Delightful!

Adorable! Full of fun things for baby to look at and learn!
This book is so cute! Anything Pooh is adorable, but this has rhymes that get baby involved like Pat-A-Cake and This Little Piggy and Open Them/Shut them! (and it tells you how to do the motions!) Older babies will love the Letters, Numbers, Colors and Five Senses sections! FUN!

Awesome
My son learned his ABC's at 14 mths because of this book and now at 22 mths he can resight the endings of sentences. I personally love this book and highly recommand it!

The illustrations are sweet and appeal to young children. ABC's is my favorite in the Learn and Grow series, with 123, by Lisa Ann Marsoli, and Colors, by Andrea Doering tied for second. Images are charming, but the content is not clear.
"There's a party today for Winnie the Pooh! Let's tag along and learn shapes, too!" This sweet little board book captures babies attention with a pleasantly rhythmic beat while teaching shapes: circle, square, rectangle, triangle, heart, oval, diamond, and star. The illustrations are charming and appeal to young children, however, the text does not reference the individual shapes as a reinforcing teaching tool. For instance, the word SQUARE is placed next to the "square shaped blocks", but does not appear in the text itself. Emphasizing the word to the shape facilitates better learning, and the reason why this book receives a three star review. "Shapes," is not my favorite in the Learn and Grow Board Book series, however, the images are charming, and the prose is pleasing. Birth and up.

As a recommendation, Julie Aigner-Clark's, "See and Spy Shapes" by The Baby Einstein Company is an excellent book for teaching shapes.

Excellent Book! I would buy this for a friend's child
My 15 month old loves this book. It has a story line of Winnie-the-Pooh's birthday party, and uses gifts to show the shapes. The pictures are colorful. Sweet book!

Why is Disney Here?
There are pluses and minuses to this edition of traditional rhymes, but mostly minuses. The pluses are that the drawings are indeed very engaging for the baby/toddler age group that the book is meant for. Also, the rhymes selected are of good quality and, as another reviewer wrote, free of some of the darker ones you find in older collections.

That being said, why is Disney here? Disney did not invent or originally draw the Hundred Acre Woods characters, nor did it have a hand in the nursery rhymes. The original drawings by A.A. Milne had greater depth (mostly appreciated by the adult reader, but who knows?) and Disney's tendency to introduce itself and it's products everywhere has become annoying. This would be find if these products didn't carry it's strange social agenda with it (page nine finds Pooh guarding his house with *a gun*, albeit a pop-gun, but a gun nontheless. What could be more anti-Pooh?).

Lastly, the title is somewhat misleading--the rhymes are not "of" Winne the Pooh (although there are lyrics aplenty in Milne's original) but tradition ones.

In sum, this collection's presentation detracts from Milne, yet does a satisfactory job of selecting poems. Two stars for that (selecting poems is the easier half of the job).

Another winner from Disney Press
I could not be more pleased with the content and illustrations in this book. Classic nursery rhymes with pictures of Pooh and the whole gang. Many fun and educational pictures to go along with rhymes like " Head and Shoulders, Knees and Toes ". This book leaves out some of the de-moralizing stories you might find in other books that just seem out of date and leaves in great coordination games and encouraging rhymes. I would definitley reccomend this book to any parent or grandparent. Five stars just are not enough.

Great book! I purchased it for a 3 year old who could not get enough of it. the pictures mixed with the short easy tunes, are a perfect combination to keep children entertained for hours.

A book of classic nursery rhymes with Pooh illustrations.
This is an outstanding book for children who love Pooh. It is filled with classic nursery rhymes such as Hickory Dickory Dock, London Bridge, and Hush Little Baby. This book is a favorite with my two year old daughter, she can sing along with about a quarter of the songs and we have only had the book two weeks. A little Thin but an excellent book!
Even though you could go to walmart and spend the same amount or maybe 10 bucks more, you wouldn't get a book thats as good of quality as this one. This book isnt a journal at all its a memory book for your child. It's filled with pages to write down all kinds of firsts. IN fact, besides several pages for pictures, the whole book is about baby's firsts. some of them you wouldn't even think of. If you want a simple book without any BS then this is your book. Not to mention its very cute! I got just what I wanted when I ordereed this book although I did feel cheated for paying 10 bucks for it. its worth 8 I'd say.

Very beautiful images!
I received my order in a very timely manner and when I first glanced at the book, the pictures and colors were vibrant and immediately caught my attention! As I flipped through this thin but very nicely made book, there are several spaces for pictures such as a sonogram picture to introduce your little one in its growing process, to spaces available to write in dates as of when your child first said his/her first word, to his/her first pair of shoes. I find that this book may be a bit too thin for the amount of items that might be pasted in it so it might tend to be a bit "overpacked" but I would surely recommend it to a Winnie the Pooh fan! Great book for kids (and adults, as well)
My 2 1/2-year-old discovered Pooh on the Disney video. However, she wanted to hear about his adventures at bedtime, so I bought this book. Now she actually prefers it to the video, which makes everyone happy. Of all of her Pooh books, this is her favorite.

Pooh, Gotta Love Him
I have been reading Pooh stories to my children for many years. When my oldest son was little, Pooh was his nickname. How great to have these wonderful stories to give to my grandchildren. It is like passing on part of my sons childhood to their children. Both of my grandchildren love Pooh just as much as their Daddy's did. Pooh, Tigger, Piglet and the rest will never go away. I have to confess, I'm the Nana, but I love reading these stories to my grandchildren. They are my favorites too.

If you like the movie, you'll love the book!
We bought the movie for my daughter's 2nd Birthday. She loves the movie so much that she has almost the whole thing memorized, but the real fun started when we found the book. She sits down and "reads" the book herself. This book is so close the the movie that she can repeat the story as she looks at the pictures in the book. My daughter's FAVORITE book!
My 10 month old daughter loves this book! She smiles and laughs at the colorful pictures and the rhyming story. We've read it so much that we know the story by heart and when she gets fussy we can recite it to her and she calms right down! We are buying another copy because the first one is getting worn out!

A great introduction to Pooh!
We love this book! My son received this book for his 1st birthday and it quickly became a favorite, even though he didn't know Pooh at the time. The pictures are bright and colorful, and my son finds new things to point out all the time (Pooh & his friends, flowers, balloons, etc.). For a paperback, it was pretty sturdy.
