4-0 out of 5 stars Would you kill to be rich?
Emma Naylor and her best friend Sydney Shue have always shared their secrets with each other. Now, the two girls have a huge secret to share. They've found a bag of money with enough cash to make them the richest girls in Shadyside. They promise not to tell anyone, but Sydney can't resist telling her boyfriend, Jason. Emma's worried, though. She doesn't trust Jason. She's sure he'll do anything to get his hands on that money...even kill.

I love this Fear Street book! This one will definitely stick with me for a long time. I barely manage to read books from cover to cover in one day, but I did it with this one. Anyway, there were a lot of creepy twists in this book. Especially in the end. The ending makes you go like: "Whoa! I didn't see that coming!" Although it's not the best Fear Street, it's still a pretty good one.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good for a thrill
I recommend this book to basically anyone who is looking for a quick and good read. The plot is interesting and involving and you will find yourself hooked to the book. The book reveals the evils of money when two best friends, Sydney and Emma, find a bag full of money. They both promise to bury it somewhere and split it between the two later and made a pact to never tell anyone about it. Well, Sydney breaks the pact and reveals all to her boyfriend, Jason. Suddenly bad things start to happen and Emma believes that Jason is responsible. She thinks that Jason wants to kill her so that he could have a say to the money. This book is filled with surprises in the end. A real twister to the story, characteristic of R.L stine's other fear street books.

5-0 out of 5 stars Rich Girl
The Rich girl is one of the best books written by R.L Stine. I have read the majority of his books. The reason I thought this is his best book is because it talks about peer pressure and steeling, not just his usual murder topic.
Peer pressure is an important topic; it teaches kids how not to give in to it. It shows that bad things happen when you give in to peer pressure.
I like R.L Stine because he uses suspense alot. I never know what to expect next. I can never put the book down once I start reading it! The only other author I emjoyed reading as much was Christopher Pike.

5-0 out of 5 stars This book is rich!!!
The Rich Girl was an excellent book about a girl named Emma and her best friend Sydney. One day they find a bag of money, and they swear not to tell anyone. But Sydney breaks her promise and tells her boyfriend. Emma and Sydney's boyfriend have never really gotten along, so it's not surprising that Emma suspects him when strange, potentially fatal accidents begin to happen to her. Before Emma can figure out who is responsible for these horrible things, a number of bizarre incidents happen to her that will keep your mind boggling with the suspense! This book is definitely worth reading, so what are you waiting for?

4-0 out of 5 stars OK
This is a good Fear Street book, but I didn't think that it was one of R.L. Stine's best. It had a good plot and you'll never guess the ending of this book. ... Read more

First of all it was a WIERD book.Great Charters and Plot, but not enough action!!!!!I was rellay dissapointed in the lack of Suspence!!It VAULED Dullness!!! And Was RICH in Long Boring Chapthers!!!But it HATED Suspence!!!And was POOR in Thrills and Chilles!!!You Should Skip this one!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Why Is She Sleepwalking?
That's the question I asked myself when I read this book. I think this is a well-written book by R.L. Stine. It's full of mystery and that's the reason I liked it. I like to read thrilling and mystery books. Just like this one. This book is about a teenage girl named Mayra who starts working with a lady named Mrs. Cottler. Since that day, Mayra starts sleepwalking every night and having nightmares. She starts to think that Mrs. Cottler is the one who made her sleepwalk for all the weird things that Mrs. Cotter has in her house. For example some black candles. One day Mayra goes to Mrs. Cottler's room and she's like in a trance. Another day Mayra finds some books of sleepwalkers and witchcraft on Mrs. Cottler's room. Is Mrs. Cottler the person who is making Mayra sleepwalk every night? You'll have to read this book to find out. I recommend this book to everyone who likes to read thrilling books. You'll enjoy it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Couldn't put it down
This book is brilliant! I read it in 2 days, tops. If you love being scared, R.L. Stine's books are for you!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great book
This book was very good and very shocking in the end. The only other book better then this is The Runaway.

5-0 out of 5 stars Five stars for originality!
I think this book is very original. The good thing about it was that there were so many suspects and so many things happening, that you couldn't figure out the whole ending even without reading it. That is what I like. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars The Perfect Date is the Perfect Book
The Perfect Date, a book by R.L.Stine, is one of the best books I've read this year. To begin with, The Perfect Date is a good thriller. For example, one of the characters is a girl with a face deformed because of scars. Brady, the main character, has a girlfriend who is killed in a sledding accident. In the accident, her face gets torn up terribly. If she had survived the accident, her face would look like the scarred girl's face. In the book Brady meets a girl named Rosha. After he starts dating Rosha, the girl with the scarred face calls Brady telling him to stay away from Rosha. Another reason it's a good thriller is because when Brady is around Rosha, bad things happen. Such as: she spills coffee and scorched his hand, and coming home they got in a car accident, and she accidentally stabs him with a letter opener. The second reason this is a good book is because, once you start, you do't want to put it down. You want to find out if Allie, Brady's real girlfriend, catches him cheating on her. You also want to find out what's up with the girl with the scarred face. The third reason I like this book is because everything fits into one big circle. During the middle of the book, you can't figure out how this relates to that, but in the last chapter and in the epilog every thing gets explained and fits into place. Those are a few reasons The Perfect Date is the perfect book.

