Book Description Aliens Adored is the first full length, in-depth look at the Raelian movement, a fascinating new religion founded in the 1970s by charismatic prophet, Raël. Born in France as Claude Vorilhon, the former race-car driver started the religion after he experienced a visitation from the aliens (the "elohim") who, in his cosmology, created humans by cloning themselves. The millenarian movement awaits the return of the alien creators, and in the meantime seeks to develop the potential of its adherents through free love, sexual experimentation, opposition to nuclear proliferation and war, and the development of the science of cloning. Sociologist Susan J. Palmer has studied the Raelian movement for more than a decade, observing meetings and rituals, and enjoying unprecedented access to the group's leaders as well as to its rank-and-file members. In Aliens Adored she provides a thorough analysis of the movement, focusing on issues of sexuality, millenarianism, and the impact of the scientific worldview on religion and the environment. Palmer traces Raël's philosophy and the formation of the Raelian subculture. Raël's radical sexual ethics, his gnostic anthropocentricism, and shallow ecotheology offer us a mirror through which we see how our worldview has been shaped by the forces of globalization, postmodernism, and secular humanism.

And yes, the book is full of incredible statements and some of the so-called beamships looks ridiculous (no fancy design), but how a time-travel-capable-spaceship should look like?.
| 123. Challenge Of Contact: A Mainstream Journalist's Report on Interplanetary Diplomacy by Phillip H. Krapf, Phillip Krapf | |

Book Description Krapf, the designated writer and herald for the first phase of this epic project, shares the daunting challenges this role has forced upon him. Krapf narrates the story of his three on-board contacts with an advanced ET race that has, amazingly, proposed the induction of Earth into an intergalactic federation of planets--and has for some years been in secret dialogue with hundreds of human leaders, known as "Ambassadors." Unfortunately, I quickly figured out that it was the worst kind of b-grade UFO material that money can buy. Even with a huge font, they are barely able to stretch this material to 200 pages, and then only by filling it with inane dialogue by a truly lame author. One example is a "dinner party" aboard a UFO. All the guests, except the author, are intellectual elites and extremely snobbish, and they are all gathered to discuss the future of earth with the aliens. It's completely unbelievable that this snobbish dinner gala aboard a UFO is going to be filled with the same small talk, exactly as if it were a debutante ball in Atlanta. It's just too much to believe. Why would anyone publish a book that is so totally mediocre that you want to toss it in the trash after the first few pages? Advice to the author: if you're going to write a book and try to pass it off as being true-to-life, at least have a decently vivid imagination and have someone help you with the dialogue.
In THE CHALLENGE OF CONTACT, the Verdents are tied down with layers upon layers of maddening bureaucracy, bogging everything down in what must be the most micromanaged society in the universe. After 100s of millions of years of "evolving", you would think the Verdents would have learned by now to recognize what even "primitive humans" can instantly recognize as a grossly inefficient and unproductive way of doing things within their own lives. Part of this micromanaging includes bending to the petty will of a handful of human representatives, as if the "expert psychologists of the universe" couldn't recognize when they were being manipulated. Why the Verdents are so easy to manipulate when they are so supposed to be so much more intelligent than primitive humans they study we may never know, but maybe this lending an ear to petty complaints (against Phillip) shouldn't suprize us as some of the Verdents that Phillip describes, Martin and Gus in particular, are petty themselves, barely restraining their delight in hearing tales of human misery and suffering. Certainly one has to question why a "young" sexy woman, like the Verdent Gina, would want to "sexperiment" with a man who is way, way past his prime. This demonstrates a gross lack of discrimination and taste for someone allegedly so experienced in sexual customs and behaviors. The biggest problem I have with this book is the fact that this is the book that Phillip promised us within six months of publishing his first book, THE CONTACT HAS BEGUN. But since Joe Firmage wrote the preface to this book, that gives this book some slight historical redeeming value, but it is the only thing of any value whatsoever in this book.

Much of the information in this book is fascinating. Time travel, government funded time machines, ...75 million computers in the 1950's, stolen gold bullion from Nazi germany, teleportation, time dimensions, amazing! The Gray invasion seemed a bit far-fetched (but who knows?). This book did intrigue me enough to start looking for others on these subjects. A good starting place but a little short at 137 pages. Give it a read and decide for yourself.

At least when they use their telepathy I am able to forget the ordeal. If they stop using their telepathy more people will remember the procedures and be haunted by those memories as nightmares. We must remain ignorant so as not to seem a threat. Seriously do not read this book. This knowlege is dangerous. I, for one, welcome our little grey overlords!

Book Description Reviews (15)
If you skip all the non-relevant story-telling ("I had to climb over the barbed wire with my shorts on...") the book shrinks by more than a factor of two. The "sort-of-scientific" character of the book is refreshing, however, it seems like Linda does not really understand everything she talks about, and that is too bad. Her phrasing is often quite confusing and sometimes even disturbing (just like the other reviewer I also have a degree in physics). Moreover, many of the 'anomalous lights' look more like ordinary lens flares to me. Too much wild speculation here! Nevertheless, the book gives a good overview of this fascinating phenomenon, the events and people that surround it, and the atmosphere in the south of the UK.
It is liberally sprinkled with good illustrations and photographs(Albeit, some of them black and white...). If you want to learn about crop circles and want a good balanced look at the phenomenon, this is a good starting place. ... Read more

