, but my favorite character is Melanie. I hope Joanna Campell will write more books about her and Christina. I also wonder what happened to Cassidy. They should tell more about her.

4-0 out of 5 stars I love the Thoroughbred series and I love this book.
I really don't get how people could possibly give this book bad reviews. I was a little sad when Ashleigh couldn't ride Glory any more but I was excited about her having a baby. I simply love the Thoroughbred books and I loved this one too. My favorite one is Ashleigh's Christmas Miracle and I've read a lot of them. I strongly suggest you read it along with all the rest. But if you are considering reading Ashleigh's Farewell don't listen to what everyone says because it's a good book and so are all the other Thoroughbred books. There is one for every kind of person and you might just find one you like. I give this book a 4 star rating because I like some of them better. But I've read 1-18,plus Ashleigh's Diary, Samantha's Journey, Ashleigh's Christmas Miracle, and I plan to read Ashleigh's Hope next. I may only be 11, but I know a lot about horses and about these books and I think you should give this book a try. Keep writing Joanna ang I'll keep reading. Signed, Your biggest fan

    2-0 out of 5 stars Well...um...
What can I say? The story kind of doesn't make sence. Like, if Ashleigh was pregnant, why did she ride Glory one day, fall off then suddenly not ride? My my mom was pregnant with me, she ride till she was 8 months along! Like come on!

Another thing about this book is that Glory feaks out with all the other riders. Sure, when I broke my arm and some of my friends rode my horse, he had to get used to there differnt(sp?) riding style, but gallop around and toss them this way and that...um...no. Never.

This book bearly got any stars from me, but I'll be nice cause I like Cindy and Glory *Sometimes*

4-0 out of 5 stars Cindy the brat
I think the book was good but I absolutely hate Cindy. Every horse at Whitebrook that is a very good racer she thinks is hers. She is such a snob. Do her and Max get married or something because I hope not because he is to good for her, Anyway the book was great.

1-0 out of 5 stars Well...
In Cindy's Honor Ashleigh can't ride Honor Bright because she is pregnant again. Why doesn't Ashleigh just be pregnant one time only with twins? Horses can't be so picky can they? It's like, Star can't win without Christina. Ashleigh also was dwelling on about how she couldn't ride Glory because of the risk of losing her baby. Well, how come the exercised him that day? How about that? Also, why in the world would Ashleigh sell off a half-interest in Glory to Townsend Acres, I will never know. That will only make the deal with Wonder's offspring tougher, I mean, Ashleigh would have to deal with two major fights with the Townsends because she sold of a half-interest in Glory. So, if you want to read this book, first look at the reviews! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars take care of your horses
This book was good and well written.in it there is a wild horse called buety. She is poor and left alone.she was sold for salvage but the people never caught her. Can the pony pals change her into the buety she is , will she survive who will get her.I'll let you find out for yourself.I highly recomend all pony pal books.so read this one.

1-0 out of 5 stars Not Realistic
This book is not the least bit realistic. What are the odds three 10 year old girls could tame a wild pony in only a few a weeks with no help? And how could a formerly tame, docile pony go completely wild in just under a year? When I bought my horse he had been out to pasture for two years, but he was pretty well behaved when he came to my stable. Plus, despite their relatively small size,Morgan horses are usually considered horses. If you have a horse-crazy child who dreams of ponies,(but the closest theyv'e been to one is the pony ride Shetlands at the county fair)then this is the book for them. But if your'e really into horses and know your'e fair share of horse knowledge, steer clear of this 100% FAKE horse story.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Best Pony Pal Book Ever!!!
This book is great! It is about three girls that live in a small town and they have all kinds of adventures together! In this particular book Pam (one of the girls) finds a abandoned pony!!! It was wandering around on a property that nobody has lived on in about a year! It looks horrible! She has to help! She can't do it on her own so she asks her friends. The owner is going to sell her to the meat buyer!!!! Will Pam and her friends' save the pony? Can they?? Find out if they can save the beautiful black pony from death when you read "The Wild Pony" by Jeanne Betancourt.

