Book Description

The Raelians came to the attention of the world in 2002 when the spokesperson for Clonaid, a company founded by Raelian followers, announced that the first human clone had been born-a claim that although has not been independently substantiated, prompted outrage and condemnation from scientists, religious organizations, and the White House.

Aliens Adored is the first full length, in-depth look at the Raelian movement, a fascinating new religion founded in the 1970s by charismatic prophet, Raël. Born in France as Claude Vorilhon, the former race-car driver started the religion after he experienced a visitation from the aliens (the "elohim") who, in his cosmology, created humans by cloning themselves. The millenarian movement awaits the return of the alien creators, and in the meantime seeks to develop the potential of its adherents through free love, sexual experimentation, opposition to nuclear proliferation and war, and the development of the science of cloning.

Sociologist Susan J. Palmer has studied the Raelian movement for more than a decade, observing meetings and rituals, and enjoying unprecedented access to the group's leaders as well as to its rank-and-file members. In Aliens Adored she provides a thorough analysis of the movement, focusing on issues of sexuality, millenarianism, and the impact of the scientific worldview on religion and the environment. Palmer traces Raël's philosophy and the formation of the Raelian subculture. Raël's radical sexual ethics, his gnostic anthropocentricism, and shallow ecotheology offer us a mirror through which we see how our worldview has been shaped by the forces of globalization, postmodernism, and secular humanism. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome....
I read this big book twice and Im amazed at the information given on subjects, OTHER than UFO stuff. Everyone always talked about Billy and UFO's and this book has a fair share of it, but what it really does is give you an in depth look at where humans came from, how the solar system has changed over millions of years, religion and its brainwashing, spirituality as I've never heard before and many more topics... In the book he even gives future predictions of what will happen if we don't wake up as humans and talks about predictions that he predicted many years ago that already came true... This is a truly amazing piece of information..

5-0 out of 5 stars Finally - NEW information about Billy Meier
If you are interested in the Billy Meier contacts, this is a "Must Read" book. Very well done and informative with so many color photographs!

4-0 out of 5 stars Worth the read
This was a thorough book on the Billy Meier case. The only gripe I have is for the money there should have been a few more pictures. The only thing that would have convinced me more is if I had had a close encounter of my own.

2-0 out of 5 stars second hand info...
I read this book with open eyes! All the information was second hand or a friend of a friend of a friend... I was disapointed in the writing.

5-0 out of 5 stars Lots of amazing claims.
Personally, I've never seen an UFO, and I've always regarded this issue just as misinterpretations of unusual natural phenomena, hallucinations or outright lies. But there's this Billy Meier's case which has so many unexplained evidence to support his claims: clear UFOs photos, videos, sounds which have been analyzed by experts and found no evidence of fraud, and even purported extraterrestrial metal alloys were examined and the samples' properties and internal structures were extremely unusual, to say the least.

Furthermore, if the case were real, then it's conceivable that it would face harsh treatment, so as to discredit it, since those in power would try to seize whatever knowledge could be gained from these unexpected visitors (read: The day after Roswell by Colonel Philip Corso).

And yes, the book is full of incredible statements and some of the so-called beamships looks ridiculous (no fancy design), but how a time-travel-capable-spaceship should look like?.

So, you'll find lots of amazing claims and yet a consistent story, supported by the arguably best evidences in a UFO case, whose truthfulness should be considered by anyone with an open mind; even people with degrees in their fields have done just that (read: In Search of Truth and Freedom by D. Rothe or Celestial Teachings by J. Deardorff). ... Read more

Book Description

In this revised paperback edition of The Challenge of Contact, a retired veteran L.A. Times copy editor who has shared in a Pulitzer Prize reports on a coalition of humans and aliens engaged in extensive interplanetary diplomacy--with a goal of open contact between the two species.

Krapf, the designated writer and herald for the first phase of this epic project, shares the daunting challenges this role has forced upon him. Krapf narrates the story of his three on-board contacts with an advanced ET race that has, amazingly, proposed the induction of Earth into an intergalactic federation of planets--and has for some years been in secret dialogue with hundreds of human leaders, known as "Ambassadors." ... 3-0 out of 5 stars What if?
What if the entire UFO operation is just what many Christian believers think it is, the work of Satan as the "final big rip off at the End TIme?" Only then does any of this make any sense at all. As one reviewer put it:

"Why the Verdents are so easy to manipulate when they are so supposed to be so much more intelligent than primitive humans they study we may never know, but maybe this lending an ear to petty complaints (against Phillip) shouldn't suprize us as some of the Verdents that Phillip describes, Martin and Gus in particular, are petty themselves, barely restraining their delight in hearing tales of human misery and suffering."

Who do we know who has always delighted at human misery, suffering and wars? If my hunch is right, then this is exactly what Satan would do near the end of time to sew up any lose ends and mislead millions. He'd have Phillip write up these books to get things started, and then later have others who are famous people to come forward and tell of working with the Verdants all along. What if Dan Rather turned up and said that he'd been going onto UFOs for many years, and now has been given permission to tell of what happened? Then here's another telling point the other reviewer also pointed out:

"Certainly one has to question why a "young" sexy woman, like the Verdent Gina, would want to "sexperiment" with a man who is way, way past his prime. This demonstrates a gross lack of discrimination and taste for someone allegedly so experienced in sexual customs and behaviors."