Book Description In 1982, a movie producer received an anonymous roll of film containing a series of alleged thirty-year-old government documents relating to the U.S. government's top-secret "Majestic Twelve" project. The "MJ-12" papers contained shocking revelations about the existence of UFOs, including a briefing paper prepared in November 1952 for then-President-elect Dwight D. Eisenhower detailing the crash of an extraterrestrial spacecraft near Roswell, New Mexico. After decades of speculation, investigation, and innuendo, evidence now suggests that the MJ-12 papers were no more than an elaborate hoax ... or were they? One of the world's most respected ufologists, Kevin D. Randle, Ph.D. set out to discover the truth behind the most remarkable controversy of the twentieth century. The secrets his in-depth investigation revealed will shock and astonish you, and perhaps change everything you have ever believed about the possibility of extraterrestrial life. Reviews (2)
Truthfully, I didn't read the entire book, I read the last chapter titled "Conclusions", and I skimmed through several other areas, but all I needed to hear was at the end. On the bright side, this is a fine book if you're interested in the subject, or looking for a good sober analysis on MJ-12. Don't let my review hold you back from getting the book. Well, of course it ain't over yet, I hear Stanton Friedman is gonna sell his 16? page review on this book. Time to muddy the water, again... it's money thrown down a bottomless pit. We probably haven't heard the last on MJ-12.
That said, CASE MJ-12 is an admirable attempt to explore the possible origins to literally thousands of pages of supposedly "declassified" evidence linking Roswell and other UFO events to an elite oversight committee long referred to as "Majestic 12" (or "Majik 12" or "Magic 12" or just "Magic," depending upon whose opinion you accept). Despite having only seen a "representative sampling" (Randle's term, not mine), he feels compelled and competent to pass judgment over an entire body of paperwork he hasn't examined, and this investigative leap undermines much of his prose. The book reads as if written very quickly. In fact, there are several long passages that almost appear as 'cut and paste' work, interspersed throughout the tome; interestingly enough, this 'cut-and-paste' is Randle's prime argument against accepting any of the MJ-12 papers as "credible." After finishing the work, you'll really understand the man's appreciation of the word "provenance." Sadly, Randle stumbles in the book's second half, venturing easily into territory all-too-familiar these days in the endeavors of Ufology; he spends a fair portion of text 'bashing' others in the field for their failure to reach the same conclusions he has. As he's concluded a handful of the MJ papers are fradulent, he believes everyone should. In this respect, his arguments are weak ... especially given the fact that the foundation of his assertion is predicated on the outcome of a 'word game' played with a retired military officer (Kaufman) who, admittedly, can neither confirm nor deny the said committee's existence. Still, CASE MJ-12 is entertaining in its first half, when Randle is dealing with those MJ 12 papers he has reviewed, and this is definitely worth reading. In the latter half, he delves (or tries to) into the psychology associated to MJ-12, if such a secret committee existed, and what the political and/or social ramifications would've been. For those familiar with the events of Roswell, CASE MJ-12 makes for adequate reading. Randle's insistence on spending time recounting (and recounting and recounting!) the Roswell events sadly grounds the prose; instead, he could've engaged readers with his own speculative theories associated to UFO crash retrievals. For reasons beyond logic, Randle also feels compelled to tack on an extra chapter -- an appendix dealing solely with a con man's hoax associated to a UFO crash in Africa. Perhaps Randle believed that, by presenting events so obviously fabricated, the thinner of his arguments would be strengthened, but that isn't the way truly inquiring minds really think. ... Book Description Reviews (22)
Mack argues that abductions force us to reconsider our perception of reality; "no familiar theory or explanation has come even close to accounting for the basic features of the abduction phenomenon."As abductions can not be understood within the framework of Western science, a new scientific paradigm may be necessary.Mack speculates that the aliens may be from other dimensions. At the end, he offers his personal opinion that "abductions have to do with the evolution of consciousness and the collapse of a worldview that has placed humankind at a kind of epicenter of intelligence in a cosmos perceived as largely lifeless and meaningless." Mack writes that "When we explore phenomena that exist at the margins of accepted reality, old words become imprecise or must be given new meanings."His own words suffer from that problem; many readers will find his analyses vague and fuzzy-minded, particularly when he writes about spirituality. Many of his speculations appear in both his introductory and concluding chapters, an annoying duplication. Readers may be struck by how closely the X-Files followed the abductees' descriptions of their experiences, including implants and the creation of alien-human hybrids. The warnings delivered to some abductees sound a bit like those in the 1951 film The Day the Earth Stood Still, or in the more recent film The Abyss, suggesting that abductees may have been influenced by their own cultural experiences.Nonetheless, something peculiar happened to these people.
The 1990s, when this book came out, were a heady time for alien research. Many books on the subject were published, and TVs shows produced.Maybe it was the upcoming millennium, or just an increase in alien visits in the late 80s, but the field was hot. Now, it has cooled off a bit.One wonders when the next alien wave, or `flap,' will hit.But hit it will, and when it does, many will go back to Mack's book for insight. This is recommended, along with Jaques Valle's books.

That's not all! The latter part of the book, Dolores explores Tuin's higher spiritual nature, giving a sophisticated glimpse at the unfolding of human history. For those of you who have interest in the migration of man to North America and the Native American role in that perspective, this is a MUST book. Why, we even get a glimpse into to the effect of the great prehistorical asteroid hit on earth. Great, easy, and believable reading. An opportunity to enhance one's enlightenment.
Through regressive hypnosis a lost legend of the history of mankind has been retrieved from the recesses of time. Did the American Indians descend from the inhabitants of an alien spacecraft that crashed in the Alaska-Canada region thousands of years ago? Keepers of the Garden told the story of the original seeding of the plant Earth by aliens from outer space. Starcrash indicates that aliens continued to come to Earth, some intentionally and by accident, throughout our history. In order to adjust to harsh conditions and the brutal rays of an alien sun, the survivors were forced to interbreed with the local aborigines. This was the only way to insure the survival of their race. Does their blood still flow in the veins of certain American Indian tribes? ... Read more
