~Lots of Fun and Educational, Too~
My five year old son loves this book and tape set. It only took a few weeks until he learned all of the words and terms. Although, we wish that a more advanced version were offered because we've been searching for a more advanced program and nothing has been as fun as this and Learn Spanish in the Kitchen. learning by heart
Initially I was disappointed that this tape was so short but it has worked out well since I am starting to know it by heart.My kids listen to it again and again.I would say the recording is done by native speakers which is important to me.The vocabulary is appropriate for the intended age level and the book is nice on it's own. I wish this were one of a series: we'd buy more.

choosing rhymes
We used this book and cassette in my French class for 4th - 6th graders.They loved the choosing rhymes(eenie, meenie,minie, mo). They were a great introduction to pronounciation and intonation.Fun and practical.

Excellent!
For my six years old daughter who has just begun to learn french, this casette -and also the beautiful book- was an excellent help by introducing her to this language. She have learned many very usefull words very quicklyand she had fun.

Not Spanish. Mostly English
I love Linda Rondstadt so that is why this review gets a 4 star. It is a cute story but there is not much Spanish. It is good for learning a few words and phrases but not for listening to spoken Spanish which is what I had wanted. ... Read more

Great Teacher's Aide
This book is a must-have for teachers and students of the French 5 AP Language course. It has hundreds of examples of actual test questions and a very complete vocabulary list. Highly recommended!!

Tool for teachers
This book is a must for teachers teaching (or tutors tutoring) for the AP French Language exam. It includes hundreds of opportunities for students to get practice taking the difficult exam (it has sections from every part of the test, taken from actual past exams). I teach intermediate spanish students and have found this to be very helpful in improving listening comprehension. The chapters are short enough to not overwhelm the students, and interesting enough to keep their attention. Additionally, there is new and useful vocabulary, but it is not too difficult. ... Not as good as I expected...
Trying to learn Irish, I found there was no way I could have understood this book without a fundemental understanding of Irish grammar, which you can always do for free online. I wouldn't recommend getting this if you don't know anything about the language.

I also found in this book the speakers speak very fast, and though I know this is how the language is spoken it is very, very difficult to relate what they are saying in the cassette to any of the text in the book.

I suppose this would do if you are planning to visit Ireland and want a rudementary understanding of the language, but if you are seriously interested in learning this then I suggest you look elsewhere. ... Read more

The kids in my french classrooms love, and REMEMBER, zozo
The combination of useful and fun phrases (au secours!) and excellent, humorous sound effects caught the attention of my French students and my own children, who repeatedly ask to hear Zozo again. Best of all, it is a painless, entertaining (not patronizing) introduction to the first hundred French words in a audio context that makes each phrase supremely memorable. I was given another Teresa Scibor book/tape called "French Start - Learn First French through Songs and Games" which not only offered an excellent foundation for the children to happily learn a lot of French, but became a real "mentor" for me, ultimately teaching me how to approach teaching French to children in a joyful, engaging, memorable and understandable way. If you can find it, absolutely buy it. And what's best: if you don't speak a word of French, Teresa Scibor's work will teach you (if you want) as well as your kids.

Great for Kids 6 and under