Why wouldn't "they" or "the demons" want to rope humans into "sin" as much as they can? It's not a matter of "Having sex with an old man" it's the actual act of Fornication that drives this gambit! It means nothing to them, but they knew that it would be a "sin" to the writer. And that's what satan has been up to for a long time: Tempting.

Clearly, Revelation tells us that Satan is going to "Fake" the Second Coming of Christ at the Sixth Trump. What better way to do this than to show up in giant UFO's over Israel and Rome? My guess is that they'll hover right over the Dome of the Rock, and to the Jews it will be their Messiah, to Islam it will be the return of Mohammed, and to the Christians who haven't been reading their bibles, they'll think it's Jesus Christ here to "Rapture" them away!

Since 60 million copies of "Left Behind" have been bought by Christians who see that novel as "bible fact" those 60 million readers actually BELIEVE that Christ will "Rapture them out" BEFORE the time of trouble starts! But the bible clearly teaches that Christ's coming will be very public, and that "every eye" will see Him when He comes! But that book has them thinking they'll be taken away before the End!

It's perfect!

Satan will be now able to "Rapture" the Christians who weren't reading their bibles, and "con" them into thinking that HE is Jesus Christ! AND, when the gigantic UFOs hover over Jerusalem and Rome, the entire world will be snowed into thinking that this is the Second Coming of Christ exactly the way Revelation said satan would do it!

The deal is, when it HAPPENS nobody will be permitted to SAY what I'm saying here, because to do so you'd look like a nut case! Anybody then saying "these people are demons" would really look stupid, and besides, the bible says that once he gets here, that satan will get a religious law passed, that will make it mandatory for everybody to get the Mark of the Beast in the hand or forehead! It will all happen overnight, and the news" won't be saying a WORD about my version of events, because it's the one foretold in the bible! For those who haven't been reading their bibles, it will be too late, and they will have been mislead by "the father of lies" for the last time.

5-0 out of 5 stars By a Pulitzer Prize winning journalist
Deftly written by Phillip H. Krapf (a 25-year veteran of the L.A. Times), The Challenge Of Contact: A Mainstream Journalist's Report On Interplanetary Diplomacy is an informed and informative report on a diplomatic and negotiated coalition between humans and aliens. A Pulitzer Prize winning journalist, Krapf is particularly candid in recounting his own three on-board contacts with an advanced ET race and their invitation for Earth to join an intergalactic federation of planets. A fascinating study that presents our world as close to induction into an intergalactic federation of planets, The Challenge Of Contact is a welcome very highly recommended addition to the growing library of UFOlogy Studies.

1-0 out of 5 stars Really, really weak
I'm embarrassed to say I read this book. When I bought it, I assumed it was going to be an intellectual look into the challenges of contact.

Unfortunately, I quickly figured out that it was the worst kind of b-grade UFO material that money can buy. Even with a huge font, they are barely able to stretch this material to 200 pages, and then only by filling it with inane dialogue by a truly lame author.

One example is a "dinner party" aboard a UFO. All the guests, except the author, are intellectual elites and extremely snobbish, and they are all gathered to discuss the future of earth with the aliens. It's completely unbelievable that this snobbish dinner gala aboard a UFO is going to be filled with the same small talk, exactly as if it were a debutante ball in Atlanta.

It's just too much to believe. Why would anyone publish a book that is so totally mediocre that you want to toss it in the trash after the first few pages?

Advice to the author: if you're going to write a book and try to pass it off as being true-to-life, at least have a decently vivid imagination and have someone help you with the dialogue.

1-0 out of 5 stars It's getting deep here...
In Phillip's first book, the Verdents were supposed to be the most competent, discriminating, mature, and intelligent beings in the universe. And why not? They had had 100s of millions of years to evolve to perfection! Ironically in Phillip's second book, the Verdents are suddenly portrayed as the most incompetent, indiscriminate, petty, and stupid beings in the universe. Apparently Phillip fails to notice these gross inconsistencies between his two storytales, maybe because Phillip isn't as experienced at telling stories as he is at editing newspapers.

In THE CHALLENGE OF CONTACT, the Verdents are tied down with layers upon layers of maddening bureaucracy, bogging everything down in what must be the most micromanaged society in the universe. After 100s of millions of years of "evolving", you would think the Verdents would have learned by now to recognize what even "primitive humans" can instantly recognize as a grossly inefficient and unproductive way of doing things within their own lives.

Part of this micromanaging includes bending to the petty will of a handful of human representatives, as if the "expert psychologists of the universe" couldn't recognize when they were being manipulated. Why the Verdents are so easy to manipulate when they are so supposed to be so much more intelligent than primitive humans they study we may never know, but maybe this lending an ear to petty complaints (against Phillip) shouldn't suprize us as some of the Verdents that Phillip describes, Martin and Gus in particular, are petty themselves, barely restraining their delight in hearing tales of human misery and suffering.

Certainly one has to question why a "young" sexy woman, like the Verdent Gina, would want to "sexperiment" with a man who is way, way past his prime. This demonstrates a gross lack of discrimination and taste for someone allegedly so experienced in sexual customs and behaviors.

The biggest problem I have with this book is the fact that this is the book that Phillip promised us within six months of publishing his first book, THE CONTACT HAS BEGUN. But since Joe Firmage wrote the preface to this book, that gives this book some slight historical redeeming value, but it is the only thing of any value whatsoever in this book.