5-0 out of 5 stars Can The Pony Pals Help the Pony?
This book was one of the best book's I read. It was about Anna Lulu and Pam and how they helped a head shy pony they found. and at the end, one of the pony pal's friends bought the pony. IT WAS A GOOD BOOK!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars This book is awesome!

5-0 out of 5 stars Lisa Atwood comes to ride...
When Lisa Atwood's mother decides that she should she shoulod ride at Pine Hollow Stables, Lisa doesn't like the idea. On her first lesson there she finds some strange things at the stable. Carole Hanson, who is totally disorginized at school, is the best rider there and doesn't put a hoof pick out of place. And someone slams the door on her first lesson and the horse spooks. Carole watched the lesson and sees that Lisa is a natural rider. Then Lisa meets Stevie lake, Carole's best friend. Stevie's about to be bann from a wonderful Pine Hollow trip, the MTO (Mountain Trail Overnight) unless she improves her math grade. Stevie plays a prank on Lisa, causing the girl's mind to lead her to the fact that Stvie slammed the door. But Stevie didn't do it. Lisa wants to be Carole's friend but doesn't want to be friends with Stevie. So she starts hanging out with Veronica diAngelo, the stable snob and the one who actually did slam the door on Lisa. Pretty soon Stevie's desperate for help, Lisa's hating Veronica, and Carole's stuck in the middle, trying to help them both. Then they each get a little help from a very surprising sorce.

5-0 out of 5 stars I love the Saddle Club series.
I love the Saddle Club series. I think any horse crazy person who likes to read would like this book, and series also. In this book, Horse Crazy, Carole Hanson and Stevie Lake meet a new girl, Lisa Atwood, and they don't think she'll fet in. But Lisa shows herself to be a good rider, and the three girls become best friends. They love horses so much, that they formed The Saddle Club. If I have anything to say about this book: it is the best horsey book in the world! No, I should correct myself, the best book ever published.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great book!
Very good book! Carole and Stevie are best friends, and they are going to go on a Mountain Trail Overnight (MTO) togther. However, Stevie's parents say that they won't pay for it unless her grades go up. (It costs $50 to go) Now Stevie has decided that she can't possibly get her grades up, so she is going to earn the $50 herself! Lisa Artwood is also riding at the stables while Stevie is trying to earn the money. She is new, and has never ridden a horse before. Carole likes her but Stevie doesn't. Veronica (the snob) wants to add her to her "collection" of friends, and Lisa feels mixed up about it. Worth buying, reading, and never putting it down! Stevie isn't quite as funny in this book though, she has always been one of my favorite charachters.

5-0 out of 5 stars First Saddle Club Wonderful
Saddle Club, Horse Crazy is a fun book about girls and horses. Stevie, the prank puller is trying to earn money for a Overnight Stable sleepover. Carole, Stevie's best friend, and Stevie also meet Lisa and they definatly don't hit of as friends at first.
It is the first of a wonderful, that I advise for young, girl horse lovers.

5-0 out of 5 stars the best book ever published
In this book a girl named Lisa Atwood startsd riding lessons at pine hollow stables. On Lisa's first lesson somebody slams the door and caused the horse to run wild. then on Lisa second lessson stevie leaves of the stirrup and Lisa starts to cry. 5-0 out of 5 stars Great but very emotional
This is a WONDERFUL book. I love Saddle Club books and I wish I could read them all. But I can't because I can't find any of them. I have read all of the books in my school library and the public libraries. In this book Veronica DiAngalo a snobby rice girl owns a beutiful thourobreed named Colbalt. Carole (a memdber of the Saddle Club) is in love with him. While Veronica can't take care of her horse Carole exercises Colbalt and even teaches him some new trickes. When Veronica's carelessness cause Colbalt his life Carole thinks she will never ride again. When she comes back to the stables she finds out that the horse she usually rides is going to foal and Colbalt is the father! This is an exciting book and I would recomend it to anyone who loves horses.