5-0 out of 5 stars A night alone with this book is the Perfect Date!!!
Perfect Date by R. L. Stine is a book that will keep you on the tip of you toes with suspense. Out of many R. L. Stine books I've read, this one would have to be my favorite out of them all. Just from the time I picked the book up I couldn't put it down. The way the book ended was very surprising, but left me anxious to read more. I was sad that the book had to end. What a AWESOME story it was and I would advise everyone to read it! You will be satified with the book after you read it, trust me. It is a very encouraging mystery book to read. It is BRILLANT!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Perfect...perfectly evil
This book is one of those R.L. Stine books that aren't terrible and aren't perfect. A lot of parts were really stupid and boring. But towards the end, the book started to get much better. It has a HUGE surprise. There's only one problem with the end--it has a terrible epilouge. ... Read more

Bad dreames was a very good book. I have read many fear street books
by R.L. Stine, but this one wasen't as good as half the others. The ending just made the book cheesey, the plot was very good, and so were the dreams.I gave this book 2 stars because that's all it is worth.

5-0 out of 5 stars Absolutely wonderful!
I read the book in less than an hour. I couldn't put it down! It's a thrilling story about a girl, her sister, and her mother moving to a house after they experience some financial problems. The only item the previous owners left behind in the house was a beautiful 4-poster antique bed. However, everytime the main character sleeps in the bed, she experiences the same haunting dream of a girl getting murdered in the bed. Soon, she discovers the truth of what happened in that house, and when the truth starts to come true... well, you're just going to have to read the book to find out! Happy haunting!

5-0 out of 5 stars it all started with an old fashioned canopy bed

5-0 out of 5 stars I thought it was the best book I have ever read.
When I read this book the first time I could not put it down. After I read it I wanted to get the rest of the series. I wasn't much of a scary book reader but now I know from this book that scary books are cool. Now I want to get the rest of Fear Street books.

5-0 out of 5 stars This book is full of School Spirit and Spirits!
Cheerleading has never been so scary!
If you've ever read a R.L. Stine Fear Street then you'll probably think this book is fantastic as I did. As usual R.L.Stine has a way of writing that draws you in with wicked cliffhangers and the book is no chore to get through. Quick and fun these books make me at 20 want to reread all the ones I have. This one is about to sisters who move to Shadyside and join the Screa-excuse me I mean, Cheerleading team. This being Shadyside you know your in for extreme chills and thrills!

5-0 out of 5 stars The Best!
I love this book. I had finished reading it and couldnt stop thinking about it. I first read it when i took it out of the library. But i had to buy it. My favorite character was Bobbi. I was so upset when she died. I have read all the cheerleader books and this is my favorite. I wrote a book that has cheerleaders in it but it is totally different. R.L Stine is a great author.

5-0 out of 5 stars Read em' All!!
I've read all of the books in the cheerleader series (even though i'm not a fan of the particular sport) and let me tell you that they are addicting. The storyline and characters are original and when some of my favorite characters died I couldn't help but tear up a bit:( [Basically there is an evil spirit that takes over people's body and make them KILL...the problem is you never know who the evil has inhabbited and in the end you're eventually to late to stop them.
DEFINITELY A MUST READ!!

5-0 out of 5 stars If you're wondering wether or not you should read this book
the answer is yes! This is the story of two new girls in town, twins named Bobbi and Corky. They join the cheerleading team almost right away, and make new enemies too-Kimmy, from the cheerleading team, for one. Then, one day, the team captain Jennifer is thrown from a bus and lands on top of Sarah Fear's grave. (Uh oh--a Fear. You know what that means!) Ever since that day, terrible accidents have started to happen-ending in murder. The team had better find out what's going on soon otherwise there are going to be sequels! :) Ha-ha. Highly reccomended! There are 6 books to do with these cheerleaders. Read them all! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Double Date ( Hi Miss.O its Jackie)
"Double Date" by R.L. Stine is a great book. It's about a boy named Bobby who is his school's player. He decides to date twin sister named Bree and Samantha to prove he is the man. But he didn't think he would fall for both of them. But things start to go wrong very wrong. He suspects that one of the girls is so in love with him that she'll do anything to have him to herself. Even kill for him!! But Bobby doesn't know which on could be a killer. Will Bobby have enough time to find out who the killer is and stop her before someone gets hurt? I guess you'll have to read the book to find out!! I would recommand this book to people who love suspense thillers with soem humor at the same time!! I promise yuo won't want to put this book down.