4-0 out of 5 stars Updated information (and apologies) from his first book
This book isn't going to change anyone from being a UFO skeptic to being a UFO believer. For the most part it is a follow-on to his earlier book, "The Contact Has Begun."The skeptics who considered that "science fiction" will no doubt find this one more-of-the-same; the believers who appreciated the data in the first book will appreciate the affirmation of that data in this book, together with apologies, implied or formally stated, for some of the statements that reduced the credibility of "The Contact Has Begun."There is nothing in the form of a new timetable.I recommend this book to anyone who feels a need to reconsider Krapf's credibility after the first book -- and I think this new book does an excellent job of reestablishing that credibility.(The new book also contains a nice 16-page appendix that presents a very understandable scenario for why the media have largely ignored UFO phenomena since 1950 or so -- a few years after the Roswell crash.) ... 5-0 out of 5 stars A great book for people who are going through "stuff."
I read a galley of this book and wrote the "Forward" for it because I felt it had real value for people who are going through spiritual transformation and are confused by the process. As Director of an organization of Walk-ins, I could see the value of the book for our members. And on reading the finished product, I can only repeat that everything I said about it is double-true: it's clear, concise and totally helpful.

5-0 out of 5 stars I really liked this book.

1-0 out of 5 stars Oh, please
This wasn't what I was looking for, I was disappointed why??? The book was very bland, uninformative and it really just very useful to me

4-0 out of 5 stars Makes you wonder
This book bescribes Moses being protected by a u.f.o when the Red sea is seperated and the burning bush might have been extaterrestrial influenced. This book is filled with close encounters in the Bible that might have been aliens. This book is worth a read.

1-0 out of 5 stars Pass on this one...
This is the only book in my collection that I did not bother to finish. I have been reading on the subject since my early youth but this book could not retain my attention. It seemed repetitious at times and simply put...boring. I will end up using it as filler material for the bottom of my book shelf.

5-0 out of 5 stars Will make everybody think over their religious beliefs
In this well thought out and researched book,Barry Downing providesevidence that extraterrestrials might have been behind the"miracles" of "God".Surprisingly, this book iswritten by a theologian, though most theologians oppose the AncientAstronaunt theory. You should pick up this book even if you criticizeUFOs.

3-0 out of 5 stars Began ufos in the Bible. "Yahweh Encounters " proved it.
When a religious figure writes of UFO's in the Bible people read. While the idea started a movement, little scientific evidence is presented, such as can be found in Sitchen's books or in "Yahweh Encounters: Bible Astronauts, Ark Radiations and Temple Electroics" by Ann Madden Jones. However I recommend any Bible-UFO book by either a religious figure or one using detailed secular research to augment the Biblical evidence. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Not The Worse
I gave this a three star rating, a good book because it raised a lot of questions. But I also gave it three stars because it raised a lot of questions without going deep enough into them. This is my first book on this subject and I was left wondering about many of subjects that the book touched on but did not elaborate on. Including Nicoli Tesla, who was very involved with the government and experimentation at the time but only gets a few passing paragraphs with nothing in-depth on him.

Much of the information in this book is fascinating. Time travel, government funded time machines, ...75 million computers in the 1950's, stolen gold bullion from Nazi germany, teleportation, time dimensions, amazing! The Gray invasion seemed a bit far-fetched (but who knows?). This book did intrigue me enough to start looking for others on these subjects.

A good starting place but a little short at 137 pages. Give it a read and decide for yourself.

3-0 out of 5 stars I'm Glad I Read this Book
This isn't the best book on the Philadelphia Experiment but it does add some interesting points. I was very much intrigued by Al Bielek, Montauk, and the M.K. Jessup seance. (Note: It will make you think twice about your surroundings and the possible hidden secrets of time travel and invisibility)

5-0 out of 5 stars NOW YOU SEE EM, NOW YOU DONT
I HAVE READ JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING ON THE PHILADELPHIAI have always had this fascination with the Philadelphia Exp ever since I read a book years ago b the late Dr M K essup which touched on the subject. This book is the only one I know of in print that gives the details of Jessup's unfortunate passing -- which though reported as a suicide may not have been.Commander X with his militaryintelligence operative background comes closer to the truth that any other researcher on the Phila Exp.Jessup was found inside his carhis death caused bycarbon monoxide ... his car windows were rolled up and sealed. A doctor passing thru the park found his body and pronounced him dead on the spot. Shortly before his death he had told close friends that he had found out more details on the Phila Exp and planned to expose them to the world. The rest of the book deals with the case of Al Bielek who is the only known survivor. His story is fascinating and makes for good reading. The book reads like a good mystery novel.

2-0 out of 5 stars This book asks many more questions than it answers.
I expected a more comprehensive study of the Philadephia Experiment. This book prints some of the rumor behind the project but fails to follow up in depth on even the rumors. It seems to have been designed as a primer to whet the neophyte's interest, but unfortunately the neophyte does not come away from this book knowing substantially more than when coming to it. Too bad, because the entire saga raises a myriad of fascinating issues and questions. Perhaps this book was written merely to cash in on the perennial interest in the Philadelphia Experiment. Unfortunately, this ground is rife with tall tale tellers and out-and-out con artists. Without hard proof, the entire story is destined to remain nothing more than muttled legend and grist for the lunatic fringe's mills. ... Read more

Book Description

In 1988 Ann Druffel, who has researched UFOs for 40 years, discovered a little-known fact that had been drowned in abduction hysteria--documented evidence that people have successfully fended off attack by the "greys," the short, big-eyed aliens now familiar through so much popular media. Using her database of 250 case studies, including 70 "resisters," Druffel has ascertained 9 techniques that witnesses use to ward off alien entities and even break off abductions in progress. And perhaps even more astonishing, this evidence points to the possible true identity of the greys and their link to the abducting entities of myth and folklore.

