Great carry along book!
Whoever thought of the idea of putting a handle on a hard cover book is a genius. It's perfect for a 2-3 year old to tote the book everywhere with them. My 3 year old son loves Buzz & Woody and this was a great gift. He carries it to him to bed, and carries it with him when he gets up. Wished they had more Disney books with the handle!

misguiding name
This is a nice book containing stories from both movies. I was a little disappointed because they called it a carry a long treasury, leading me to believe it was a case filled with several books. It is just one single book with a handle on it for some reason.

Great book!
Even though this book is meant for kids, I bought it anyway. I'm 16 and I really want to be an animator when I'm older, and surprisingly this book really helped me learn to draw all the Toy Story 1 & 2 characters on my own. The characters are computer-animated in the movie, but this book helps you bring them alive on paper, too. I have all the books in this series and I LOVE them all, they seriously helped my cartooning skills & they're fun to use as well! ... Read more

Just o.k.
I bought this book with the hope that it could replace the videotape that my four-year old son is wearing out.He likes for me to read this book to him but he always stops me so he can fill in the gaps in this adaptation.He was especially touched by the scene in the movie where Buzz fails to fly and realizes he is a toy, but this scene is omitted from the book, so we always have to recreate it, which can be fun.Still, he was disappointed not to see it in the book and always, I mean always, asks why it was not included.The illustrations are very good; they appear to be straight from the movie but, overall, this book doesn't capture the spirit of the movie. It is a good option for travelling if you don't want to bring the video or dvd and you can act out the omitted scenes with your child.

I would say that it has bright and lovely pictures that you would love!Buy this book for your children!

Lovely pictures from the movie
My four year old son loves this book, mainly because of the large pictures from the movie. These pictures are of an excellent quality. And for the dads (and mums) there's not too much text so you still have an evening leftafter reading this book before your child goes to sleep! ... Read more

Wonderful set
This is a wonderful set of four board books. It comes packaged in a cute box as well. My son likes these books I would recomend getting them

Great for the busy little person
My one year old son recieved this boxed set of 4 books as a Easter gift from his grandmother. Its one of his favorites. He not only loves the books, but they come in this neat little box with a handle. He will go get them, bring them to his father or I, take one book out at a time for us to read, then after we have read them he puts them back in the box . The storys are cute and not too long.

Toy Story 2: Sheriff Woody and the Roundup Gang
I reviewed this little box packet of 4 books for my 1 1/2 yr grandson who is in love with Toy Story. It is a wonderful set of books because it is an easy carry "suitcase" for little hands and each book is on a different character. Perfect size for little hands, very colorful. After reviewing it at a local store I am now purchasing through Amazon and mailing this as a surprise. I chose this one over other options because of its versatility for a child as it is usually difficult for my grandchildren to choose just one book and young children love things packaged neatly. ... Toy Story The Offical Novelization
Toy story The Offical Novelization was a great book it had the Spirit of the film captured in it. The Photos were GREAT! They were limited on the Mutant toys photos which i like! It's a great novel Buy if you can I got my copy from Value Village so its pretty rare But overall great book!

Could Have Been Better
It may seem odd reviewing a flip book, but I expect a better quality product to come with Pixar. The first side has the record player scene from the cover. The horse is all but jammed inside the binding of the book. The whole scene should have been moved over to the right more. Secondly, they use the motion blur effect on the characters. While this may work on the large screen, it's irritating in a flip book. I would much rather have seen the characters sharply on every page. Finally they could have chosen a better scene for the second side then the Rex/Slinky Dog segment. Like their previous Bug's Life flip book of Dot running toward the camera, there are better scenes in Toy Story 2 to draw from that illustrate the magic and appeal of CGI.