4-0 out of 5 stars Suspenseful and unexpected plot developments!
I read R.L. Stine's Double Date. This book is about a guy who thinks he is "God's gift to the world". That attitude gets him in troulbe when he decides to date twins at the same time. I think it is good book because there is a lot of plot twists. I never would have expected the end would be like it was. If you like R.L. Stine you would love this book.

3-0 out of 5 stars Two's company. But three can be murder.
Bobby Newkirk knows he's got the best looks in all of Shadyside High. No girl can resist going out with him, even though Bobby has been known to break the heart of any girl he ever dated. The new twin girls at school, Bree and Samantha, are one of the prettiest girls Bobby has ever met. So he decides to date both of them. But one of the twins is jealous--murderously jealous. Bobby must find out which of the twins isn't acting nice, or his double fun will turn to double terror.

This was an okay book--just okay. I really loved the beginning and middle. But when the ending came, things started to get bad. Everything got really confusing and a little weird. Then when I read the last chapter, I felt disappointed. Although the story had a surprise ending which I love, I didn't like it. I recommend this book only for R.L. Stine fans--not for a fan of any horror book.

2-0 out of 5 stars Okay
It was okay. But it was not as great as the other ones he has done, i liked it until about halfway through the book it was a little wierd after that. Otherwise it probably would be a five star book for me. I recomend checking out this book from the library, probably not buying it unless you realy want to, oh and dont check out the book on casette the guy reading it does girl voises extremly annoyingly!

4-0 out of 5 stars imangtive and creative
it's a really cool book, and it has an important moral, watever bad thing u do,it'll com back and bite u in da a$$,da coke think was kind stupid though, then again,i guess not, theres 1 thing this book had tat none others had, beliveble charcthers,it has a kinda weak plot, wat he does is risky, and there stupid not 2 nocited, but then again the endind explains all.it is higly onrignal

4-0 out of 5 stars THE DARE
My book is about a gril that is sou in love whith this kid named Dennis.Dennis best friend is Zack.Dennis and Zack are the most popular kids in the holl school.Do dis girl isint that popular but shel do anithing to go out whit hem even KILL.Now she is being dared by Dennis to KILL her own teacher,Mr,Northood, she doesn't say no.She can't.Besides, itwas omly a joke, right? But now the joke has gone too far, and the whole school is taking bets on johanna. The dare is serius.....dead serious. Will she really kill for love.

5-0 out of 5 stars This was a very intresting book to read.
I think that "The Dare" is a very intresting, elaborate, and original book. It was very exciting. How R.L.Stine thinks up stories, such as these, is a real mystery. This book is very realistic. The part about how there is the popular group and the unpopular group is life like. The unpopular group will usually do anything to be excepted by the popular group, so this story is based on real terms. I found that it was interesting how the popular kids could persuade a teacher just because they had money, and they could do basicly whatever they pleased because their family has more money. I think that this is one of those books that you just can't put down. You have an anxiety to turn the page and keep reading. This book and deserves the five stars that I gave it. It is very discriptive and enjoyable to believe. I reccomend that anyone that like horror, suspense, or romance to read this book because it has it all. I think that R.L.Stine has a very creative mind and he has expressed it in this book. So, ifyou ever want a good book to read, go to the library and get "The Dare."

5-0 out of 5 stars The Dare!!
The dare is kind of like a book that you want to read it. I would rate this book a 5 star because R.L. Stine is my favorite author and he's done a great job writing this book. You've gotta read this book. The Dare is about a girl named Jonnah and she can do anything to go out with the school's most popular boy. so when Dennis asks her out, she can't belive it,and she says "Yes!"
Now Jonnah can do anything to keep hanging around with her cool boyfriend and her cool friends. So when Dennis dares Jonnah to Kill their teacher, she dosen't say "No!" She says "Yes!" Do you think Jonnah is going to do what her COOL boyfriend and frinds tell her to do? If you want to know what is going to happen just read this book and you will be proud of yourself for reading this book. I recommend this book to all those people who likes mysterys and love stories. This is something you have got to read. R.L. Stine ROCKS!!