Alien Abduction Resistance Techniques
¸         Mental Struggle: Block their mind control
 ¸         Physical Struggle: Fight back
¸         Righteous Anger: Summon your inviolate rights
¸         Protective Rage: Guard your loved ones
¸         Support from Family Members: Seek strength in numbers
 ¸         Intuition: Sense them coming
¸         Metaphysical Methods: Create a personal shield
¸         Appeal to Spiritual Personages: Get help from on high
 ¸         Repellents: Use time-tested fend-off substances

Complete with hair-raising true tales of courage and illustrated with eye-witness sketches, How to Defend Yourself Against Alien Abduction is the only book with step-by-step instructions on what to do--and not to do--if aliens come knocking on your door.

4-0 out of 5 stars Provocative But Unexceptional
This book raised so many more questions that it tried to answer. For instance, if it's true, as the author contends, that alien abductions can be prevented if the experiencer uses techniques which prevent Incubi/Succubi visitations, can a case be made "aliens" and "demons" are one in the same phenomenon? I would suggest reading this book along with one called COSMIC TEST TUBE, which gives the entire history of ideas about alien abduction and provides a few more possible answers!

2-0 out of 5 stars This book must be banished.
This book really needs to go. Although the techniques in this book do confound the greys and stop their telephathy, they also anger the greys. Their retribution will be extreme. If they can not conduct their (mostly harmless) experiments using peacefull telepathy, they will simply switch to using weapons. Your anti-telepathy hat will simply cause them to shoot you with a tranq. dart instead.

At least when they use their telepathy I am able to forget the ordeal. If they stop using their telepathy more people will remember the procedures and be haunted by those memories as nightmares.

We must remain ignorant so as not to seem a threat. Seriously do not read this book. This knowlege is dangerous. I, for one, welcome our little grey overlords!

Should get zero stars, in fact negative stars because that is what it is. Someone needs to check this guy. If channeling isn't love, its junk. This ain't love, in fact none of this guy's works are.

Stay away and read something fun for God'd sake.

This book is not only tells us about ETs, but more importantly, about the "Secret Government" - a group of evil people who are really in control of America. This book reveals how much control they have, how they come to have alien technology, how they use this to harm/control people. Their goal is to control as many people in the world as possible, through making people miserable and then showing everybody that they can restore the world to a wonderful place - if only everyone lets them control everybody. They want to control everybody from the cradle to the grave. ... Read more

Book Description

Linda Moulton Howe shares and analyzes her research findings surrounding accounts of crop circles, accompanied by lights and crackling sounds over the past 2 years. Linda interviews a biophysicist, a mathematician, a geologist, and other researchers to determine the authenticity of these accounts and whether these crop circles are a 3-dimensional language related to fractional math, geometrics, the Hebrew Kabala, or other symbolic mysteries, and what they could mean. ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Not bad - but not REALLY good either.
More medium than well-done.

If you skip all the non-relevant story-telling ("I had to climb over the barbed wire with my shorts on...") the book shrinks by more than a factor of two.

The "sort-of-scientific" character of the book is refreshing, however, it seems like Linda does not really understand everything she talks about, and that is too bad. Her phrasing is often quite confusing and sometimes even disturbing (just like the other reviewer I also have a degree in physics).

Moreover, many of the 'anomalous lights' look more like ordinary lens flares to me. Too much wild speculation here!

Nevertheless, the book gives a good overview of this fascinating phenomenon, the events and people that surround it, and the atmosphere in the south of the UK.

4-0 out of 5 stars Facts and theories
There are lots of opinions, both from skeptics and believers alike surrounding the phenomena known as crop circles. This book will not necessarily sway you one way or the other but it will add fuel to the debate especially for the skeptics. I agree with the good Dr. Haselhoff from the Netherlands, whose outstanding book, "The Deepening Complexity of Crop Circles, Scientific Research and Urban Legends," states that the question of "light phenomena" in photographs and the "plasma theory" a little out there. Contrary to some reviewers opinions regarding the ho-hum nature of the people relating their experiences I found the style down to earth. The peoples experiences make the book easy to read, personal and it touches you as being real. The mysterious unknown is brought down to earth by the ordinary. It gives you a sense of being there. The part of the book that explains the goings on and an historical overview of Glastonbury is very interesting, especially for someone like me who is on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean. The history surrounding Chalice Well and the Vesica Piscis design is something that stimulates thought concerning the origins of the phenomena. The color photographs are very special. Since there are no answers to the origins of the crop circles this book does not really give one. What does seem to be evident is that some type of electromagnetic field is responsible and that we are probably not rationally or scientically equipped to understand why they are showing up, let alone what they mean. Is it some type of communication? Yes, as the crop circles convey sheer beauty, magnificent symetry and mystery beyond our comprehension. Recommended reading for those that are interested in some beautiful designs that could have some deeper meaning.