4-0 out of 5 stars Horse Shy
This book was number two of the Saddle Club. It is about a tragic jumping accident with Colbalt caused by Veronic's carelessness. Carole is heart broken and promised herself that she would never ride again. She stuck to this pretty long too. As she was getting over never riding again her best friends, Steve and Lisa, told her she didn't finish a job. Carole always finished things. When she finally came around and decided to ride again she found out her horse she had been riding was going to have a baby and Colbalt is the father

4-0 out of 5 stars a good light read
Carole is really happy after the Mountain Trail Overnight. Her horse is great, and she gets to help Veronica with Cobalt. Then Veronica rushes Cobalt over a jump and he dies. Carole's whole world comes crashing down, but Stevie and Lisa are amazed that one horses death can keep her from ridng. This is like many other death-of-a-horse books out there: the horse dies, the girl vows never to ride again, then a magic event turns her bak onto riding. But its good! Really good! They shouldve' ended the SC after about 50 books. They start to loose their originality. Most of the plots are: Veronica's a brat, can the saddle club pay her back? or Sonso rides better than Saddle Club member_____...is she jealous, and--that's pretty much it ...

5-0 out of 5 stars Goodbye Cobolt...
Carole, Stevie, and Lisa on finally on the long awaited MTO! They have so much fun, they never want it to end. When they get back, though, Carole is given premission to take care of Veronica's beautiful stallion, Cobolt. Everything's perfect. That is, until Carole gets back from her vacation and is rushed to the barn. It's horrible when she gets there. Cobolt is dead.

After the incident, Carole swears that she'll never ride again. Lisa and Stevie know that Carole loves horses too much to give them up forever. But what can they do?

While this is all happening, Stevie and Lisa are keeping their promise and trying to find out who Max the first really was. The old man is impossible to find info on, though!

Read this book if you want to read a sad, happy, fun, and mishcevious story. Great again, Ms. Bryant!

4-0 out of 5 stars Good
Thiis book was very good, but I found the part about Carole not wanting to ride dragged on for a bit too long. It was good, overall, and the first part of the story was really fun! I reccomend all Saddle Club books! ... Read more

    5-0 out of 5 stars Thoroughbred #7, Samantha's Pride
This book was the greatest!!!! I loved it when Pride won the Derby against "Lord Ainsley". It was so neat!! I would really like to wring Brad Townsend's head. Where does he think HE has any buisness training Pride?! I think Samantha and Ashleigh are the best people with Pride. Even though it was sad when Pride lost the Belmont and the Triple Crown by half a nose, he is still a wonderful colt and I can't wait to see his racing years and foals in the years to come. FIVE STARS!!!!!!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Go Pride!
Sammy and Pride are really makin' it big now! I got so mad at Brad during the book that I almost threw it down! It's been a long time since I've read such an exciting story!

3-0 out of 5 stars plot was okay, facts were not
Okay, the racing aspect of this book was alright, although the problem was solved way too easily. That would never happen in real life. But what really bothered me was the part about Samantha learning to jump. I realize that Sammy is a good rider, but learning to jump 3 feet perfectly in a matter of months is absolutly ridiculas. It takes years to perfect the skill of jumping a course, and it takes years to go from low jumps to 3'. Especially if you are taking 1 lesson a week, like Sammy. I've been jumping for 4 years now, and just last year I started jumping 3 feet, and my courses are still not perfect. Perhaps Sammy's horse never makes a mistake. That's possible. I've seen hunters that don't make mistakes ever. But its just not realistic. And it bothers me because it makes it seem like jumping is so easy.

5-0 out of 5 stars An exciting book
This book really kept me on the edge of my seat. The book made you hate Brad Townsend! Pride is being overaced and all the Townsends can think about is making more money! This is definitely one of the best of the Thoroughbreds and worth every penny. Good for grades 4-7 and horse lovers

5-0 out of 5 stars wow!
This book shows how Sammy has to do something fast to save her wonderful horse from being raced-to death!! Read to see how she does it, or-if she does it!! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Pony Pals #13
This is a great book. Lulu Sanders's father went out to study bears and the couple he was going with had a daughter named Melissa who came to stay at the Sanders house while they were gone. To the Pony Pal's dismay, she cared about nothing but makeovers, manicures, and other things like that. They wanted to convince her that ponies were important, beautiful, and fun to ride. Can they change Melissa's mind? You'll have to read The Girl Who Hated Ponies to find out. I hope you found my reveiw helpful.