4-0 out of 5 stars THE DARE WAS...
a bit dissapointing, I must admit. But worth reading because it was very surprising and very original. Very different. You won't be able to guess what was really going on, but that doesn't make up for how dissapointing the explanation was. However, it just goes to show how creative R.L.Stine can be and that's why I gave it four stars.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not the best
I don't think this is the best R.L. Stine book he has written. It is so predictable! Even tho it's predictable (2 me n e ways) it's an ok book 2 read...not the best but it's ok!! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the best Fear Street books ever!
I felt that this book was one of the best out of all the Fear Street books! I found it was gross when Ezra Fier and his family went back to Wickham to find nothing but a few ageing neighbours and lots and of rotting corpses. But than it quickly goes to frightening when the ghost of Hester Godde takes Ezra's daughter Abigal to the grave and Hester's ghostly whisper ring's through the air "Can Abigal come to my house?" which swiches to a gleeful chant of "Abigal came to my house!". Well all in all this was a great book and I look forward to reading "The Burning"! ~Justine

5-0 out of 5 stars A very Frighting Story! Keeps You On The Edge!
After years of searching Ezra Fier beleaves he has found the Goodes in the village of Wicham. Only the Goodes are not there anymore. As for the rest of the people... DEAD! The Fiers move ino the Goodes old home-in Wicham-hoping they will return. Young Abigail Fier befriends a young girl who kills her! She was the ghost of Hester Goode. By marrying Delilah Goode/Wilson. Jonathan Fier thinks he can end the curse. But at the wedding Delilah is shot and killed! Jonathan buries the amulet along with his father and the curse. It stays buried for 100 years! But Elizabeth Fier finds the "pretty necklace" and unleashes the evil once agian. Franklin Goode kills Elizabeths sister Kate and tells Elizabeth it was suicide. Her brother Simon kills Frank before he kills Elizabeth. To escape the curse he changes the family name from Fier to Fear. And that is only the begining....

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome Book!!!
i think this was the best book R.L.Stine ever wrote!!!! It was awesome.........I cried when Abigal was found buried, and when almost everyone gets killed at Jonathan's wedding!!! Then i cried when Frank was killing all of the family slowly, and i thought it [was unacceptable] when the story ended because i loved it so much!!!!! i have to read the betrayl and the burning!!!!!
p.s. Read this book ank i promise you that it will change you!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars The terrible Secret of the family feud!
Ezra Fier began search for the Goode. Not a single Goode were oout there. He vow to search for them and destroy them. The curse were still there. Jonathan Fier, Ezra's son, believe that the curse would break if a Fier and a Goode get together. But he was wrong. Very wrong! Years later, the curse were still there. Jonathan thought he had put the curse away by married a Goode and bury the pendant of the Fier. But the curse were still there. Simon Fier thought if he change the last name Fier into Fear would break the family curse. He was deadly wrong!!! Nora Goode know the tail. Would she able to tell someone and break the curse before it's too late?

5-0 out of 5 stars A terrific book
I thought that The Secret by R.L. Stine was great! And I'm glad that Jonathan managed to keep the amulet buried for 100 years until his great grandaughter found it and unleashed the evil . And the part where Hester chants "Abigail came to my house" was scary and a little weird. P.S. FOr some people who heard that the Raven woman didn't come out, it did. If you don't believe me check Borders.com and type in Fear street sagas and there you'll see the Raven WOman Fear street saga #17. Thank you ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars The Best of the Parts of All!
The Fear Street Saga: The Burning was the best part of the books of all! Especially about Simon Fear how he had escaped the curse for a little while by changing his spelling of his last name. It didn't work when his two daughter were at each other! And then when Daniel came to visit that his Granfather Simon and Grandmother Angelice went out of their minds. I like the romance when Nora and Daniel decided to hook-up. That was awesome. I like that the best, and when they sneak out to get marry, but then what was really sad was that Daniel had plemish with his grandparents in the fire! I hate that!

This book was absoutely great! I suggesty this book to all Fear Street lover who like different combinations of events. Go out and buy or borrow! This book is TIGHT!

5-0 out of 5 stars After "The Betrayal". the best Fear Street book
Nora's story drws to a close, as she tells the final, and scariest chapter in the Fear Street Saga. Here is where the Fear family meets it's firey end, and where the curse may have ended, but the terror just got started.

5-0 out of 5 stars R. L. Stine is the best writer!!
Simon thought he could escape his family's curse by changing his last name from Fier to Fear. He was dead wrong. The Fiers and the Goodes have been at each other's throat ever since the fiers had an innocent girl put to death. Her father (a Goode) put a curse on the Fiers so that he could get his revenge on the Fiers.

This is a tragic story. I read this book in less than 4 hours. The plot is gruesome and there's a lot of twists in it. The part when Simon and Angelica drank blood was just disgusting but it goes to show how evil they were! i recommend this book to anyone who loves a good horror story. This is the most intriguing book i ever read. All that's missing is a happy ending.

5-0 out of 5 stars Third and Final Book in The Fear Street Saga
New Orleans, Louisiana--1845

From the moment Simon Fear saw Angelica Pierce at her Mardi Gras party, he knew he had to have her, even if that meant killing her two suitors. However, Angelica has a surprise of her own--she is just as eager to get rid of them as he is. She later reveals to Simon that she, too, is involved in the occult and wishes to manifest her "power through evil". Clearly, these two are a match made in hell, perfect for each other.