5-0 out of 5 stars Mysterious Lights and Crop Circles
Mysterious Lights and Crop Circles is different from most other crop circle books. The book is like a diary, not a reference work, and clearly written by a reporter. This gives it a very personal flavor, and when you read this book, it is almost like a hands-on experience, as if you spend a couple of weeks in the south of England yourself. Linda successfully manages to give the reader a sense of the mystical atmosphere of that part of the world, and the thrill that surrounds the crop circle phenomenon in the summer season.
Many prominent persons in the crop circle arena were interviewed, many aspects of the crop circle phenomenon (and more) are covered. None of it in great detail, which makes the book accessible to the large public. Sometimes, however, this may be a little disturbing to some readers, as I did not always agree with all of the statements and formulations. For example, many of the 'anomalous light phenomena' may better be explained as ordinary lense reflection artifacts, and the 'plasma theories' are much too shaky and speculative in my opinion. All in all, this book - with a tremendous amount of illustrations, most B/W, some 30 in color - is a joy to read.
(Eltjo Haselhoff is the author of "The Deepening Complexity of Crop Circles, Scientific Research & Urban Legends", Frog Ltd., 2001-2002.)

5-0 out of 5 stars A Good Overview of the Anomalies Surrounding Crop Circles
This is one of the best books around for introducing readers to the weird anomalies associated with crop formations. As a veteran circle-researcher, Linda Moulton Howe is well qualified to discuss the variety of nonordinary phenomena that have long been experienced in and around crop circles. While we don't yet understand what causes these anomalies, Howe's book goes a long way in showing us that they are real events that are repeatedly experienced by crop circle researchers. Science has yet to explain these encounters.
In my view, Howe could have written more about the human element in the creation of crop circles and the anomalies they exhibit. And what is the relationship between the balls of light and human beings? Are these objects intelligently guided or are they just spurious electrical discharges? We don't have the answers for questions but this book establishes that these questions deserve serious investigation.
(Simeon Hein is the author of Opening Minds: A Journey of Extraordninary Encounters, Crop Circles, and Resonance (Mount Baldy Press, (2002))

4-0 out of 5 stars Great information.
This is a very informative book on the crop circle phenomenon. I have not read any others so I have none to compare it to. However, the information and analysis presented in the book was enough to give me some ideas as to their origin, and recognize some commonality between the different types of circles.

It is liberally sprinkled with good illustrations and photographs(Albeit, some of them black and white...).

If you want to learn about crop circles and want a good balanced look at the phenomenon, this is a good starting place. ... Read more

Book Description

In 1982, a movie producer received an anonymous roll of film containing a series of alleged thirty-year-old government documents relating to the U.S. government's top-secret "Majestic Twelve" project. The "MJ-12" papers contained shocking revelations about the existence of UFOs, including a briefing paper prepared in November 1952 for then-President-elect Dwight D. Eisenhower detailing the crash of an extraterrestrial spacecraft near Roswell, New Mexico.

After decades of speculation, investigation, and innuendo, evidence now suggests that the MJ-12 papers were no more than an elaborate hoax ... or were they?

One of the world's most respected ufologists, Kevin D. Randle, Ph.D. set out to discover the truth behind the most remarkable controversy of the twentieth century. The secrets his in-depth investigation revealed will shock and astonish you, and perhaps change everything you have ever believed about the possibility of extraterrestrial life.

4-0 out of 5 stars Take a dive in Ufology's dirtiest mudd puddle
The author concludes that the MJ-12 documents are fake... old news really. The only question is why this debate lasted for so many years? These documents should've been laid to rest a long time ago, Ufology has only LOST credibilty because of them. It's time to move on, and get out of the 1940s and 1950s. Seems like every UFO book today is about events from 50 years ago. Geez, where did the aliens go? I don't really care anymore, reading all these conflicting UFO books has turned me into a cynical nihilst. Obviously official "science" could care less... so why should I? And obviously religious people think UFOs are from Satan, so why should I care to get to the "truth" of the matter, everyone's mind is already made despite the "evidence".

Truthfully, I didn't read the entire book, I read the last chapter titled "Conclusions", and I skimmed through several other areas, but all I needed to hear was at the end.

On the bright side, this is a fine book if you're interested in the subject, or looking for a good sober analysis on MJ-12. Don't let my review hold you back from getting the book.

Well, of course it ain't over yet, I hear Stanton Friedman is gonna sell his 16? page review on this book. Time to muddy the water, again... it's money thrown down a bottomless pit. We probably haven't heard the last on MJ-12.

3-0 out of 5 stars Beyond Roswell ... Or Just Out Of Grasp?
Kevin Randle has made a cottage industry out of being the world's foremost expert on the alleged UFO crash at Roswell, New Mexico. While his two books focusing entirely on the events surrounding one of the cornerstones of America's growing UFO culture (mythology?) are quite good and stand-up very well as fine examples of investigative work lacking from much of the field, his ancillary works tend to be far less focused ... and that's largely because he tries to draw virtually all topics associated to the history of UFOs back to those seminal events from 1947. It's almost as if the author dismisses the fact that those events -- to date -- have yet to be substantiated.