5-0 out of 5 stars This is a great book that keeps you on your toes!
Sierra is a three-year-old colt that just doesn't seem to be cut out for flat racing. He seems like he could race, but he just won't stay interested. Everyone at Whitebrook Farm has just about given up on him-except for Samantha McLean, and the stablehand, Len. When Mike is thinking about selling Sierra, Tor, Samantha's boyfriend, steps in with an idea. Why not try turning Sierra into a steeplecahser? Together, Tor and Samantha get Sierra ready for his first 'chase, but a few weeks before, Tor, who was going to ride him in the 'chase, falls and breaks his arm. Samantha, who is unsure of her abilities as a jumper, must ride Sierra. Can she and the intelligent colt make it to the winner's circle? You have to read it to find out!

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome!!!
    Sierra's Last Chance...

Samantha is the head trainer's daughter on Whitebrook Farm. She loves the spirited colt, Sierra, who is destined to become a great racehorse, from the start. But the mischievous colt is always pulling tricks, and he fails dismally in his training to be a flat racer. Everyone, especially Mike, Sierra's owner, and Charlie, who helped Ashleigh turn Ashleigh's Wonder into a champion, is ready to give up on the colt. But when Sierra takes Samantha on a mad gallop through the woods, easily clearing a huge, fallen tree, Samantha's boyfriend, Tor, is sure that the colt could be a champion steeplechaser. When Samantha and Tor begin training Sierra over the jumps of a steeplechase course he does beautifully. Finally he is showing promise! Samantha is excited about the race Tor entered Sierra in--until Mike says that it is Sierra's last chance to prove himself! Samantha is grateful that Tor will be riding Sierra in his first race. Then, only weeks from the race, Tor breaks his arm. Samantha is terrified--she will have to ride the spirited colt over the perilous steeplechase course--and they have to do well. Now, with the race drawing nearer, can things get any worse? This is the best TB book beside #1--A Horse Called Wonder! If you like horses, you should be reading these books!

4-0 out of 5 stars a good book for horse fans.
In this book you meet Sierra, a mischievious colt at Whitebrook farm. Sierra seems to have no potential as a race horse, but Samantha does not want to give up hope. Tor thinks that Sierra will be great at steeplechase so they give it a try. The reason I gave this book four stars was because it was not about horse racing, which was a little disappointing. Also, Pride gets hurt which is sad, and his racing career is threatened.

3-0 out of 5 stars A good book, but not one of the best.
I have been reading the throughbred books for ages and although this one is decent, it is not fantastic. It is not as interesting as some of the others, but the story line is decent. A good read, but not one that you are going to want to read over and over again...

    3-0 out of 5 stars okay ; so-so
i think this book was very good, but the subject/problem just kept on changing. I would reccomend it only to those who have read all the books beforehand and plan to read the ones afterward, just so they would know what is going on. For those who only have read a few, i would reccomend something else (especially "The Secret Voice of Gina Zhang"). ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Adorable New Book Series for Pony Lovers
Lucinda (Lulu) Sanders has always wanted a pony, and now that she's forced to stay in the small town of Wiggins with her Grandmother while her Father explores the Amazon Jungle in Brazil, she thinks that she may just have a chance in getting what she wants. Besides, having a pony would make not having her Father alongside her much easier. Not to mention that she would be able to become Pony Pals with Anna Harley, and her pony Acorn, and Pam Crandal, and her pony Lightning. So when Lulu finds a pony that she knows is in serious danger, she wants to help her. But to help the pony, she'll need the help of two Pony Pals, and a lot of love.

Jeanne Betancourt has created a fantastic book series for young horse lovers with PONY PALS. The three girls (Pam, Lulu, and Anna) are fun characters, who will teach young horse lovers, and/or owners, how to care for ponies, treat them kindly, and just have tons of fun with both their ponies and friends. This is a must-have series for anyone who knows a horse-loving child between the ages of 5-12 years old. They will cherish this series for years to come, and it, in turn, will teach them just how hard owning a pony can be, but also how much fun owning one is.