Twenty years pass and Simon and Angelica Fear now live in Shadyside Village. They have five children and are extremely wealthy. It seems as though Simon has finally fled his family curse. That is, until one horrible afternoon when two of his daughters are brutally murdered in a twisted turn of events. Thereafter, the Fear couple shut themselves in and refuse to ever leave their mansion.

It's not until 35 years later, in 1900, that the final climax to the Fear-Goode saga occurs when Daniel Fear (the grandson of the above couple) falls in love with Nora Goode, a descendent of the Fear's mortal enemies. Nora is the one responsible for starting this trilogy in the hopes that the centuries-old battle between the Fears and Goodes would finally come to an end. And it does, but not exactly as she had hoped.

"The Burning" is the third and final book in The Fear Street Saga, preceded by "The Betrayal" (#1) and "The Secret" (#2). This is a must-read for those of you who have already read the previous two books. Highly recommended for Fear Street fans.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Fear Street Saga!
It was began just a fire. Not just an ordinary fire. A fire that killed an innocent woman. It began with with 2 families: the Goode and the Fier. Susannah Goode was burned at stake with her mother. The 2 innocent women died because of fault accusation of being a witch, doing magic. Then the father of Susannah Goode, George, never forgave for what the Fier did. They took everything from him, money, his wife, his daughter. He set the curse on the Fier family. Jonathan Fier thought if a Goode and a Fier could be together the curse will break. He was wrong. Very wrong! Simon Fier thought if he change the last name Fier to Fear would end the curse. He was deadly wrong! Simon wants the beautiful Angelica Pierce than anything else in the world. He would do anything for her. Then the curse back again when a Goode appear. Nora know the family history. Can she stops the curse before it too late? ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars HORRIFYING AND DISTURBING...AND THIS IS JUST THE BIGINNING
This is the book where R.L. Stine finally reveals why Fear Street is so haunting and terrifying. THE BETRAYAL starts out in the 1900s in Shadyside, Massachusetts. Nora Goode is a young girl who just lost her lover, Daniel Fear, in a terrible house fire that fire fighters couldn't even put out. Nora knows the terrible secrets of Fear Street and must let everybody know before it's too late.

She's the narrator, and she starts writing a book about the street. Her story starts out during the 1600s in Wickham, Massachusetts - a time when witchcraft is a very dangerous gift to posess. Anyways, a young pretty girl named Susannah Goode lives with her family in the village and soon becomes attracted to Edward Fier the son of Wickham's "governer", Benjamin Fier. When Benjamin learns that Edward wants to marry Susannah because they are in love, Benjamin falsely accuses Susannah and her mother of practicing witchcraft because he believes Susannah is "not a perfect match" for Edward. So he ends up burning Susannah and her mother at stake. Furious, Susannah's father - who really does practice witchcraft - puts an evil spell on the Fier family that they will all die and pay for stealing his innocent family away from him.

The first part in this saga ends when Edward finds out the truth about Susannah - it's several years later and Edward has been married to another woman - and her mother.

THE BETRAYAL is a really great book and a must read for all FEAR STREET fans. It's so good you can't put it down 'til you've finished. I really recommend it, and I also recommend the other two parts in this saga: THE SECRET and THE BURNING. Awesome, fun books to read for a relaxing evening!

5-0 out of 5 stars The Best book about Fear Street
Deep in the heart of Shadyside, a small, but lovely town, lurks a terror, far beyond those ever imagined. Fear Street. Murders, ghosts, Betrayal, Revenge and Dark secrets thrive on this infamous Road. But why DO so many terrifying things happen on Fear Street, and where did it gets it's name? The Evil goes far back in time, a story Nora Goode knows far too well. A story of Evil, an evil that has cursed the Fear family for generations, an Evil that destroyed Nora's one true love. Now Nora must tell her story. This is the first (and probably the best) of the Three Fear Street Saga books. Nora is the Narrorator, and her story goes all the way back to Wickham Village,Massachusetts, to Susannah Goode, a girl who is burned at the stake, accused of witchcraft because the father of the man she loves sees her unfit to wed his son. Susannah's father, a real witch, puts a terrible curse on the family, that will follow the Fiers (later changed to FEAR) through generations, will destroy the Fear family. Personally, this is the best book in the Fear Street series, beautifully written, it's best to have the second and third parts on hand, because once you start, you won't want to stop.

5-0 out of 5 stars awsome book
I really like this book a lot. The only part that I do not like about this book is when they burned on that stick for something that they are not. I think that this book would be great for anyone to read.