That said, CASE MJ-12 is an admirable attempt to explore the possible origins to literally thousands of pages of supposedly "declassified" evidence linking Roswell and other UFO events to an elite oversight committee long referred to as "Majestic 12" (or "Majik 12" or "Magic 12" or just "Magic," depending upon whose opinion you accept). Despite having only seen a "representative sampling" (Randle's term, not mine), he feels compelled and competent to pass judgment over an entire body of paperwork he hasn't examined, and this investigative leap undermines much of his prose.

The book reads as if written very quickly. In fact, there are several long passages that almost appear as 'cut and paste' work, interspersed throughout the tome; interestingly enough, this 'cut-and-paste' is Randle's prime argument against accepting any of the MJ-12 papers as "credible." After finishing the work, you'll really understand the man's appreciation of the word "provenance."

Sadly, Randle stumbles in the book's second half, venturing easily into territory all-too-familiar these days in the endeavors of Ufology; he spends a fair portion of text 'bashing' others in the field for their failure to reach the same conclusions he has. As he's concluded a handful of the MJ papers are fradulent, he believes everyone should. In this respect, his arguments are weak ... especially given the fact that the foundation of his assertion is predicated on the outcome of a 'word game' played with a retired military officer (Kaufman) who, admittedly, can neither confirm nor deny the said committee's existence.

Still, CASE MJ-12 is entertaining in its first half, when Randle is dealing with those MJ 12 papers he has reviewed, and this is definitely worth reading. In the latter half, he delves (or tries to) into the psychology associated to MJ-12, if such a secret committee existed, and what the political and/or social ramifications would've been. For those familiar with the events of Roswell, CASE MJ-12 makes for adequate reading. Randle's insistence on spending time recounting (and recounting and recounting!) the Roswell events sadly grounds the prose; instead, he could've engaged readers with his own speculative theories associated to UFO crash retrievals.

For reasons beyond logic, Randle also feels compelled to tack on an extra chapter -- an appendix dealing solely with a con man's hoax associated to a UFO crash in Africa. Perhaps Randle believed that, by presenting events so obviously fabricated, the thinner of his arguments would be strengthened, but that isn't the way truly inquiring minds really think. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Worth Owning!
Unlike others above who have read this book, I was blown away & found nothing ridiculous or absurd about this book, it was true for me that my OOBE's weren't as clear & strange as those described but I did get a chance to visit some places I'd never been before & meet some very interesting people(and a few that are no longer on this planet that I was able to say good-bye to) even if it was all in my mind, it was a wonderful experience & I thank D.J for being a great guide/role model for those of us who are serious about astral projection & enhancing our experiences. If you read or even buy this book I guarantee tha you won't be dissapointed. When I was reccomended this book from a friend's boyfriend, I was a little hesitant but after reading the first few chapters, I couldn't put it down & had to own a copy for myself! If you've read other novels on OOBE's then give this one a shot, at least read it & you will see that it's one you'll want in your collection!

5-0 out of 5 stars Detailed informative and entertaining
Conway's concentration on research and writing has certainly paid off. With the knowledge of an expert and impressive writing skills Ms. Conway thrills the reader in every page. The chapters about historical time travel and astral love simply cannot be missed. A book you'll keep by your bedside to read over and over again. Must rate amongst the best ever on astral projection.

4-0 out of 5 stars Nice Book to nice to have
Not a bad book on astral travel it's nice book but astral travel can be alittle complex for some it's a guide book on how it works but i would get this book but also look for others and make sure you take the precations it would have gotten 5 star but like the review above i would have like to see a outline on topic which would made easy for newbies to understand But also books are just guides go with your feelings if a book does not feel right modify it if not a place ya want to go change the locations but i do stress practice and read up.

Blessed Be;

4-0 out of 5 stars Fascinating
As a newcomer to astral travel, I found the material in this book helpful. How each person astral travels can be different, but I found the author's "guide" to astral travel to be quite good. She describes numerous "general topics" about astral travel, including the astral plane, time travel, healing and magick in the astral plane, and contacting spiritual teachers and guides. She gives guided meditation examples for each of these topics. I found her section on "travelling" to Atlantis intriguing for example. She also describes the types of entities you will find while travelling. While most are "good" and "helpful," there are "dark entities," which are found on the lower astral levels. She discusses ways of avoiding them and also spends an entire chapter discussing "astral defense," which is ways not only to avoid these "bad entities," but also ways to protect yourself if you sense you are under some form of "attack" while on the astral plane.

While I greatly enjoyed this book, I'm in agreement with another reviewer who suggests reading other books on this topic. It's one that cannot be covered in one single book. However, this one is an excellent place to start.

4-0 out of 5 stars ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS ON THE SUBJECT
Although I am in disagreement with a number of the concepts presented by Ms. Conway, this is more a matter of opinion than anything else. Be advised: don't rely on this as your sole source of information on the Astral! Opinions and techniques vary greatly, and these methods are not suitable for everyone. For a "well rounded education," check out the works of: Robert Bruce, J.H. Brennan, and Scribe 27. ... Read more

Constance Clear lets the abductees tell their stories in their own words, and boy are they doozies! Of particular interest in the complex case of Daniel, which in many ways parallels that of Betty Luca. The final story about Sara is a MUST-READ for those of us who are involved in this phenomena who want to learn how to overcome their fears.