4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty good!!
I have read almost all the current books in this series and I think this one was a nice start. Not sensational or anything (the 4th super special was pretty close to that) but a good start to the series. People will get a good example of what most Pony Pal books are like from reading this book. Overall, it was fun to read and introduced the series well. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Is there really too many ponies
In this book Pam has to train 2 new ponies.now she hardly has time to ride lightning or spend time with the pony pals.could this be the end of the pony pals. Also lighting is acting very strange because she is protecting kittens.I highly reccomend all pony pal books. They are very good.No matter what age you are.

5-0 out of 5 stars Not A Good Story
I did NOT like this story. I mean, if Lightning was just protecting a cat, she wouldn't act so savagely towards Pam when they wern't around Fat Cat's kittens. This book is a little silly and mixed-up. NOT reccomended!

3-0 out of 5 stars A little unrealistic..
This was a good story, but I think it was a bit unrealistic. Ponies don't usually do things like protect kittens like that. I also don't think ponies get near as jealous as the authour made out. Otherwise, the story was fun and the plot was interesting. I reccomend all Pony Pal books!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Good Book
Pam has to train 2 new ponies for her mom's training center, but the other Pony Pals and Lightning, Pam's pony, don't understand while Pam is neglecting them. Will Pam be able to train the ponies and keep her friendship alive?

5-0 out of 5 stars Will lightning survive
I really liked this book. In it Pam is going to enter a horse show with lightining then lightining gets very ill.The pony pals do not know what is wrong with her.So they decide to have a barn sleep over and you won't believe what is making lightining sick.Read it and you will find out.You should buy all pony pal books no matter what your age are.

4-0 out of 5 stars Nice story
It was good. It was about Pam's pony getting sick and no one knows why. I think the author did a very good job, it was quite a good reason. The pony pals did a good job figuring it out. It was a good example, and if anyone is ever in the same situation, do what they did in this book. The plot was good and interesting. Read this book if you like ponies!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Can the pony pals solve the mystery?
Pam's pony Lightening gets sick because of a mystery illness which causes her an upset stomach. One night the Pony Pals take it in turns to watch Lightening to see if they can solve the mystery and give them the answer to the problem. When its Pam's turn, she sees a strange girl feeding Lightening apples. I really like the ending in this book, and I think the Pony Pals are pretty smart.

5-0 out of 5 stars this book is one of the best pony pal books
I think pony in troble is so cool. I think I would like toread it again because it was a cool how the pony pals found out whatwas making lightning so sick. Also because i kinda can conect with how pam felf when lightning coliced because when my colt tucker coliced last year and almost died i blamed my self when it was because he nocked his water trolf over and didnt get anough water. well any way i thought it was a great book.

5-0 out of 5 stars will anna keep acorn
this was the first pony pal book I read I really liked it.Anna has bad grades in school. her parents say if she don't get them up she will have to give Acorn up.will acorn have to move to another home.you need to read this book.

5-0 out of 5 stars Don't think you can only do one thing in life.
Anna was not doing well in School so her parents said if your grades don't improve you will lose your pony Acorn. Anna, Pam, and Lulu made a plan. I like this book because it teaches you you can't just do one thing in life. I recommend this book to people who like sad stories that turn out good.

5-0 out of 5 stars the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this is a good book! anna's mom and dad say if her grades don't go up she can't keep acorn! will acorn stay or go? me and my pony like this book a lot!

1-0 out of 5 stars what a poor excuse for a book
i hate this book! Anna is sooo mean! shedoesn't know what Acorn likes. If I were her,I would just let Acorn do what he liked. He is not stupid. there would be no harm. And whats all this pony junk? I mean, come on! Ponies and horses are the same thing! And why do you measure them in hands? Everyone's hand is a different size! This book is really weird. Read it if you like, but the only part i really thought was cool was when the pony pals leaped their horses. I mean, horses aren't natural leapers like wolves and deer. It must have been tough!