4-0 out of 5 stars This book flamed my interest and kept it till the last page!
I read this book ages ago and since then have read a thousand more but this book sticks out in my memory. The Fear Street Saga is imo the best of R.L. Stine. There's constant action and terrifying dark magic and a killer curse to keep one glued to the pages. I also highly suggest Christopher Pike as well, like R.L. Stine he does not talk to the reader like a person talks to a two year old but as intelligent readers of whatever age (myself being 20).

4-0 out of 5 stars The end was too sad for me
This book is great?I read this book in two days and i might read it again. The only part that i did not like was the sad ending

5-0 out of 5 stars No one to call for help - when murder is on the line!
To Deena and her best friend, Jade, making sexy and innocent phone calls to the boys from school was their idea of fun. But Deena's half brother, Chuck, decides to take the game one step further: making dangerous threats to those who answer their phones. That's when he calls the wrong number on Fear Street, a number where the gruesome murder took place. Now, the person knows who they are and where they live, but could all three of them call for help? There's nowhere to go when murder is on the line.

With great suspense and wonderfully written, "The Wrong Number" will have you gripping on the edge of your seat! A book that you will not put down until it's read from cover to cover.

I love reading the Fear Street books, and I'm 22 years old. Hey, I know you're laughing at me! I bet you there are people my age or older who read R.L. Stine.

4-0 out of 5 stars On The Line
Wrong Number is not so much a horror novel but a mystery reminiscent of Nancy Drew.
Deena and Jade are forced to appoint themselves detectives after Deena's kind brother, Chuck, is arrested for a murder he didn't do..A murder they all witnessed!
It all started when the three teens practiced a prank call, and heard a woman beg them for help.

4-0 out of 5 stars A good book...
This book is very exciting. Once you start reading the book you can't put it down till you finish the whole story...
You should also read the Wrong Number 2, it's just as good..
You will enjoy reading both the books.

5-0 out of 5 stars Murder Mystery
This book was awesome! It had a lot of suspense in it. A great murder mystery story! The wrong number 2 was just as good. One of R.L. Stines best books!

2-0 out of 5 stars Not the best book

5-0 out of 5 stars "When Jessie moved into Emily's room, the terror began....."
This was my absolute favorite fear street book! when i went to Barnes and Noble for a couple fear street books, i was so interested when i saw this book i knew i had to read it. this book only took me one hour to read. it was soooooooooo suspensful! I couldn't put it down. everything about the book is suspesnful; the cover, the back summary, everything!
This is what it is about:
Emily is excited when her new stepsister moves in. jessie seems nice and cool until the terror begins. it starts off with Jessie
ripping the head of a teddy bear off. then Emily's report is arased completly off the computer. But then a murder happens...... Emily has to stop Jessie before she does some thing really bad and evil!

2-0 out of 5 stars "When she moved into Emily's room, the terror began...."
"The Stepsister" was the first R. L. Stine book I ever read. Strangely, I never read any of his books when I was a kid. I suppose even then I couldn't tolerate them. They were too simplistic to the point of "dumbing down" the reader. But being the horror fan that I am, I decided to buy some of his books in bulk (all at clearance price, thank god) a year or so ago and began reading them.

It only took me about a day to read "The Stepsister," which is the typical reading time of a Stine book. That's at least one nice thing about his books--they're quick. Unfortunately, they also read like they've been written in a day. There's very little detail, almost no character development, repetitive actions and story lines, etc. Because of this, I'm surprised his books are so popular. You would think most younger readers would tire of the same cookie-cutter stories. Granted, there are a couple books I like by Stine (namely The Fear Street Saga trilogy), but "The Stepsister" is not one of them.

The book, in summary, is about 16-year-old Emily Casey who begins to have her doubts about her new stepsister's (Jessie Wallner) sanity when she finds out about her "serious emotional problems" via Emily's older sister, Nancy. Soon Jessie's annoying habit of "borrowing" Emily's clothes and deleting her social studies homework on the computer don't seem as important as having a psychotic killer in the house.

Yet it's not until somebody puts peroxide in Emily's shampoo (wouldn't she have smelled the chemical beforehand?) and kills her dog that Emily begins to strongly suspicion Jessie. The final indication comes after Emily reads her stepsister's diary and discovers Jessie had been involved in a fatal accident. Did Jessie really kill her best friend? Or had it just been an accident? And would the same thing happen to Emily?

To be fair, "The Stepsister" does have a somewhat surprising ending--that is, if you make assumptions about the characters based on the title alone. However, as I mentioned before, the book reads like a cutout of Stine's other Fear Street books, and, once again, the killer's motive is absolutely ludicrous. But for those who did enjoy this book, then you might like the sequel as well.

4-0 out of 5 stars Stepsister
This book I just couldn't put down, it is so good and makes you want to keep reading. I am the type of person that's hates reading but there was something about this book. It is the way the author uses his words it is a suspenseful book. I recommend this book to people that are not looking for a long dramatic book but one that states all the facts. It is a fun book to talk about to your friends.