Book Description

An esteemed professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, and a Pulitzer Prize-winning biographer, Dr. John Mack never intended to become an expert in the controversial study of alien abductees. But after investigating over 60 cases of alien abduction through hundreds of hours of interviews and treatment, Dr. Mack now presents the mesmerizing tales of alien encounters revealed by his patients-- none of whom are mentally ill-- and the profound, surprising and at times deeply spiritual impact these experiences have has on their lives. Providing details of alien encounters never before reported or depicted on the screen, the men and women whose experiences are related here in unforgettably vivid detail are not extremists recounting dreams or hallucinations. Rather, as Dr. Mack reports, they are survivors of harrowing, real-life experiences that challenge the most basic assumptions that make up our understanding of our existence and our role in the universe. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Interesting descriptions, fuzzy analysis
Harvard psychologist John Mack interviewed more than seventy people who believe that they were abducted by aliens. After using hypnosis and other techniques to draw out victims' memories, he concluded that they were not inventing their stories; they had suffered traumatic experiences, in many cases more than once.Mack also found that their stories were remarkably consistent. The cases he studied may be only the tip of an iceberg; a 1991 survey showed that at least several hundred thousand Americans have had abduction experiences.

Mack argues that abductions force us to reconsider our perception of reality; "no familiar theory or explanation has come even close to accounting for the basic features of the abduction phenomenon."As abductions can not be understood within the framework of Western science, a new scientific paradigm may be necessary.Mack speculates that the aliens may be from other dimensions. At the end, he offers his personal opinion that "abductions have to do with the evolution of consciousness and the collapse of a worldview that has placed humankind at a kind of epicenter of intelligence in a cosmos perceived as largely lifeless and meaningless."

Mack writes that "When we explore phenomena that exist at the margins of accepted reality, old words become imprecise or must be given new meanings."His own words suffer from that problem; many readers will find his analyses vague and fuzzy-minded, particularly when he writes about spirituality. Many of his speculations appear in both his introductory and concluding chapters, an annoying duplication.

Readers may be struck by how closely the X-Files followed the abductees' descriptions of their experiences, including implants and the creation of alien-human hybrids. The warnings delivered to some abductees sound a bit like those in the 1951 film The Day the Earth Stood Still, or in the more recent film The Abyss, suggesting that abductees may have been influenced by their own cultural experiences.Nonetheless, something peculiar happened to these people.

4-0 out of 5 stars Path-breaking; raises fundemental questions
You do not need to be convinced by Mack in order to admire his courage: as a Harvard Professor, to take a topic straight from the tabloids and treat it seriously deserves a four-star rating by itself.I am generally open to new ways of perceiving reality, and am willing to ponder the idea that "aliens" (or fellow -earth dwellers, differently dimensioned) are playing tricks with us.My main difficulty lies with using hypnosis as a tool to uncover hidden memories, which lies at the heart of Mack's approach.Hypnosis is just too easy to abuse. It may be the only tool we can think of, currently, to use in this quest, but it just has too many drawbacks to be taken as the sole tool for alien-style research.I think Mack, too, would agree with that.

The 1990s, when this book came out, were a heady time for alien research. Many books on the subject were published, and TVs shows produced.Maybe it was the upcoming millennium, or just an increase in alien visits in the late 80s, but the field was hot. Now, it has cooled off a bit.One wonders when the next alien wave, or `flap,' will hit.But hit it will, and when it does, many will go back to Mack's book for insight. This is recommended, along with Jaques Valle's books.

5-0 out of 5 stars It is a practical book on facts
The author has his feet on the solid ground on what he wrote.Facts are exposed. Conclusions remain open. He has the caution not to believe literally on every aspect obtained by theinvestigation, subjective but very significant nevertheless alternative explanations are suggested, remaining to the reader the final opinion. The author is a professional senior psychiatrist teacher. The main method of revealing facts here in this book is back-regression by hypnosis, to the time of the events, with the professional know-how not to induce, but to open individuals forgotten experiences. What for me states thequality of this work, and book, is it was done always with the goal of making the life of the persons studied a better one, not just to extract them material for a book or project. The quest to reveal and to solve the inner live problems of the people involved, and then to inform there is something REAL in the alien abduction subject. The book may deep influence some people lives, if the reader get confronted with similarities with one self or close people cases; 5 star indeed.

First off thanks for making me laugh a reader from subcontinent 85. Down to business. If any of this was true would 'they' have let it be printed? No they wouldnt! All I want to know is where are all the mullified house wives that need impregnating?

1-0 out of 5 stars Hmmm.
Commander X is like so right dude. One time after taking bong hits my dog told me to look out of the window and sure enough Brown people were floating outside in the air. The next morning I felt pretty groggy and later found out that our septic tank had exploded. Weird.

5-0 out of 5 stars WE ARE BUT SHEEP BEING LEAD TO SLAUGHTER. . .
Ever have the feeling someone is looking over your shoulder? That someone is reading your mail - or listening to what you have to say over the telephone? NO! Its not the CIA or even the New World Order -- cause reality is a lot stranger than even the most paranoid among us has been made to believe. All around us are DARK DIMENSIONS where beings of negativity hide and try to do us harm and control our very existence. According to Commander X there are numerous entities which exist all around us, but remain UNSEEN. Some of these beings are actually working together to control our thinking and belief system = and have been doing so since the dawn of creation. Its all very bizarre -- and to some may seem like utter nonsense -- but the good Commander makes it all sound very believable. I guess its up to the reader to decide how controlled we really are!