5-0 out of 5 stars Pretty Good
The Pony Pals books are a little unrealistic;you can tell by the illustrations that Pam,Anna, and Lulu are getting a little big for their ponies, and Acorn Is Really big for a Shetland pony. But aside from that,I really liked this book. I think it was great that Anna got to keep Acorn. I would be so upset if someone took away my pony! Plus,Acorn is lively and sweet,so I think he and Anna are a perfect match! Acorn reminds me of my pony Lucky. They are both kind, courageous, feisty, and have a mind of their own! I hope you enjoy this great book! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars The last of the classic Campbell Thoroughbred books
Cindy's Glory is the last book in the Thoroughbred series that Joanna Campbell wrote herself. As of spring 2003, the series has grown to 57 titles, 4 super editions, three reissues, and a spin-off Ashleigh series, which makes the original 14 books and 2 super editions even more precious. Most loyal readers agree that Joanna Campbell, as the original author and creater, was the best. She created real situations with flawed but likable characters. Even Cindy's Glory, however, slips a little on the scale.

Cindy's Glory is the story of Cindy Blake, an orphan who is staying temporarily at Whitebrook Farm with Ian and Beth MacLean, and their daughter Samantha. In the previous book, Cindy's Runaway Colt, Cindy found a stray colt named Glory and hid him while she tried to convince the MacLeans to save him from his abusive owners - who, it turned out, had stolen him. Now he is up for auction, so Cindy and her friend Heather Gilbert determine to train him as a racehorse to prove he's good enough for Whitebrook to buy.

Campbell is notorious for having her heroines - Ashleigh, the original character who started the series, and then Samantha - go off slightly half-cocked when it comes to horses. You really have to ignore the fact that two twelve-year-old girls are galloping a racehorse; if you do you'll be able to handle the whole book. Don't get hung up on the fact that it's totally unreasonable; this is one example of the way Campbell was definitely on the way out when she wrote this book.

Otherwise Campbell does a good job. Cindy's fear at being taken away from her foster home at Whitebrook is very real, as is her gratitude at being part of a loving family. And her relationship with Glory is much like Ashleigh's with her beloved mare Wonder, but not a carbon copy. Longtime readers will manage to find parallels and enjoy the bond between them, but it won't feel like Campbell ran out of things to say and just cut-and-pasted Ashleigh and Wonder stories.

Joanna Campbell wrote Thoroughbred books #1-14, the super editiongs Ashleigh's Christmas Miracle and Ashleigh's Diary, and the first three books of the Ashleigh series: Lightning's Last Hope, A Horse for Christmas, and Waiting for Stardust. She also wrote Battlecry Forever! and Star of Shadowbrook Farm, which were released as part of the "Ashleigh's Book Collection" series. If you plan to read Thoroughbred I recommend you start with #1 and go up, because the original 14 books really were the best.

5-0 out of 5 stars A great book!
Okay, I'll admit it, I read the end 50 gazillion times! This is such a good book! Cindy works so hard at getting Glory ready, and your not sure even though there's lot's of books with 'Glory' in the title ahead of this book. The auction is good, Mike was smart, that's all I can other than READ THIS BOOK!

5-0 out of 5 stars this book is the best so far
This book is a bomb. It was sad when they had to take Glory away.

4-0 out of 5 stars just should not have happened
i can't believe that cindy isn't going to stay at whitebrook and glory either. or do they? read the book find the answers. i love horses liek cindy and ashleigh do. maybe i will be just like them- someday.

1-0 out of 5 stars This book was terrible!
This book was awful! I mean come on! I'm 16 and I love TBs! I have one of my own and it took me 1 year just to get him to canter under control! No way she could ride for 6 months and be galloping him under control! And come on! Why does every one of Cindy's horses turn out to be a champion?! it does not happen like that! I can't believe Mike actually bought Glory! Glory bothers me. He's doesn't act like a typical TB! Mine was raced and he is still hyper even after we gelded him and got him off the track! I hate to think of what he was like as a stud on the track! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars One Of The Best...
I just finished this book and I really loved it. Brad and his little wife mad me, shall we say really mad. Why can't they just leave Ashleigh and Pride alone. And when Charlie died I cried. Other than Ashleigh he is my favorite character. I really loved the way Ashleigh spread Charlie's ashes. I also really like the way Campbell had a mixture of steeplechases, racing, and some jumping. She really knows how to write a good book. A must read for Thoroughbred fans.