5-0 out of 5 stars Someone wants Emily dead but who?
Stepsister is a great book.Everything about it was suspense. In the story Emily's new stepsister moves into her room.Ever since bad things have been happening to Emily. On the first day Jessie "accidentally" ripped off Emily's teddy bears head. Things kept getting worse.Jessie wants Emily dead, badly. Or is it someone else?Emily is scared to death of her own stepsister. Her sister Nancy tries to help Emily. But one day the family went on a camping trip and Nancy disappears. Next thing you know Emily is in an open grave.Someone was trying to kill her with an ax.Who was it? Read the book to find out. I recommend this book to thrill lovers and also mystery lovers.

2-0 out of 5 stars Better Off Dead!
I picked up this book thinking is going to be more interesting this book was more fiction than real. I was reading this book for my English class period 4 this book was easy to read and easy to understand. I think people should read it if they like fiction.

5-0 out of 5 stars A informational book that ties it all together
I personally thought that this book was one of the better ones it starts out with Christina her father has just died and she lives with her aunt that hates her she listens in on a conversation her aunt has and she thinks she has hired someone to kill her so she runs away and runs into matthew fier who is looking for his family heirloom which she found. It also tells of how the pendant came to be by revenge on Conn the lifetime sworn enemy of one of the most feirce warriors of the Celts...Fieran he makes the amulet and is later killed by his wife Breanna because she wants the power for herself and she reveals that she is having his child and that the family will go on for centuries...I personally loved this book and if you really love this series you will enjoy this book.

3-0 out of 5 stars This explains it all...
This book was more of an informational book becasue it explained the reason as to why the Fier family is cursed. I didn't really enjoy this book becasue the plot was boring and it was set too far back in the past for me. I thought how Brianna betrayed Fieran was just plain wrong. He trusted her with all his heart and she just got him killed. So much for trust. I would recommed this book to all Fear Street readers, because it explains the whole reason as to why the Fear family is cursed.
(I would also recommend "Awaking Evil" by R.L. Stine)

3-0 out of 5 stars Very good, but could've been improved.
I liked reading this book. I think it had great descriptive language and an intriguing premise about the mystery of the Fier amulet. However, I think The Sign of Fear could have been improved. The way Conn, the villain in the story set earlier in this book, became chief confused me. The character of Fieran has many visions and at times they become rather tiresome. Brianna was a predictable back-story, and Fieran was stupid for trusting her. In the tale that is set in the late 1600's, the character Matthew has a really see-through secret. It's mostly the characters that are all too familiar in these types of books really don't have any mystery to them. All that excluded, I can still recommend The Sign of Fear for its originality (R.L. Stine uses the idea of having blood to survive in Dance of Death also), the way it makes you think about the story after reading and the fabulous descriptions. It may not be as recommendable as some other Fear Street books, but I read it without too many groans.

5-0 out of 5 stars A scary ,sad , angry , exciting , non boring Book!!!!!!!!!!!
This book is good if you want to know about the mysterous Fear amulet. Here's the summery for it

ACROSS THE CENTURIES, THEIR LIVES WERE LINKED BY EVIL...

5-0 out of 5 stars Fear Street: College Weekend
Tina was dying to see her boyfriend Josh, but when she got to the college were he was, he was in the mountains with "car trouble." Josh's roomate, Christopher Roberts, picks Tina and her cousin, Holly, and takes them to the dorm were Josh lives. But then suddenly Holly disappears. And.... read the book to find out what happens to Holly, and what happens to Josh and Tina.

4-0 out of 5 stars It's not just a college weekend--it's a terror weekend
Tina Rivers is super excited about visiting her boyfriend Josh Martin at Patterson College. She doesn't even mind that her cousin Holly is coming with her. But right as she arrives at the college, terror strikes. Josh's roommate Christopher Roberts says that Josh is delayed by snow trouble in the mountains. But Josh never said anything about going to the mountains. And suddenly Holly disappears. Christopher doesn't seem to care, though. All he cares about is getting what he wants--and the things he wants aren't good things.

The murderer in this, Cristopher, is obvious. Who he kills is the mystery. Knowing who the murderer was made it scarier. Out of all the Fear Street books, Christopher has got to be one of the craziest killers. Anyway, I really loved this book but I didn't give it five stars for one reason. The ending went way too fast. When you're reading, it feels like there's much more things coming. But you soon realize that the book is practically over.

Overall, it was a great Fear Street book.

5-0 out of 5 stars I am crudless
This book scared the crud out of me, mainly cause you knew who the killer was, which it made obviouse on purpose, and you just keep waiting for the moment when the person will strike. And i honestly could not put the book down it is the only one where i forgot i had to go to the bathroom, or dinner was ready, and i think this might be my favorite fear street. I highly ^ recommend this book.

