One of our favorites!
My daughter loves Veggietales and especially the whole Educational Series that they came out with including, Shapes, Colors, Opposites, etc. They are catchy with their fun rhymes and rhythms, bright colors, and familiar friends. If you want good clean fun, education, and further imparting good Christian values...VeggieTales are a way to go.

My Daughter Loves This Book
My daughter is now 20 months, but has loved it since she was 6 months.

Engaging romp through the alphabet
Alphabet Larry and Alphabet Bob are great tour guides through the alphabet. It helps if you've watched a few of the VeggieTales videos so that you'll "get" all the references (such as a hero with plungers and Qwerty). But even if you've never seen one, the art and rhythm of the text are engaging to all children. My son's loved it ever since he was just a few months old. And if I need him to calm down when he's crying, I just start reciting the book. My only complaint: X, Y and Z get short shrift!

This book really lives up to the VeggieTales reputation!
Our whole family likes our Veggies, and Bob and Larry's ABC's was no disappointment. The rhymes and rhythm of the text is enchanting to even the youngest of children. The book combines education with humor and familiar scenes from the VeggieTales movies to produce a book that is absolutely delightful! More Than Just Colors.
Little kids love this book that stars Junior Asparagus. Junior opens his color box and with a little help from his friends, shows his favorite colors. This book is more interesting and entertaining than many color books. It also provides some laughs (even for adults) and has a lesson about God. Great book for kids three and younger.

Wonderful teaching book
My 2 year old LOVES this book. It's right up there with Winnie the Pooh. When she gets whiney, I ask her to go get Junior's colors & she eagerly gets it. She even asks for it while sitting in the car. It's possibly the vibrant colors & the familiarity of "the veggies". She already knows all her colors, but it is a great reinforcement in her learning.

Another hit from Big Idea!
My son (age 2) loves this book! And it really is helping him learn his colors! We read it over and over... he's constantly bringing me "Crayon Story" for another reading. It has the 3R's of children's books... rhythm, rhyme, and repetition, as well as humor and story. Also, it's gentle reminder that God made the world has gotten us talking about Creation in general.

One of my son's favorites!
When I ask my 14-month-old to go get a book for Mommy to read, more often than not he comes back with Junior's Colors. I don't know what it is about the book, but when he gets to the last page ("But Bob is very RED") he just giggles! I guess a red tomato with a big grin on his face is kind of funny to a toddler. My baby loves these books
My baby got all these veggie tale books for his first birthday and he just LOVES them. I wish there were more because I seem to read them over and over to him. The small size makes these books appeal to him and I often find him sitting and looking at the pictures by himself. They are also easy to put in my purse to take places. Also the paper is sturdier than most books so he doesn't seem to crinkle the pages. The best birthday gift we received!

My son LOVES this book!
We received this book as a Christmas gift when my son was 14 months old, and it quickly became a favorite. Its rhythmic cadence and rhyme scheme make it fun to read, and the colorful pictures are great. Best of all, though, is the SPLASH! page that comes near the end. My son knows it's coming, and gets excited every time--in fact, one of his first words was "Splash!" I only wish these books came in board format--even with the sturdy laminated pages, my son did rip that favorite page in his eagerness to get to it!

The best children's book I've ever read!
I read this book every night to my 9 month old daughter. She really likes the pictures and rhymes. I'm buying it for my friend's son and my niece for their second birthday- I'm sure they will enjoy it as much as we do. It is the best children's book I've seen so far.

Fun to Read!
My 2 1/2 year old loves this book! The story is funny and the pictures are very colorful. Best of all, he is learning to count to 10 everytime we read it together (which is 4 or 5 times a day!!!) We also have Jr's Colors, but this book is the clear favorite in our house. ... Read more

But still a good book. Pa Grape is looking for tires for his car and tries the silliest of shapes, including a triangle, square and oval tire... before finding a circle. While the book itself is average or better, it really falls short of the VeggieTales excellence. ... Read more

In a lighthouse on the prairie, lives a mouse named Gruntly and his froggy friend Iggy. Gruntly is an inventive mouse and has a passion for sculpting cheese toes. Gentle, Original Story and Pictures
I have not seen a children's book with as detailed and exciting computer illustrations as this.

The guys who make Veggie Tales present Mr. Gruntly Fromage, a mouse, and the Reverend Ignatious O. Bumblesmog a frog who looks something like a snake with long wool knit socks.

In this adventure, Iggy and Gruntly work on their cheese sculptor and stinky socks.

This highly original, delightful tale mixes the gentle friendship of "Frog and Toad Together" with the silliness of Dr. Suess, with a dash of Shel Silverstein tossed in.

I fully recommend "The Great Cheese Squeeze" Bryan Ballinger and Keith Lango.

Wacky & Wonderful
The story is rich with details. I loved the lighthouse on the prairie. My two boys were constantly quizzing me on the sillyness. The animation is breath taking. I fell in love with Gruntly and anyone who knows me, knows I dislike mice greatly! So, when is the next one?

Awesome graphics!
The illustrations in this book are exceptional. There are so many 3-D details from the life-like expressions on the characters' faces (Iggy's face as he's trying to reinflate hot dogs with a bicycle pump is priceless!)to the crumbs of cheese on Gruntly's workshop floor to the labels on the jars of Iggy's buggy bits. The story line is entertaining and has a good message about the importance of working together to achieve goals, yet it isn't preachy nor does it talk down to kids. And there is just the right amount of grossness to really appeal to kids (stinky toes, bug parts, dirty socks). It's the kind of book you can read over and over and not get tired of, because you find something new each time. I bought one for my neice and my co-worker's son.

My 4 year old loves it
Great characters, story, and fun illustrations entertain my 4 year old daughter. Silly enough to keep me entertained through numerous bedtime readings. It has high rotation in our house.

A great book for all ages!
This whimsical, quirky story about friends helping each other is great reading! The illustrations are FANTASTIC, the storyline is very engaging ... My 10-yr-old son and 7-yr-old daughter [as well as me!] absolutely love it!

Good,not bad at all
I'm 11 years old but kinda enjoyed the book. I'ts about Tom the Grape doing his daily stuff like most of us(waking up for school,taking a bath,having dinner with his family,etc).

Younger kids will enjoy the book,but adults as well.

A fun way to learn to tell time.
The bright, colorful pictures and the short, catchy rhymes make this book a winner for any age at any time. There is repetition; here's the ringing refrain, "It's time for Tom...." is said again and again. A clock on each page shows the time that is said, from rising at 8 'til at 9 Tom's in bed. The only regret I have as I read is the times for Tom's life do not match our speed. He rises at 8 and his school starts at 9; we lunch at eleven while at noontime Tom dines. Veggies ARE good for you!
My daughter (2 1/2) is totally in LOVE with the VeggieTales. And I don't mind her listening/watching them. For once good stories that teach morals. The tape gives her a chance to listen to VeggieTales while we are driving around town. The whole family has been known to break out into song a few times.