5-0 out of 5 stars Give us more STARS!
I don't think 5 stars is enough for this book. It needs at least eight. I loved it. I HATE Brad and Lavinia. What a bunch of jerks! Pooor Pride, he tries so hard, and all they do is pick on him. They could have killed him in #7. Brad & L. need to move to Australia or something. Sorry all you folks from Australia. This book was great. Next to Samantha's Journey it is one of the best. I HATE, HATE, HATE, HATE Brad and Lavinia. And why did Charley have to die? He's the only other person, besides maybe Jilly and Linda, that believed in Wonder. I cry every time I read this book. I LOVE IT... I LOVE HORSES!!! HORSES RULE!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is the most amazing book i have EVER seen( I like to read Books so imagine how many I have read)! Joanna Cambell is Amazing! I hope they come out with MORE,MORE,MORE!!!!!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars again, magnificent!
THIS WAS ANOTHER FANTASTIC ONE!! Again, Sammy has to fight for Pride. Read to see if she can win THIS time ... Read this!!Please keep the series going so when I'm a little older I can write in it(I want to be an author.)!! ...

5-0 out of 5 stars It' awesome!
This is one of my favourites since Ashleigh and Samantha are my favourite characters. But, I ABSOLUTELY HATE BRAD AND LAVINIA! I cried when charlie died. Did you know that if Lavinia hadn't told Charlie to retire gracefully, he wouldn't have had that much stress and have died! Lavinia should be charged with murder! She's a....well I can't say it. But you get my point. Anyways, I laughed when Lavinia wanted to name mr. Wonderful after herself! it was hilarious. and what kind of a name is Lavinia anyway??? sounds like some french garden salad dressing. Anyways. I'm glad Pride kept beating them, it was funny, however i have nothing against Lord Ainsley who's a cutie pie. But as far as Brad goes!!!! I know it's a fictional story but I thought ASHLEIGH was gunna die from high blood pressure. And she's only
22! Anyways, let's fast forward a bit. I agree with most of you when you say that Cindy's a bit of a snob, no more snobbish then Christina. AND WHY ON EARTH DID SHE GIVE UP STERLING? I thought she was the horse of her dreams??? then STAR comes along. HA! i've got nothing against him since he' a sweetie, but what's with the Connection with him? We read each other's minds!? please Christina, your not a horse whisperer. And haven't you noticed how Star ignores you completely when your on the ground? it' just when your in the saddle that he behaves perfectly for. it's probably just cause the others are fatter then you or something, maybe he reacts to fattness, he may have a sensitive back you know. Sheesh! and what' with your hair colour? Blonde or Brown? or red? Sorry to get carried away, just some flaws bug me. Toot-a-loo ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Almost Perfect
A great book! I was impressed that this book begins EXACTLY where 'Pride's Challenge' ends. After Pride's win in the Whitney, and with Ashleigh protesting about Brad's instructions and the way Alvero nearly ruined Pride. The book would have great suspense in the beginning for anyone who doesn't read the back of the book. They shouldn't say, on the back, that Pride wins his race in the Breeders Cup and is named Horse of the Year. The whole first half of the book is about "will Pride win the classic?" "will he make Horse of the Year?" "will he beat Lord Ainsley?" (and show Brad and Lavinia Townsend?!) I also have to warn anybody who would like to be spared "mushy stuff". I mean...Tor gave her "a big, smacking kiss on the lips"? I started reading at the wrond end of the series, with 'Star's Chance', and I noticed that 'Fallen Star' has almost the exact same plot as this book. "At the height of his racing career... he suddenly develops a deadly illness... he may never race again--he may not even live..." But aside from those things I recommend this book to anyone who's willing to cry a little bit.

5-0 out of 5 stars A VERY GOOD BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is an awesome book!! It is very sad and very good at the same time. I cried when Pride almost died. The best part of the book is when he got named Horse of the Year and beat Brad's and Lavinia's horse, Lord Ainsley, to get it. But after the Breeder's cup and heading into his five-year-ols season, Pride comes down with a deadly disease. Only with Samatha's and Ashleigh's love for Pride did he recover and moved back to Whitebrook from the clinic. That was the ultimate best part in the whole book. It was realy cool how he recovered in the night with Samantha's love and care. Then did Pride noticed that he had to get better to be with the people he loved and he improved in just 12 hours!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars WOW! what suspence!
That was a great book! when samantha woke up in the vet's office I THOUGHT THAT PRIDE WAS DEAD!and I started to cry in 3rd p.then when he was better I cried again with tears of joy!
that was one of the best books I have EVER read!GREAT JOB 2 JOANNA CAMPBELL!