4-0 out of 5 stars College Weekend
The Book I read was College Weekend by R.L. Stine. This book takes place at Patterson College. A senior in high school named Tina is visiting her boyfriend,Josh, for he weekend. Tina and Josh have not seen eachother in 3 months. Tina's cousin,Holly, is visiting as well. Tina and Holly planned on meeting Josh at a train station, but when they arrived Josh wasn't there. Tina thought,"Well maybe he is running a couple of minutes late," but what turned into a couple of minutes was several hours. Finally Josh's room mate, Chris, came to pick up Holly and Tina because Josh went on a hiking trip and wouldn't be back later that night. Chris was going to take the girls back to their dorm. Tina noticed that was Chris was always checking her out. When Chris dropped the girls off at his dorm, Tina noticed something strange, Josh had always told her he had all sorts of picutes of her in his dorm, but Tina didn't notice any in the room. A girl named Carla was in Josh's dorm room. Carla was one of their college friends whos boyfriend, Steve, is on the hiking trip with Josh. Carla tells the girls that Chris was close with his old girlfriend, but she died in a sail boating accident and Chris hasn't dated anyone since. When Tina looked in Josh's closet she found his hiking boots in there,"Didn't Chris say he went on a hiking trip?" While the girls were waiting for Josh they went to a party. Chris tried to hit on Tina, Tina was shocked. After the party, Tina could not find Holly anywhere, she is missing and Josh hasn't returned from his trip. Is Josh really on a hiking trip? And why is Holly missing in action?
I enjoyed this book a great deal. It is a mixture of Mystery, Romance and Horror, which I like. It kept me wanting to turn the page. It also was shocking. I would recomend this book to anyone who enjoys solving mysteries. I would also recomend this book to 13 years and older.

4-0 out of 5 stars Wow...

5-0 out of 5 stars I liked it a lot, first it was slow but it got better later.
Like I said it was slow at first but it got better. If I were you I would read it. It is not scary. It is hard to figuer out what is going to happen. You might think you know what is going to happen but than something else happens. I love this book and I could tell you what happens but I won't you have to read it to find out what happens. I liked this book so much I did a book report on it. If you have not read it you should. I loved it.

3-0 out of 5 stars Okay
This book was boring for me the first 8 chapters, but after that it got better. 5-0 out of 5 stars 'the Confession', what a book!
I thought that this book was a real chiller, smack down to my core! As i am a big fan of R.L.Stine's famous Fear Streets, and have read most of them, this one is one of my favourites. I liked the extraordionary language he has used and the way he makes it so very interestion for the reader. This book is like a magnet. You have to keep reading it, because every chapter is written in such a way, that it is linked to the next.
The book describes a perfect plan of a murder, with suprises right till the last word. And just when you think that, that person is the murder 'BAM', this person gets killed!
If i had to compare this story to any of his other books, i would say that this one does not only stand out for it's 'roller-blading kill scnene', but is also one book which you can read all over again, and not get bored!
I recoment this book to all the people who love a good horror story and a sleep-less nights of thinking about this ficton-story!

5-0 out of 5 stars I would suggest this book for everyone to read.
I have 78 of R.L. Stine's books and I can honestly say that I love every one of them. In this book, Julie and all of her friends hated Al. They all wished that he were dead. Julie does not think that any of her friends could everbe capable of murdering someone until one of them confesses that they killed Al. If they keep it a secret, will he kill someone else? I guess the only way to find out is to try keeping it a secret for now. This was a really great book. To find out what happens to Julie and her friends, I would suggest that everyone reads this book to learn whether you should trust all of your friends, even thought you think that you know them so well.

5-0 out of 5 stars One Of My Fav Books
This book is great! I loved it sooooo much. If you wanna stop the book in like the first chapter, well don't! Like every chapter it just keeps gettin better and better. If this is your first R.L. Stine book reading belive me it won't be your last! I've read sooooo many of these books. Sometimes I read Fear Street books in 2 days. READ THIS BOOK!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars "Sometimes the truth can kill you."
Al Freed, an ex-friend of 17-year-old Julie Carlson's, starts blackmailing her and her friends for small things at first--lunch money, class notes--until one of Julie's friends (Sandy Miller) kills Al as a way to protect them. The five friends--Julie, Sandy, Hillary Walker, Taylor Snook, and Vincent Freedman--promise to keep it a secret, but Sandy's behavior has been too threatening lately, making Julie fear she might be his next victim.

Like most of Stine's books, "The Confession" was a breeze to finish; and like only a few of his books, it's one I halfway enjoyed. The trite cliffhangers and simple writing style are all still the same, but at least it was fast paced enough for me to finish it off in only a few hours. Recommended to Fear Street fans.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Book !