5-0 out of 5 stars The TRUTH must be known - We are all in grave danger!!!
This is the ultimate history of our combined human/alien heritage. It explains all, including, but not limited to; How The Soulless Ones use daytime television to mollify innumerable women throughout this country to facilitate their impregnation by The Greys, thus leading to the Human/Alien hybridization which is now almost the norm in the United States, if not the whole free world. The secret alliance between The Elders, The Illuminati, The CIA, The KGB, OPEC, and the Queen of England dating back to 1954 which, as a direct result, has led to the construction of massive underground catacombs in North and South America, Europe, Asia and the Sub-Continent. It is in these catacombs that the Greys carry out their experiments on the over 100,000 people who disappear each year. These experiments have resulted in the creation of The Counterfeit Race. It is The Counterfeit Race which The Soulless Ones plan to use to repopulate the nations of the world when they finally make their move for supremacy. It also delves into The Illuminati's supposed practice of mass mind control through the use of microwaves. It is here that Commander X has allowed himself to be drawn into the world of science fiction, any 12th grader worth his salt knows that mass mind control by microwaves is just plain impossible. I do not hold this against him thought, as everyone is allowed to make a mistake now and again. I also do not allow it to hurt my rating of the book, as the amount of information present in the book which is accurate overwhelms this one little inaccuracy. In closing, If you read one book this year, nay this new Millennium, make it this one. You owe it to yourself, your children, the entire human race in fact. Hopefully there is still time to save ourselves.

3-0 out of 5 stars Entertaining
Just not believable. The reader has only the author's word to rely on. The author claims to know where this ship crashed, then why no rush to find artifacts.

5-0 out of 5 stars Who Came First, the Chicken or the Egg, OR...
Dolores Cannon's warm and inquisitive, yet non-obstinate approach in dealing with her subjects and their spirit entities under regressive hypnosis gives much credence to the integrity of the subject matter. This book stages the probable seeding and origin of our ancestors, and WOW!, is it a mindbender. Tuin, who is the main character and tribal hunter for the commune, delivers interesting insights to the societal structure and specialized importance each member's responsibility brings to the tribal commune. In a naive and innocent manner, Tuin relates his adventuresome and somewhat rascally personality within a warm and caring community, which in a primitive way appears more advanced and evolved than our current existence.

That's not all! The latter part of the book, Dolores explores Tuin's higher spiritual nature, giving a sophisticated glimpse at the unfolding of human history. For those of you who have interest in the migration of man to North America and the Native American role in that perspective, this is a MUST book. Why, we even get a glimpse into to the effect of the great prehistorical asteroid hit on earth. Great, easy, and believable reading. An opportunity to enhance one's enlightenment.

THE LEGEND OF STARCRASH

Through regressive hypnosis a lost legend of the history of mankind has been retrieved from the recesses of time. Did the American Indians descend from the inhabitants of an alien spacecraft that crashed in the Alaska-Canada region thousands of years ago? Keepers of the Garden told the story of the original seeding of the plant Earth by aliens from outer space. Starcrash indicates that aliens continued to come to Earth, some intentionally and by accident, throughout our history. In order to adjust to harsh conditions and the brutal rays of an alien sun, the survivors were forced to interbreed with the local aborigines. This was the only way to insure the survival of their race. Does their blood still flow in the veins of certain American Indian tribes? ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A Different Explanation
This book is not for those who believe in the "accepted wisdom." Throughout the history of science, groundbreaking work has always been reviled by those in the mainstream, and that applies to all of Cathie's books.
For all but the most terminally stupid, the existence of UFO's is an established fact, unexplainable by modern science. Yet UFO's do exist. Therefore, there is something out there that science does not understand. Mr. Cathie makes an exceedingly interesting, non-conformist attempt to explain this phenomenon.
Cathie is a former airline pilot from New Zealand who personally observed a number of unidentified objects, plotted their courses, and noticed a pattern, from which he inferred a global grid of electromagnetic energy. This global grid has subsequently been substantiated by Becker and Hagens, among others.
Essentially, Cathie argues that UFO's, nuclear facilities, and ancient monuments are places of power, and in order to utilize this power, must be placed in precise geometric positions relative to the earth's surface, and sometimes, to each other. He has also noticed mathematical constants which keep coming up in his investigations.
The arguments against Cathie all come down to his unusual use of mathematics, which he calls "harmonic math," in which the decimal point is sometimes inventively placed. But because harmonics can easily be observed in music and nature, this is not such a radical concept. Cathie's books contain harmonic studies of various places on the globe (including Stonehenge), showing the geometric relationships in their construction and placement. He asserts the impossibility of nuclear war, because, he claims, a nuclear device, in order to detonate, must be placed not only in a precise geometric position relative to the earth, but also to the sun, and that the timing of the detonation is crucial. He says that all of the possible places and times for nuclear explosions have been worked out by the governments of the earth in advance! This from a man who predicted beforehand the dates and times of the French nuclear tests at Mururoa Island in the south pacific in 1968.
Cathie claims to have uncovered the relationship between gravity, light, and mass, and shows in later books tables of these values with their interrelationships.
Whether or not you agree with any of his claims, the book makes very interesting reading. It presents ideas which challenge the accepted wisdom, and makes a unique stab at explaining phenomenon which are at present poorly understood.
If you are someone who will not accept anything you haven't learned in a classroom, he