5-0 out of 5 stars I love this book!
This book is great! I started reading it and couldn't put it down. This is defiantly one of those books that you can't stop reading. If you love the TB series, then read this book!

5-0 out of 5 stars Fantastic!
This book was fantastic! I love Pride and Samantha. Pride finishs his wonderful 3 year-old racing career and Ashleigh and Samantha can't wait for his 4 year-old season. But, when Samantha and Tor come back from a dance and go check on Pride he is laying down and wildly thrashing his legs. Read the book to find out what happens. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars WHERE DID EVERYONE GO!!!!!!!
Where is Wonder,Shining,Fleet Goddess and Siera go? Who ever the writer is now, please write a reunion book and tell us why Samantha moved to Ireland and left Shining at Whitebrook!! Cindy seems to have disappeared, so where did she go! I am a big Thoroughbred fan and why did you skip Christina from three to twelve?? I liked and Champion and Glory, so please bring at least some of their offspring back! PLEASE! Otherwise I might stop reading these great books! Also, why is almost the entire book about Eventing? I mean the Thoroughbred series is about Racing, right?????? Also, Cindy could have had ten more books about her and I would of read them, Same with Ashleigh and Samantha. JOANNA, PLEASE COME BACK!!!!!!! Emily, Australia

4-0 out of 5 stars The horse of her dreams
I think this is the first time i have given one of the thoroughbred books a 4 star rating! it was a well written book but there were so many mistakes that i couldnt give it 5 stars!! Okay first and foremost i thought the series was supposed to be about racing. Its great that they expose other "horse sports" but that seems to take away from the series main focus: RACING. I love eventing as much as the next person but i would have liked the focus to be racing. Anywhoo... Where did max, cindy, samantha, tor, mandy, honor, champion etc. go?? They should have at least mentioned what the characters were doing, where they went or something!! for as much as i didnt like cindy (and the townsends!) I miss them. the story isnt complete with the townsends. Which brings me to my next complaint: Legacy. If he was supposed to be wonder's last foal then why is star in this series?? They dont even mention him ever again untill much later in the series (i think like any where between book 45-50 something)and only because christina felt guilty. poor legacy. aside from the huge time gap (in 23 wasnt christina like 3 or 4) now she is 12, and the missing characters this book was pretty good. I think if this book would have happened later when the time was right it would have gotten better ratings. they should have continued writing about previous charaters and saved this book for some other time.

2-0 out of 5 stars WHERE IS EVERYBODY??????
WHAT HAPPENED?!?!? Did this whole series just fall apart? This is a pretty good book if youv'e never read the Thoroughbred books before, but if you have your'e probably wondering where all the people went-Cindy,Max,Samantha,Tor,Yvonne,Mandy.....And What About The HORSES?? What happened to the series? I know they fixed it and turned it back to racing, but still,it leaves the whole eventing epidemic just it's own story! It's like Thoroughbred Ashleigh:RACING Thoroughbred 1-23:EVENTING Thouroughbred 34 and beyond:RACING(hopefully) If this is your first Thoroughbred book, read in order up to 33,then go to #1 and read up from there,(skipping the ones youv'e read before) and pretend the ones youv'e read before were a tottaly different series.

5-0 out of 5 stars FANTASTIC BOOK
This book was great! It deserves at LEAST 10 stars. This book is about a girl named Christina Reese, who wants to get an event horse. Chris goes to the track one day and sees a dapple gray mare named Sterling Dream-her dream horse. When the beautiful mare jumps the fence off of the track, Chris knows this is the jumper she's been dreaming of. She sees the groom whipping Sterling with a huge crop and knows she has to save her.Chris trades her own racehorse for Sterling. GREAT BOOK! I RECOMMEND TO ANYBODY WHO LOVES HORSES!
